1.Design of wearable ECG monitoring system based on biofeedback technology

Objective:A wearable ECG monitoring system is designed. Methods:By biofeedback technology and biofeedback training, a wearable ECG monitoring system with functions of relaxation therapies and action therapies comes true. By technology of RFID-based internet of things, wireless data transmission is obtained. And with MATLAB, the analyses of ECG data at home are attained simply. Results: The system realizes the wearable ECG monitoring. It can promote sufferers’ subjective initiative effectively to make his spontaneous physiologic and mental regulations, and the prevention or healing will be achieved. Conclusion:The wearable ECG monitoring system by technologies of biofeedback and RFID-based internet of things, with strong practicability, can be widely applied.
2.Microanatomy and histological study of the fascicular group to deltoid muscle in axillary nerve at the level of quadrilateral zone

Objective To observe and study the distribution and histological feature of the fascicular groups to deltoid muscle in axillary nerve at the level of quadrilateral zone. Methods 12 adult human cadavers (24 upper limbs)embalmed by formalin were used,, and microsurgical longitudinal contradissection of the axillary nerves by tracing their terminal branches were processed. At the level of quadrilateral zone,distrabution of the fscicular groups to deltoid muscle in the never trunk were recorded and their diameters were measured;Another 6 upper extremities (3 right and 3 left) of fresh-frozen human cadavers were obtained.Axillary nerves and their fascicular groups were exposured, and the segments at the level of qusdrilateral zone gotten, then histological cross section was done, acetycholinesterase (ACHE) stained with the method of Karnovsky Roots and myelin stained with the method of Loyezs. Defferent never fibres were distinguished under microscope and the fiber number was counted with IAS . Results At the level of quadrilateral zone,fasciculars were divided into two groups.The fascicular group of anterior branch to deltoid muscle was in the lateral of the nerve trunk . Its cross sectional area was (2.449?1.327)mm2 ,occupied 55.4%?9.3%of the axillary nerve trunk ;Its most fibers were motor fibers;The number of fibers is (2112?631), occupied 45.6 %?1.1%of all fibers of axillary nerve . Conclusions In the treatment of root avulsion of brachial plexus injury, selective suture donor nerve with the lateral fascicular group should be processed to repair the function of shoulder abduction,fibers loss would be reduced and rate of functional restoration improved .
3.A Comparative Study on the Distribution and Relationship of Cholinergic,SP, VIP-Peptidergic and Nitroergic Nerves in Intestinal Tract of Rats

Objective To study the distribution characteristics and relationship of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) .substance P(SP), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) and nitric oxide synthase ( NOS)-positive neurons in intestinal tract of rats. Methods The distributions of AChE,SP, VIP and NOS-positive neurons in duodenum,jejunum,ileum,colon and rectum of rats were respectively observed by using enzyme histochemical and immunohistochemical methods. Results Four types of positive neurons distributed throughout in each laminae of intestinal tract of rats,and there was accompanying and resemble distribution regularity. From duodenum,jejunum to ileum,four types of positive neurons showed gradual increase tendency in quantity, while from colon to rectum, they showed gradual decrease tendency in quantity. There were extremely abundant AChE-posi-tive neurons in each laminae of intestinal tract of rats,comparatively rich NOS and SP-positive neurons in Auerbach'myenteric plexus(AMP) ,and comparatively rich VIP-ir positive neurons in the Meissner's submucosal plexus(MSP)and mucosa. Density on the distribution of four types of positive neurons was AChE>NOS>VIP>SP. There was coexistence of four types of neurons, and there were synapse-like contacts in four types of neurons in AMP. Conclusion There were significant differences in the density on the distribution of AChE,SP, VIP and NOS-positive neurons in different segments of intestinal tract of rats,and there was close morphological relationship among four types of neurons in AMP. It was deduced that they exerted synergistic effects in regulating motility of the intestine.
4.Inhibitory effect of specific inhibitor of p38 mitogen activated protein kinase on hyper secretion of airway mucus in asthma

Objective To explore the inhibitory effects of SB203580, a specific inhibitor of p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) on hyper secretion of airway mucus in mice with asthma. Methods Forty BABL/C mice were randomly allocated into asthma group, SB203580 treatment group, dexamethasone treatment group and control group (sham-challenged group). Mice in SB203580 treatment group were intraperitoneally injected with SB203580 (10mg/kg), while those in dexamethasone treatment group were injected with dexamethasone (1mg/kg) before provocation. The number of goblet cells in small bronchi of all groups was determined after Alcian blue-periodic acid Schiff (AB-PAS) staining. The contents of MUC5AC in bronchoalveolar lavarge fluid (BALF) were evaluated with ELISA asssy. The levels of MUC5AC mRNA expression were determined with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay, and gray-scale analysis was done with image analysis method. Objective To reconstruct on the basis of histological study the computerized 3D ima ges of the fascicular groups of ulnar nerve,which can be used to guide the microsurg ical repair of injuries of brachial plexus and ulnar nerve and to provide morpholog ical evidence for the functional rec overy of intrinsic muscles of hand after root avulsion of brachial plexus.Methods The successive AchE-staining histo logical cross-sections were made.T he photos of the sections were transformed into digital information and sto red in the computer.Different functional fas-cicular groups were distinguished a nd marked on each section.The topographic database was analyzed by image pro-cessing software,with the support o f OpenGL three dimensional graphic l ibrary.3D images of the fascicular g roups of ulnar nerve were reconstructed usin g the contour-based surface constru ction method in the program written w ith VC language.Results The 3D images of the individual external surface of the reconstructive fa scicular groups were displayed and the human-computer in teraction was realized by performin g the arbitrary rotation and the rand om cross-section.By selecting the int erested object,the spatial structu re of any fascicular group could be di splayed in the same space simultaneously.Compare d with the result of microanatomy,th e 3D shape could truly reflect the str ucture,adjacent relationship and arrangem ent of fascicular groups in the ulnar nerve trunk.Conclusions Since the re-constructive 3D images can truly reflect the arrangement and distribution of the functional fascicular grou ps,they will have positive effects on understanding the internal structure of ulnar nerve,designing operative procedur e and adjusting operative method for surgeons.[
6.Study on the ability and mechanism of goblet cell in airway to synthesize granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor in rat with asthma

Objective To evaluate the ability of goblet cell in the airway in rat with asthma to synthesize granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF),and the role of calcium-activated chloride channel (CLCA) in the synthesis. Methods A model of asthma was replicated in male BALB/c mice with ovalbumin sensitization. The goblet cells in small bronchi were identified with AB-PAS staining,and the expression of GM-CSF in the same airway was assessed with immunohistochemistry staining. The recombinant plasmid of pIRES2-EFGP/hCLCA1 was transfected stably into the human mucoepidermoid cell NCI-H292. The expression and transcription levels of GM-CSF in transfected cells were determined with immunohistochemistry staining and RT-PCR assay. The non-transfected cell and the transfected cell exposed to niflumic acid (NFA),which was a CLCA inhibitor,were designated as two control groups. Results Positive staining of GM-CSF expression could be seen in the goblet cells of small bronchi. The cells with expression of hCLCA1 showed much higher levels of GM-CSF expression and transcription than those of two control groups. It was also found that NFA could effectively reduce the levels of GM-CSF in transfected cells. Conclusion The goblet cell of asthmatic airway can synthesize GM-CSF,and one of mechanisms is the increased expression of CLCA.

Aim The mixture of Chinese herbs,Astragalus & Angelica(A&A) has been found that has antifibrotic effect in rats.Methods To elucidate themechanisms underlying the renoprotective effects of A&A in the process of renal interstitial fibrosis,we investigated the pathology changes of kidneys in unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO) rats.In the study,Wistar rats were randomly divided into CON,Sham,UUO and UUA(UUO+A&A) groups.After administration of A&A(12 g?kg?d~(-1)) for 0,3,7 and 10 d,renal damage including interstitial cell infiltration,tubular atrophy and interstitial fibrosis were quantified on HE and Masson stained tissue sections.The expression of ?-smooth muscle actin(?-SMA),transforming growth factor-?_1(TGF-?_1) and fibronectin(FN) was measured using computer image analysis of immunohistochemistry staining sections,ELISA and Western Blot.Results Renal damage and the expression of ?-SMA,TGF-?_1 and FN were all significantly exacerbated in UUO group compared with those of Sham group(P

Objective To observe the arrangement and distribution of the fascicular groups in the ulnar nerve trunk to the intrinsic muscles so as to provide anatomical evidence for selective repair in the clinic.Methods 12 cadaveric upper extremities recently embalmed with formalin were obtained. The ulnar nerve and its branches were exposed. Microanatomy and longitudinal contradissection of each functional fascicular group were performed by tracing their terminal branches, and the arrangement and distribution were observed and recorded. The fascicular groups to the intrinsic muscles of hand in the nerve trunk were observed to see how they crossed and mixed with other fascicular groups. The diameter of the nerve trunk and the fascicles to the intrinsic muscles were measured, and the area and the distribution range of the fascicles calculated. Results The shape and the diameter of the ulnar nerve trunk varied at different positions. The fibers of functional fascicular groups had the definite differentiation at distal while interfused and diffused at proximal. The fascicular groups to the intrinsic muscles of hand were the largest and their fibers relatively concentrated (the distribution range occupied 40% ~ 80% of the ulnar nerve), and had the definite localization at the forearm and distal to the 3/8 segment of upper arm. Conclusion Since the fascicles to the intrinsic muscles of the hand are the most important in the ulnar nerve, selective repair by using epineural and perineural techniques at the forearm and upper arm will reduce the loss of nerve fibers and will contribute to the functional recovery.
9.Design of monitoring system for ICU based on technology of internet of things

Objective:A remote monitoring system for ICU is designed.Methods: By technology of RFID-based internet of things, data processing software platform is designed. Combined with RFID tags, readers etc., ICU patients are effectively identified and identifying information transmission and computer management are complied. And then a remote monitoring system for ICU is achieved.Results: The system realizes the ICU remote monitoring and effective prevention of nosocomial infections, and meets the families of patients remote access needs; the system can integrate with HIS/CIS seamlessly to enhance the ICU clinical services integrated computerized management further.Conclusion: The remote monitoring system for ICU by technology of RFID-based internet of things, with strong practicability, can be widely applied.
10.Astragulus & Angelica mixture enhances nitric oxide production and reduces angiotensin II in the kidney of UUO rats

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of Astragalus & Angelica (A&A) , the mixture of Chinese herbs, on different vasoconstrictors and vasodilators in the process of renal interstitial fibrosis in rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO).
