1.Effect of Eliminating Pyrogens with Ultrafiltration on Quality of Chuanshentong Injection
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(05):-
Objective: To study the effect of eliminating pyrogen with ultrafiltration on the quatity of Chuanshentong Injection. Methods: The sample solution was filtered with the ultrafiltration membranes of molecular weight 6000 and 20000. Then, the results of eliminating pyrogens and the examination results of quality of sample solution before and after ultrafiltration were compared. Results: The results of elminating pyrogens is satisfactory. But there are larger changes in many items of quality markers after ultrafiltration. Conclusion: Therefore, the ultrafiltration should be used with caution in eliminating pyrogens of injection of Chinese medicinals.

Modern Hospital 2015;15(5):28-30
Objective To study the effects of hypothermia therapy on inflammation level and safety of patients with severe nervous injury. Methods A total of 82 patients with severe nerve injury were divided into study group and control group by random digits table, 41 patients in each group. The patients in these two groups had no statistical dis-parities in inflammatory agent and intracranial pressure (p>0.05).The patients in the control group were treated by routine therapy and those in the study group were treated by cephalic hypothermia therapy additionally. The two groups were compared in terms of the level of TNFα, IL-6 and IL-8 in the cerebrospinal fluid, prognosis and safety.Re-sults Before treatment there was no significant difference in inflammation level between the two groups (p>0.05). After treatment, the TNFα, IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the study group were significantly lower than those in control group (p<0.01).Before treatment there was no significant difference in ICP between two groups (p>0.05).How-ever, after treatment there was a significant difference in ICP between the two groups in all time points (p<0.01). The GOS score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group. There was no statistical dis-parities in complications between the two groups (p>0.0).Conclusion The hypothermia therapy has a great clini-cal efficacy and safety on severe never injury patients, which makes it worth clinical application.

In patients with a functional gut, enteral nutrition is the preferred route of nutrition support. The favorable effects of enteral nutrition include prevention of mucosal atrophy, maintaining of the integrity of gut flora, and improvement of immunocompetence. The guidlines recommend EN be withheld in patients requiring significant hemodynamic support, because of highdose catecholamine agents which could reduce EN tolerance.Splanchnic perfusion is reduced in sepsis shock, yet vasoactive agents have demonstrated both improved and diminished perfusion.Inadequate perfusion increases the risk of experiencing rare but serious adverse events. This study summarizes the tolerability and safety of enteral nutritionin in critically iH patients with hemodynamic instability and provides theoretical basis for the early administration of EN.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2016;48(5):878-883
Objective:To compare the proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation of dental pulp stem cell (DPSC)isolated from normal and inflamed pulps of different degrees in Beagle immature premolars, and provide evidence for the use of inflammatory DPSC (IDPSC).Methods:This study evaluated 14 Beagle’s young premolars (21 roots). In the experiment group, irreversible pulpitis was induced by pulp exposure and the inflamed pulps were extracted 2 weeks and 6 weeks after the pulp chamber opening. For the control group, normal pulps were extracted immediately after the exposure.HE staining and real-time PCR were performed to confirm the inflammation. The cells were isolated from the inflamed and normal pulps (IDPSC and DPSC).Cell proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation potentials of the two cells were compared. Results:Inflammation cells infiltration was observed in the inflamed pulps by HE stai-ning.The expression of inflammatory factor was much higher in the 6 week inflamed pulp.IDPSC had higher potential of cell proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation potentials.Furthermore, the osteoblas-tic differentiation potentials of IDPSC from 2 week inflamed pulp were higher than those from 6 week in-flamed pulp. Conclusion:The potential of cell proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation of DPSC was enhanced at early stage of irreversible pulpitis, and reduced at late stage in Beagle immature premolars.
7.Effects of rehabilitation training on the expression of S-100,GFAP and Nestin in the cortex of rats with cerebral infarction
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(09):-
Objective To study the effect of rehabil it ation training on the expression of S-100, GFAP and Nestin in the cortex of cer ebrally infarcted rats. Methods Sixty Sprague-Dawle y rats were used. Experimental cerebral infarction was caused in all the rat s. 24 hours after the infarction, all the rats were randomly divided into 3 grou ps: a rehabilitation group, an immobiliaztion group and a control group. The rat s in the rehabilitation group were given balancing, grasping, rotating and walki ng exercises everyday, while those in the immobilization group were immobilized in cages. The rats in the control group was without any treatment. Immunohistoc hemical technique was used to detect the S-100, GFAP and Nestin expression at t he time points of 24 hours, 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks after infarction, respectively. Results S-100, GFAP and Nestin expression were foun d around the infarcted cortex. The response increased as the extension of the su rviving time. The immunohistochemical reaction in rats in the rehabilitation gro up was stronger than that in the immobilization group. Conclusi on Rehabilitation training can activate astrocytes, which could impr ove the internal environment, protect the neurons and promote repairing of neuro n.

Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2008;27(5):511-512
Objective To investigate the status of Kachin-Beck diseage(KBD)in Xi'an and provide a scientific basis for decision-making in controlling the disease. Methods According to original disease data of KBD,children aged 7 to 12 were chosen to receive clinical and X-ray examination according to the KBD monitoring standard stipulated by the government in 6 villages of 3 countries in Xi'an.The local adults were elinically diagnosed and divided into different groups according to the clinical degrees and their ages.Resuhs Among 373 schod children who had clinical examinations,15 early cases were detected, and the detectable rate was 4.02%(15/373);Among 325 school childrenundergoning by X-ray,1 case was detected, and the detectable rate was 0.31%(1/325).In 5630 adults clinically tested,1402 patients were detected, the detectable rate was 24.90%(1402/5630).The patients distributed mainly in the population aged above 36 years old. Conclusions The situation of KBD control is still serious in Xi'an city.KBD monitoring and health education should be carried on.Furdher Tesearch on treatment methods and drug therapy should be performed.
