Objective To examine the validity and reliability of the abbreviated mental test (AMT) among Chinese subjects. Methods Two groups of subjects participated in the study. One group consisted of 38 patients with neurological disorders and the other 30 normal subjects (control group). They were assessed twice with AMT and mini mental state examination (MMSE) within one week. Results AMT was significantly correlated with MMSE as far as the total score and item scores were concerned( r =0.706～0.833).There were moderate to high correlation in all the items of AMT between the two assessment tools(ICC=0.810～0.996). 37 diabetic patients and 49 normal subjects were examined with Goldmann-Weekers dark adaptometer.The results showed that the absolute thresholds of dark adaptation in each group of diabetic patients were higher than those in normal controls. The more severe retinopathy was, the higher was the absolute threshold.The patients with more damaged visual acuity showed worse dark adaptation. However the dark adaptation in patients with good visual acuity was also abnormal.lt is suggested that dark adaptation is more sensitive than visual acuity in determining the visual function of diabetic patients.

Objective To analyze the clinical application value of endometrial collector combined with liquid based cytology and histological examination for screening of endometrial cancer.Methods One hundred and eighty-two cases high-risk people with endometrial cancer in Songgang People's Hospital of Bao'an district of Shenzhen from June 2014 to December 2015 were collected,among them 71 patients with endometrial cancer were found in the patients who were diagnosed by pathological diagnosis,and the remaining 111 were not diagnosed with endometrial cancer.The material satisfaction,sample collection time of sample collection and endometrial curettage device were comparatively analyzed and also the cervical dilatation production rate,the amount of bleeding,pain score(VAS) were analyzed.The application value of endometrial collector combined with liquid based cytology and histological examination for screening of endometrial cancer was judged according to the results obtained.Results There was no significant difference between the two methods based on satisfaction(χ2=1.953,P=0.089).A methods of cervical endometrial expansion rate(3.85% vs.93.96%) and acquisition time((16.35±2.19) min vs.(11.23±4.26) min),bleeding volume((1.64±0.63) ml vs.(15.73±5.41) ml),VAS score((0.82±0.24) points vs.(4.34±2.43) points) were significantly lower than that of curettage sample collection method(χ2=16.473,P=0.000;t=5.733,P=0.034;t=11.183,P=0.000;t=3.618,P=0.043).With curettage pathological diagnosis as the gold standard,the specificity,sensitivity and diagnostic coincidence rate of endometrial biopsy combined with liquid based cytology and histological examination for screening endometrial carcinoma were respectively 94.51%,95.05% and 94.96%.Conclusion Compared with curettage sampling method,endometrial curettage collector has features of high success rate,short time,low pain and high security and the cervical dilation rate is low.Endometrial curettage collector can be combined with liquid based cytology and histology to examine and screen endometrial cancer.This methods is worth promoting.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of hysteroscopic treatment for submucous uterine myoma.Methods From January 2000 to December 2004,a total of 168 women with submucous leiomyoma of the uterus were treated by hysteroscopy in our hospital.According to the type of the myomas,electro-resection was performed in different ways.For the patients with massive hemorrhage or older than 45 years,the endometrium was resected during the operation.Results The operation was completed in all the cases within 5 to 65 minutes mean,(27.6?12.1)minutes].The mean blood loss was(40.1?10.2)ml(8-50 ml).After the surgery,2 patients developed uterine perforation,3 had hyponatremia,and 5 showed transient fever.Among the patients,160(95.2%)were satisfied with the outcomes of the surgery.Conclusions Transcervical electro-resection by hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive,safe,and effective method for submucous uterine myoma.Preoperative preparation,strict indication criteria,and intraoperative monitor are three key points to avoid operation-related complications.

Objective To observe the effect of humanistic nursing care in rehabilitation ward.Methods 440 inpatients in rehabilitation ward were randomly divided into the observation group(228 cases,treated with humanistic nursing)and control group(212 cases,treated with traditional nursing).40 cases in each group received the investigation of patients' satisfaction to the service.Results The satisfactory rate of the patients in the control group to the attitude of the service,the nursing skill and health education missionary were 72.5%,75% and 67.5% respectively,but that of the patients in the observation group were all 100%,there was a significant difference between two groups(P<0.01).Conclusion Humanistic nursing care in rehabilitation ward can improve nursing qualification and increase patients' satisfactory rate.

Objective To investigate the effects of sevoflurane preconditioning on autophagy after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rats and the role of C-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway.Methods Sixty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing 220-250 g,were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =15 each) using a random number table:sham operation group (group S),group TBI,TBI + sevoflurane preconditioning group (group TBI + Sevo) and TBI + sevoflurane preconditioning + JNK inhibitor SP600125 group (group TBI + Sev + SP).TBI models were established using Feeney' s method.In TBI + Sev and TBI + Sev + SP groups,the rats inhaled 2.4％ sevoflurane for 30 min once a day for 4 concecutive days,and TBI was produced at 24 h after the end of sevoflurane preconditioning.In TBI + Sev + SP group,SP600125 (6 mg/kg) was injected intrapetitoneally at 30 min after TBI.Five rats were chosen at day 1,3,and 7 after TBI,and neurological deficit score (NDS) was measured.The rats were then sacrificed and brains were removed to measure brain water content,expression of LC3 lⅡ and Beclin-1 mRNA (using PCR),and expression of LC3 Ⅱ,Beclin-1,JNK and phosphorylated JNK (p-JNK) (by Western blot).Results Compared with group S,brain water content and NDS were significantly increased,and the expression of LC3 Ⅱ and Beclin-1 protein and mRNA,JNK,and p-JNK was up-regulated in the other three groups.Brain water content and NDS were significantly decreased,and the expression of LC3 Ⅱ and Beclin-1 protein and mRNA,JNK,and p-JNK was down-regulated in TBI + Sev and TBI + Sev + SP groups as compared with group TBI,and in TBI + Sev + SP group as compared with TBI + Sev group.Conclusion The mechanism by which sevoflurane preconditioning mitigates TBI is related to inhibiton of activation of JNK signaling pathway and decreased autophagy in rats.

Objective:To study the influence of different methods on serum soluble intercellular adhesion molecule1 (sICAM1) in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods: Double antibody enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay was used. Results and Conclusion: Scalp point-to-point acupuncture has a significant reducing effect on abnormally elevated serum sICAM1 in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Its curative effect is superior to that of simple Western medicine. There is a significant difference between them (P＜0.05).

The authors punctured the acupoints Jianyu (LI 15), Jianliao (TE 14), Jianzhen (SI 9), Binao (LI 14), Quchi (LI 11), Shousanli (LI 10) and Hegu (LI 4) and applied massage to the affected regions to treat 32 cases of the myotenositis of long head of biceps brachii. The results showed 8 cases were cured, 10 cases were remarkably effective, 11 cases were effective and 3 cases got no effect; the total effective rate was 90.6%.
