BACKGROUND: The gold nanoparticles have a killing effect on tumor cells.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of gold nanochain on Hep-2 cells proliferation of human laryngeal carcinoma.METHODS: The gold nanochain was prepared by a glucose synthesis method and added into the culture cells with different concentrations (10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 95%) to test the influence on proliferation of in vitro cultured Hep-2 cells. The endocytosis and exocytosis of transmembrane when gold nanochain attached to Hep-2 cells were observed by electron microscopy.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The gold chain at high concentrations (75%, 95%) exhibited inhibitory effects on the proliferation of Hep-2 cells, but the influence was not increased with increasing concentration, belonging to a range of non-toxic. Gold nanchain can enter into Hep-2 cells after 8 hours of co-culture and leave cells after 48 hours, indicating gold nanoparticles chain can enter and leave Hep-2 freely.

Objective To investigate the influence of different timing of surgery on patients with poor-grade intracranial aneurysm. Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (Hunt-Hess gradeⅣ toⅤ)were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into an ultra-early treatment group (the operative time within 24 h after onset;n=40),an early treatment group, (24 to 72 h after onset;n=27),and middle and late treatment group (>72 h after onset;n=19)according to the different timing of surgery. The prognosis of patients at 6 months after procedure was evaluated with the modified Rankin Scale (mRS)scores. The differences of the rate of good prognosis (mRS 0 to 2)and mortality in patients of the 3 groups were compared. Results (1 )The ratios of good prognosis in the ultra-early treatment group, early treatment group, and middle and late treatment group were 55. 0%(n=22),33. 3%(n=9),and 21. 1%(n=4),respectively. There were significant differences (P<0. 05). The mortality rate of the ultra-early treatment group (7. 5%)was lower than that of the early treatment group (25. 9%) or middle and late treatment group (42. 1%). There were significant differences (P<0. 05). (2)There were significant differences in the rate of good prognosis in different timing of surgery in patients with gradeⅣ(P<0. 05);there was no significant difference in the rate of good prognosis in patients with grade Ⅴ(P>0. 05). The mortality ratios in patients of the 3 groups were 2/18,4/11,and 6/11,respectively. There were significant differences (P<0. 05). Conclusion Ultra-early operation may benefit part of the patients with poor-grade aneurysm, particularly in patients with gradeⅣ. As for the patients with grade Ⅴ, ultra-early operation may help to reduce short-term mortality rate, however, the rate of vegetative state is high.

Objective To investigate the correlation between expression levels of serum cytokines IL-2,IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-α and IFN-γ in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL) and chemotherapy resistance. Methods 30 cases of DLBCL patients with chemotherapy resistant, 30 cases of DLBCL patients with chemotherapy sensitive and 20 cases of healthy individuals as normal control group were enrolled. The levels of serum cytokines IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-α and IFN-γbefore, during and after treatment in both DLBCL groups and normal control group were detected by ELISA assay. Results The expression level of serum IL-6 and IL-10 before treatment in DLBCL patients with chemotherapy resistance was significantly higher than that in DLBCL patients with chemotherapy sensitive and normal control group (P < 0.05), however, that after treatment in DLBCL patients with chemotherapy resistance was significantly lower than that before treatment (P = 0.02, P = 0.015). The level of serum IL-6 and IL-10 in patients with DLBCL recurrence into drug resistance was higher than that during of remission (P = 0.004, P <0.001). Before treatment, the expression level of serum IL-6 in patients with Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage in chemotherapy resistant group was significantly higher than that in ones with Ⅰ - Ⅱ stage(P <0.05). Levels of IL-2, IL-8, TNF-α and IFN-γin chemotherapy resistant group, chemotherapy sensitive group and the normal control group were no differences (P >0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of the serum IL-6 and IL-10 were closely correlated with the chemotherapy efficacy of DLBCL, they may be involved in drug resistance of DLBCL.

Phage display is a new technology developed in recent years. Random peptides displayed on the filamentous phage surface offer a rich source of molecular diversity in searching for ligands that bind an antibody, receptor and other proteins. The phage display system has been effective in the discovery of various ligands. Potential applications of the peptide library include investigation of the protein protein interactions and discovery of mimetic drug candidates.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the clinical effect of Kirschner wire retractor-assisted reduction and inverted insertion of elastic nail in the treatment of children's irreducible subradial 1/3 fractures.
METHODS:
A total of 34 children with irreducible subradial 1/3 fractures treated by surgery from August 2016 to December 2020 were retrospective analyzed. Among them, 16 cases underwent Kirschner wire retractor-assisted closed reduction and percutaneous elastic intramedullary nailing with inverted insertion(observation group), 10 males and 6 females, aged from 4 to 10 years old with an average of(6.0±0.4)years;18 cases underwent open reduction and plate internal fixation (control group), 11 males and 7 females, the age from 3 to 10 years with an average of(7.0±0.5) years. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, incision length, fracture healing time and complications of the two groups were observed and the wrist function was evaluated by Cooney wrist joint score.
RESULTS:
All patients were followed up for 3-12 years old with an average of (11.40±0.48) months in the observation group and 4-13 months with an average of (11.50±0.39) months in the control group. Bone healing was achieved in all patients, and there was no incision infection in both groups. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay and incision length in observation groups were lower than those of control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the fracture healing time between two groups(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in postoperative healing and recovery of wrist function between groups(P>0.05).
CONCLUSION
Compared with open reduction and plate internal fixation, Kirschner wire retractor-assisted reduction and percutaneous elastic intramedullary nail fixation for irreducible subradial radial 1/3 fractures has the advantages of less trauma, shorter operation time, less blood loss, and satisfactory short-term clinical results.
