Objective: To study difference of the immune response between oral administration and intraperitoneal injection of total polysaccharide of Sijunzi decoction (SJTP) in mice. Methods: The immunosuppressed mice model was established by intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide (CY). The effects of SJTP on the weight of immune organs, hemolysin response and delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) were observed, and the influences on normal mouse spleen lymphocytic proliferation of mice were also studied. Results:SJTP can remarkably counteract the immunosuppression induced by CY, decrease the weight loss immune organs, increase the hemolysin response and DTH,and promote the proliferation of lymphocytes. The effect of oral administration is superior to intrapertoneal injection. Conclusion:SJTP can improve the humoral and cellalar immunity of mice. The immune activities resulting from oral administration of SJTP have some special characteristics, and its possible mechanism is also discussed.

Different varieties of Terminalia chebula Retz. were identified by DNA finger prints, andat the same time, some problems encountered during the application of RAPD for the identification ofTCM were studied. The polymorphic features of DNA finger prints of different species were compared. Results of the study showed that they were differently related in heredity which can provide a basis for thedifferentiation of one species from the other. Means for the solution of problems arised during RAPD ap-plication were suggested. It was concluded that RAPD is an effective method to identify T. chebula from itsconfusable varieties.

Objective To summarize the prenatal ultrasonographic characteristics of anomalous origin of one pulmonary artery from the aorta( AOPA ) ,and describe the diagnostic and clinical outcomes of fetal AOPA . Methods Echocardiographic characteristics of 3 fetuses with AOPA were reviewed . The ultrasonographic features were comparatively analyzed with postpartum autopsy findings . The relevant literature were reviewed and the experience of prenatal diagnosis of AOPA were summarized . Results In 3 cases with AOPA ,2 cases were the proximal type and anomalous origin of right pulmonary artery from the aorta ,of them ,one was accompanied with coarctation of the aorta , the other was accompanied with aortopulmonary window . One case was the distal type and anomalous origin of left pulmonary artery from the left innominate aorta ,it was only associated with mirror right aortic arch and right ductus arteriosus . Ultrasound characteristics were no bifurcation in distal pulmonary artery ,main trunk of pulmonary artery extends directly to one branch ,the other branch originated from the ascending aorta or left innominate artery . Three cases were confirmed by postpartum autopsy . Conclusions There are some characteristic signs on ultrasonic features of AOPA . Prenatal ultrasound has important value for diagnosis of AOPA .
