Journal of Practical Radiology 2016;32(5):746-748
Objective To investigate the effect of DWI in diagnosing ovarian carcinoma .Methods MRI and DWI were performed in 33 patients with ovarian carcinoma and 23 patients with benign ovarian tumor proved by pathology ,respectively .ADC values of the cystic components and the solid components were respectively measured in ovarian carcinoma and benign ovarian tumor .Results The mean ADC value of solid component in ovarian carcinoma was (1 .68 ± 0 .37)× 10-3 mm2/s ,which was significantly lower than that of solid component in benign tumor [(3 .51 ± 0 .53) × 10-3 mm2/s] .There was no significant statistical difference between ovarian car‐cinoma and benign tumor in ADC value of cystic component [(5 .34 ± 0 .54)× 10-3 mm2/s vs (5 .89 ± 0 .37)× 10-3 mm2/s] .Conclu‐sion DWI is useful for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of ovarian carcinoma quantitatively .

Journal of Practical Radiology 2016;32(8):1202-1204
Objective To evaluate the application of MSCT perfusion imaging (PI)in diagnosing solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN).Methods 60 patients with SPN diagnosed by pathology were divided into two groups.Study group (SG)included 32 patients with lung cancer, and control group (CG)included 28 patients with benign nodules. The patients of two groups underwent 64-slice spiral CT PI and routine contrast-enhanced scan (ES).PI parameters were compared between SG and CG.The diagnosis value of PI was compared with that of ES.Results Compared with CG,SG had markedly higher BV,BF,PS and lower MTT (all P <0.01).Compared with ES, PI was more sensitive in detecting lung cancer and had a higher accuracy in diagnosing SPN (P <0.01).Conclusion MSCT PI plays an important role in diagnosing SPN.

Objective:To investigate the application of the 7E teaching model (i.e., Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, and Extend) combined with standardized patients (SP) in nursing practice teaching for general surgery. Methods:A total of 80 nursing students who were assigned to Department of General Surgery in our hospital were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the order of admission, with 40 students in each group. The students in the control group received traditional teaching, while those in the observation group received the 7E teaching model combined with SP. Theoretical and practical operation scores were assessed for both groups, and the scores of non-technical skills were compared between the two groups. SPSS 22.0 was used to perform the t-test. Results:Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly better scores of theoretical assessment (89.36±2.13 vs. 87.64±2.07, P<0.05) and practical operation (92.07±4.33 vs. 85.19±3.46, P<0.05). The observation group had significantly higher scores of non-technical skills (humanistic care ability, ability to stimulate learning interest, communication ability with patients, depth of the understanding of diseases and nursing ability, knowledge extension ability, team collaboration ability, clinical thinking ability, and clinical decision-making ability) than the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The 7E teaching model combined with SP in nursing practice teaching for general surgery can better enhance the theoretical and practical abilities of nursing interns and help to improve the level of non-technical skills.

Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine 2024;21(4):595-608
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the specific effects of signal transducer and activator of transcription 4 (STAT4)-induced long intergenic nonprotein coding RNA 1278 (LINC01278) on the growth of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells involved in the microRNA (miR)-877-5p/activated transcription factor 4 (ATF4) axis.
METHODS:
NSCLC tumor tissue and adjacent normal tissue were collected. Human normal lung epithelial cell BEAS-2B and human NSCLC cell lines (H1299, H1975, A549, H2228) were collected. The expression levels of STAT4, LINC01278, miR-877-5p, and ATF4 were detected. A549 cells were screened for subsequent experiments. The proliferation ability of cells was detected by colony formation experiment. Cell apoptosis was tested by flow cytometry. Scratch test and transwell assay were used to detect the migration and invasion ability of cells. Biological function of LINC01278 in NSCLC was confirmed by xenograft experiments.
RESULTS:
Low expression miR-877-5p and high expression of STAT4, LINC01278 and ATF4 were detected in NSCLC.Silenced LINC01278 in A549 cell depressed cell proliferation, migration and invasion, but facilitated cell apoptosis.LINC01278 was positively correlated with STAT4 and could directly bind to miR-877-5p. Upregulating miR-877-5p suppressed NSCLC cell progression, while downregulating miR-877-5p had the opposite effect. Upregulating miR-877-5p abrogated the effects of silenced LINC01278 on NSCLC cell progression. MiR-877-5p targeted ATF4. ATF4 upregulation could partly restore the carcinogenic effect of LINC01278 in vitro and in vivo.
CONCLUSION
Our data supports that STAT4-induced upregulation of LINC01278 promotes NSCLC progression by modulating the miR-877-5p/ATF4 axis, suggesting a novel direction for NSCLC treatment.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2023;31(11):794-800
Objective:
To explore the ideal sagittal position of the lower third of the face in high-angle patients with different forehead forms and to provide a reference for clinical treatment.
Methods:
Informed consent and portrait authorization were obtained from all patients, and the study passed the ethical review of the unit. We categorized forehead forms into four types: straight, rounded, type I angular (angled at the middle third of the forehead) and type II angular (angled at the upper third of the forehead). Profiles of high-angle patients with different forehead forms were collected. The initial position was when the facial axis point (FA point) was positioned at the goal anterior-limit line (GALL). After being silhouetted, the lower third of the face was moved forward and backward by 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm each, plus the initial silhouetted picture, to obtain 9 images for each patient. A survey was created with these lateral profile silhouettes, and the silhouette images were ranked by 30 orthodontists and 30 laypersons.
Results:
There were significant differences in profile scores at different movement distances of the lower third of the face among high-angle patients with different forehead shapes (P<0.05). Overall, high-angle patients with straight or type II angular foreheads had higher scores when the lower third of the face did not move. For high-angle patients with a rounded forehead, orthodontists and laypersons gave the highest scores when the lower third of the face was moved backward by 2 mm and 4 mm, respectively. For high-angle patients with a type I angular forehead, orthodontists thought the scores of backward movement of 4 mm were the highest, and laypersons thought the scores of backward movement of 3 mm were the highest. No significant difference was found in scores between orthodontists and laypersons (P>0.05).
Conclusion
The forehead forms and the sagittal position of the lower third of the face will affect the face’s profile aesthetics. Patients with straight and type Ⅱ angular foreheads has the best profile when the FA point is located on the GALL line. For patients with rounded and type Ⅰ angular foreheads, a posterior location of the lower third of the face is more desirable than the initial position.
