3.DNA methyctransferase 1 and gynecological malignancies
Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(6):458-460
DNMT1,the main member of the DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) family, plays a core role in maintaining and regulating tumor cell genome-wide and the local area methylation.DNMT1 is highly expressed in gynecological malignancies, which leads to abnormal DNA methylation of genes, especially high methylation of tumor suppressor genes, gene expression silencing, and malignant cell growth.
4.?-Synuclein Aggregation and Parkinson's Disease: Factors Affecting The Aggregation of ?-Synuclein
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(04):-
Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most frequent neurodegenerative disorders. ?-Synuclein was the first"PD gene"to be discovered. The involvement of ?-synuclein in PD was first suspected after two different ?-synuclein mutations were identified in two kindreds with autosomal-dominant PD. However, the discovery that ?-synuclein is the major component of Lewy bodies-pathological hallmarks of PD, confirmed its role in PD pathogenesis. Pathological aggregation of ?-synuclein might be responsible for neurodegeneration. Multiple factors have been shown to affect ?-synuclein aggregation in vitro or in vivo. In addition, soluble oligomers of ?-synuclein might be even more toxic than the insoluble fibrils found in degenerative diseases. So it is significant to investigate factors affecting ?-synuclein aggregation, especially their accurate effects on the aggregation process.
5.Associations of fetal-type posterior cerebral artery with infarction distribution and stroke severity in patients with acute ischemic stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2017;25(4):320-326
ObjectiveTo investigate the associations of fetal-type posterior cerebral artery (FTP) with infarction distribution and stroke severity in patients with acute ischemic stroke.MethodsThe patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled. They were divided into either a FTP group or a non-FTP group according to the results of magnetic resonance imaging. The former group was further divided into complete FTP (cFTP) and partial FTP (pFTP).According to the results of diffusion-weighted imaging, the infarction distribution was divided into the territory of the anterior cerebral artery (ACA), middle cerebral artery (MCA), posterior cerebral artery (PCA), and vertebrobasilar artery.According to the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), the stroke severity was assessed, <8 was defined as mild stroke, and ≥8 was defined as moderate to severe stroke.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to determine the associations of FTP with infarction distribution and stroke severity.ResultsA total of 647 patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled, and 201 (31.1%) had FTP, including 162 (25.0%) cFTP and 39 (6.0%) pFTP.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that cFTP and pFTP were the independent risk factors for MCA infarction (cFTP: odds ratio [OR] 24.714, 95% confidence interval [CI] 10.952-45.766, P<0.001;pFTP: OR 14.526, 95% CI 6.832-25.931, P<0.001), and the independent protective factors for PCA infarction (cFTP: OR 0.214, 95% CI 0.022-0.531, P<0.001;pFTP: OR 0.326, 95% CI 0.018-0.739, P<0.001), they were also the independent risk factor for the severity of acute ischemic stroke (cFTP: OR 22.138, 95% CI 12.492-64.067, P<0.001;cFTP: OR 19.510, 95% CI 8.956-23.514, P<0.001).ConclusionscFTP and pFTP are the independent risk factors for MCA infarction, and the independent protective factors for PCA infarction, and at the same time, they were also the independent risk factors for the moderate to severe stroke.FTP is associated with the infarction distribution and the stroke severity in acute ischemic stroke.
6.Protective Effect of Nimesulide on Experimental Gastric Ulcer in Rats
China Pharmacy 2007;0(25):-
OBJECTIVE: To study the protective effects of nimesulide, a COX- 2 selective inhibitor on experimental gastric ulcer in rats. METHODS: The gastric ulcer model was established in rats by intragastric administration them with indometacin, 5 min later, which were assigned to receive nimesulide at different dosages ( 200, 100, and 50mg? kg- 1) , 6h later, all the rats were sacrificed. The primary outcome measures were the area of ulcer, levels of SOD, MDA, and GSH in sera and gastric mucosa. RESULTS: As compared with model group, in nimesulide ( at different dosage) groups, the area of ulcer was markedly decreased, level of MDA was decreased while activities of SOD and GSH were increased ( P

8.Local Angiogenesis and Neurological Functional Recovery After Cerebral Ischemia
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(10):-
Cerebral ischemia activates endogenous angiogenic factors, and increase microvessel density and form new capillaries in ischemic brain tissues.Exogenous angiogenic factors can more effectively promote angiogenesis and the establishment of collateral circulation in ischemic regions and peripherial tissues, improving local blood supply and reducing infarct size. The further study of the mechanisms and methods in promoting regional angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia will contribute to improve neurologic deficit.
9.Study on Clinical and Immunophenotype of Acute Leukemia in Children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(15):-
Objective To study the clinical significance and characteristic of acute leukemia(AL) immunophenotype expression in children. Methods Immunofluoscence labeled with three and two color monoclonal antibodies directly were used to analyze the surface antigen and cytoplastic antigen.Cytoplastic antigen was detected by flow cytometry additionally. Results Specimens from 85 patients with childhood acute leukemia were detected.1.The undifferentiated phenotype account for 1 case(1.2%);Mixed leukemia 7 cases(8.2%);Acute myeloid leukemia 18 cases(21.2%);Acute lymphoid leukemia 59 cases(69.4%).The subtypes of acute lymphoid leukemia:(B-ALL) 50 cases(84.7%),T-ALL 6 cases(10.2%),T/B 3 cases(5.1%).2.Among 59 cases of acute lymphoid leukemia, there were 31 cases ALL expression myeloid-associated antigen; There was no difference on the clinical and prognosis between the group of myeloid-associated antigen positive and the negative group.3.Of 18 patients with AML,5 patients(27.8%) expressed lymphoid antigen,CD7 was the most commonly expressed(60%);The frequency of CD_(14) expression in childhood M4,M5 was 75%.CD_(13),CD_(33) presented in 83.3% and 94.4% cases of AML,respectively.4.Among 7 cases acute mixed leukemia,B/M 6 cases,TB/M 1 case.Five cases were misdiagnosed as ALL by FAB classification. Conclusions With the multi-color flow cytometry, every acute leukemia patient was diagnosed accurately, especially on acute mixed leukemia and cross-lineage expression leukemia. Those help us choice the best treatment protocol for childhood AL.
