Objective To study the changes of serum high mobility group box 1 protein ( HMGB-1 ) in patients with traumatic acute lung injury (ALI) and determine its correlations with MODS,acute physiology and chronic health evaluation ( APACHE Ⅱ ) scores and whether it can predict the incidence of MODS and mortality.Methods Forty cases of ALI were divided into MODS group (n =13) and nonMODS group (n =27) according to the MODS evaluation standard.The serum HMGB-1 was determined in the control group ( 10 healthy persons) and the MODS and non-MODS groups at days 1,4 and 7.The MODS and APACHE Ⅱ scores were also evaluated.Results Between the groups,the HMGB-1 level at days 1,4 and 7 in non-MODS group was higher than that in the control group,while lower than that in MODS group (P＜0.05).Within the non-MODS group,the expression of HMGB-1 showed a high level at day 4 compared with that at day 1 ( P ＜0.01 ) ; the HMGB-1 showed a low level at day 7 with clinical symptom improvement compared with that at day 4,and was even lower than that at day 1 ( P ＜ 0.01 ).Within the MODS group,the serum HMGB-1 level was significantly increased,and continued for several days; the HMGB-1 was decreased slightly at day 7 in comparison with that at day 4,but was still higher than that at day 1.The difference of MODS and APACHE Ⅱ score was significant,with the dynamic change of HMGB-1 level at days 1,4 and 7 after traumatic ALI.The correlative analysis showed that HMGB-1 expression level was remarkably related with MODS score and APACHE Ⅱ score.Conclusions HMGB-1 shows a high expression in patients with traumatic ALI.As a late mediator of inflammation,HMGB-1 usually increases relatively late and lasts for a long duration.HMGB-I level and concurrency MODS are closely related.Routine test of serum HMGB-1 level and joint assessment of MODS and APACHE Ⅱ score are contributive to the prediction of organ dysfunction after traumatic ALI.

N-Benzyl matrinol was obtained by hydrolysis, benzylation and reduction reaction from matrine. A series of hybrids (8a-8n) from (phenylsulfonyl)furoxan and N-benzyl matrinol were synthesized and biologically evaluated as anti-hepatocellular carcinoma agents. All target compounds were evaluated for anti-proliferative activity against human hepatocellular Bel-7402, SMMC-7721, Bel-7404, and HepG2 cells in vitro by MTT method. The results indicated that all of these compounds had potent anti-proliferative activity which were more potent than their parent compound and 5-FU, especially 8a-8h and 8j showed the strongest anti-HCC HepG2 cell activity with IC50 values of 0.12-0.93 μmol x L(-1).

Objective:To study the effect of different substrates coated on the cell survival and neurite outgrowth of spinal motor neurons (SMN) from embryonic rat cultured in vitro.Methods:The ventral spinal tissue was isolated from embryonic rats and digested into dissociated cell suspention for culture,then the cells were identified as SMN by immunohistochemistry stain.Poly-L-lysine(PLL) was dissolved into distilled water,phosphate-buffered saline solution,boric acid at 0.1 and 0.01 mol/L concentration respectively.The different substrates include PLL,collagen Ⅰ,laminin and PLL combined with laminin.Distilled water was used as control.The neuron survival numbers and the mean length of the neurites were measured and compared.Results:The cells on the PLL dissolved into boric acid at 0.01 mol/L concentration survived well.The SMNs grown on the PLL combined with laminin were in dispersed disitribution with high survival rate.Conclusion:PLL combined with laminin is the best for the study of the motor neuron including both soma and neurite.

Objective To provide the nurse care evidence of nutritional intervention in patients with lung cancer during radiotherapy and chemotherapy by analyzing the nutritional status of these patients.Methods 55 patients with lung cancer who received chemotherapy and radiotherapy were selected.The nutritional status of these patients were evaluated by laboratory examination data at the time of hospitalized,ongoing and the end of radiotherapy. Results The hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(ALB),body mass and body mass index(BMI)were (130.50 ±17.80)g/L, (41.02 ±5.68)g/L,(61.29 ±8.75)kg,(22.36 ±2.78)kg/m2 respectively at admission;(115.90 ±19.00)g/L, (37.94 ±5.55)g/L,(59.95 ±9.05 )kg,(21.86 ±2.86)kg/m2 respectively during the course of radiotherapy;(110.40 ±19.40)g/L,(36.91 ±5.30)g/L,(58.91 ±9.30)kg,(21.48 ±2.99)kg/m2 respectively at the end of radiotherapy.At different stages of radiotherapy,the nutritional index gradually decreased,the Hb was lower in the middle of the radiotherapy than on admission,the difference was significant(t =8.611,P <0.05).The Hb in the late stage of radiotherapy was lower than the middle,the difference was significant(t =2.492,P <0.05).Although the ALB in the latter stage of radiotherapy was lower than the middle,but the difference was not statistically significant (t =1.464,P >0.05),and the difference was significant compared with on admission(t =4.815,P <0.05).The weight of the patients in the middle period of radiotherapy was less than the time of admission,but the difference was not statistically significant(t =0.781,P >0.05).The weight of patients in the late stage of radiotherapy was lower than the medium term,but the difference was not statistically significant as well(t =0.601,P >0.05),and there was no significant difference compared with on admission(t =1.382,P >0.05).The BMI of the patients with radiotherapy was lower than that at the time of admission,the difference was not statistically significant(t =0.091,P >0.05).The BMI of patients with radiotherapy was lower than that in the medium term,whereas the difference was not statistically significant(t =0.690,P >0.05),and the difference was not statistically significant compared with on admission(t =1.599,P >0.05).The Hb (F =16.643,P =0.000)and ALB(F =7.736,P =0.001)decreased significantly in particular.Conclusion The risk of malnutrition in patients with lung cancer is exist during radiotherapy and chemo-therapy,and it is obvious in the middle -late stage,the changes of physical and biochemical indexes have been appeared,and among them,Hb and ALB are the most obvious,so should be monitored and managed cause these data varied significantly.

Objective To improve the clinical prognosis of patients by reviewing ten years epidemiology data of acute poisoning inpatients.Methods The epidemiology data of the acute poisoning inpatients from 2006-2015 were retrospectively analyzed.The indexes including age,gender,nationality,geographical distribution,substance of poison,seasons,diagnosis and fee-for-service were collected.Results There were 1 083 patients with acute poisoning in total,624 cases (57.6％) for gas poisoning,213 cases (19.7％) for pesticide poisoning,136 cases (12.6％) for drug poisoning,74 cases (6.8％) for food poisoning and 36 cases for others.The ration of male to female was 0.94:1.The age of 31 to 45 range accounted for the highest proportion.The incidence of poisoning in 2011-2015 was significantly higher than that in 2006-2010 (P ＜0.05).The geographical distribution was also significantly different (P ＜0.05),most of the cases were in Shihezi city,then were Manasi and Sawan counties.Among the 1 083 patients,59％ cases were cured,33.6％ cases were improved after treatment,and the mortality rate was 2.6％.Feefor-service was also significantly increased in the older patients or males,and substance of poisoning dependent.The highest treatment cost was carbon monoxide poisoning,then were pesticide,drugs and food.Conclusions The common causes of poisoning in Shihezi city were carbon monoxide,organophosphorus pesticide,botulism and drugs,more emergency medical service should prevent poisoning and treat these patients.

BACKGROUND:Hyaluronic acid or compound betamethasone for treatment of knee osteoarthritis can reduce inflammatory reactions in the joints, relieve pain, and protect the function of the knee joint. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical efficacy of intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid combined with compound betamethasone on middle-stage knee osteoarthritis as wel as protective effect on joint function. METHODS:A total of 100 patients with II, III knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into two groups: intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid (2 mL) as control group and intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid (2 mL) combined with compound betamethasone (1 mL) as testing group. The intra-articular injection was carried out once a week, totaly for consecutive 5 weeks. Visual analog scale score, Lysholm knee joint score and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were compared between two groups before and after treatment. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After treatment, the visual analog scale score, Lysholm knee joint score and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were improved significantly in the two groups as compared with those before treatment (P < 0.05); in addition, these parameters were al better in the testing group than the control group (P < 0.05). No systemic adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. These findings indicate that the intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid combined with compound betamethasone can reduce inflammatory reactions, relieve pain, and improve joint function.

BACKGROUND:Medical polyethylene glycol berberine is a biomaterial against tissue adhesion, with anti-inflammatory effects, which can prevent scar formation and reduce local inflammation. OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of medical polyethylene glycol berberinevia shoulder joint injections on subacromial impingement syndrome. METHODS:Forty patients with subacromial impingement syndrome I, II were voluntarily divided into two groups: biomaterial group (n=20), single intra-articular injection of 3 mL medical polyethylene glycol berberine; conservative treatment group (n=20), single subacromial space closed treatment of betamethasone combined with lidocaine hydrochloride folowed by oral administration of celecoxib 200 mg once, twice a day, totaly for 1 week. Patients were folowed up clinicaly for visual analog scale scores, range of motion of the shoulder and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons scores. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Both of two groups had a great improvement in visual analog scale scores, range of motion of the shoulder and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons scores after treatment (P< 0.05), and these scores were improved more significantly in the biomaterial group than the conservative treatment group at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months after treatment (P < 0.001). These findings indicate that the intra-articular injection of medical polyethylene glycol berberine for subacromial impingement syndrome can effectively aleviate shoulder pain, improve shoulder mobility, and promote functional recovery of the shoulder.
