1.Development of chronic myeloid leukemia in the 55th ASH annual meeting
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2014;23(1):22-25
In patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic phase who have achieved complete molecular remission on imatinib therapy, whether and when to discontinue the drug become a hot topic. The famous clinical trials of discontinue tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) from France and Australia have demonstrated that long-term monotherapy with TKI is not curative in the majority of patients with CML.This has focused attention on strategies to eradicate residual disease in CML patients, which should result in cure and long-term treatment-free remission and leukemia-free survival. This review provides a brife summary of the 55th ASH annual meeting, focusing on the potential combination therapeutics in the era of TKI.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2015;31(20):1542-1545
Objective The study aimed to evaluate the incidence rate and risk factors of early post-mastectomy pain syndrome (EPMPS) after surgery for breast cancer. Methods A retrospective study was carried out in 231 female patients with breast cancer who appeared EPMPS after surgery in the First Hospital of China Medical University from September 2012 to September 2014.They were followed-up for 3 months. Results Among 231 female patients with breast cancer,41.1% (95/231) suffered from EPMPS.The incidence of EPMPS in women of 40-59 years old was 66.3% (63/95),significantly higher than other age groups,RR=l.83,P<0.05.Those who were submitted to axillary lymph node dissection and those without preservation of intercostobrachial nerve had shown a significantly increased risk of EPMPS compared with those with sentinel lymph node biopsy plus no surgery and preservation of intercostobrachial nerve patients (81 cases vs.14 cases,41 cases vs.18 cases,x2=19.921,P<0.01;x2=11.045,P<0.05).Conclusions The frequency of EPMPS in the middle-age women is high and possible explanations are unclear.Surgery of axilla affects the incidence of EPMPS,reassurance is key to coping with EPMPS in nursing and rehabilitation.
3.Thioridazine-induced learning and memory decline is accompanied by elevation of ?-amyloid in rat brain
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
Aim To explore the molecular mechanism of interrelationship between thioridazine-induced learning and memory decline and the production of ?-amyloid (A?) in the rat brain. Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats were injected intraperitoneally with thioridazine of 10 mg?kg-1?d-1 for 2 weeks in order to suppress cognition by inhibition of dopamine, acetylcholine and 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors. Morris water maze was used to measure spatial learning and memory performance. The A? content of brain was measured by radioimmunoassay. Immunohistochemistry was employed to determine ?-amyloid precursor protein (APP) level. The mRNA levels of APP,?-secretase and ?-secretase in brain were detected by RT-PCR. Results Thioridazine treatment to rats resulted in spatial learning and memory impairment shown by longer escape latency. Total A? was significantly increased by 1.3 times in thioridazine-treated rats. APP-immunoreactivities in cortex and hippocampus of thioridazine-treated rats were more pronounced than those of control rats. Levels of APP751 plus APP770 mRNA,?-secretase mRNA in brain increased nearly 2.5 and 2.6 folds respectively in thioridazine treated-rats, but no differences in mRNA levels of APP695 and ?-secretase were found between thioridazine-treated and control rats. Conclusion The thioridazine-induced cognitive decline is related to the increase of A? caused by elevation of APP751,APP770 and ?-secretase expression.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2015;24(8):483-486
Objective To evaluate the relationship between proportion of PR1 specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) in the peripheral blood and prognosis and curative effect in patients with HLA-A0201 positive chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML),and to discuss whether PR1 peptide could be used as the following immune therapeutic method for patients who had achieved the standard of stop treatment. Methods The soluble HLA-A0201/PR1 tetramer and flow cytometry were applied to determine the proportion and the frequency of PR1 specific CTLs in peripheral blood from 28 HLA-A0201 positive CML patients. The proportions were compared among different phases of patients. The correlations between the proportion of PR1 specific CTLs and clinical parameters were analyzed. Results There was a negative correlation between PR1 specific CTLs and PCR (bcr-abl/abl)Is (r =-0.658,P < 0.001).The frequencies of PR1 specific CTLs at 3-month,6-month,9-month,12-month,2-year,3-year,4-year,5-year,6-year were (0.06±0.02) %,(0.10± 0.02) %,(0.14±0.02) %,(0.16±0.02) %,(0.20±0.03) %,(0.18±0.03) %,(0.18±0.01) %,(0.17±0.05) % and (0.18±0.03) %,respectively. The frequency of PR1 specific CTLs at 3-month,6-month or 9-month was statistically different compared with that of the other time spots (P < 0.05),and there were no statistical differencies among the frequencies at 1-year,2-year,3-year,4-year,5-year,6-year (P > 0.05).For patients treated with IM 400 mg qd,the frequency of PR1 specific CTLs in high-risk group was lower than that in low-risk or intermediate-risk groups. Conclusion PR1 specific CTLs can be detected in patients who achieved good curative effect, and is correlated with tumor burden, which indicates that PR1 specific CTLs may be related to the action of resisting leukemia and provide the evidence for PR1 peptide as a potential immune therapeutic schedule in patients who have achieved stable MR45 and MR50.

Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(06):-
Objective To discuss the application of sperm mobility parameters in semen quality analysis. Methods The semen samples from 2343 outpatient males were examinated following theWorld Health Organization (WHO) guide, and sperm mobility parameters were also evaluated. Results There are significant difference of all sperm mobility parameters between normal and unnormal semen groups. As spermatozoa vialibity reduced, VCL、VSL、VAP、MAD、ALH、STR had decreased and BCF had increased significantly. Compared with the group which spermatozoa density and activity were both normal, LIN、STR had reduced and MAD、BCF had increased in the small quantity sperm group. All parameters were significant difference besides ALH in the lower sperm activity group. And for that in the group which spermatozoa density and activity were both unnormal, only MAD and ALH were no significant difference. Conlusion Sperm mobility parameters may serve as key parameters of semen quality analysis and play an important role in evaluating the ability of male fertility.
