2.Effects of oxytocin on hemodynamics during epidural block
The Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology 2010;26(3):212-214
Objective To investigate the effects of oxytocin on hemodynamies in patients under epidural block. Methods Twenty-six selective myomectomy patients were randomly divided into epidural block group(E) and general anesthesia group(G) with 13 cases each.Epidural anesthesia with 2 % lidocaine was performed with the blocking plane of T_6-T_8.Group G was given general anesthesia with propofol, fentanyl, remifentanyl and vecuroniurn.Oxytocin 5 U was injected in 30 s when hysteromyoma was removed and the hemodynamics was stable.MAP and HR were recorded before and after oxytocin injection. Results Compared to those before,MAP was decreased and HR was increased after oxytocin injection in both groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The decrease of MAP was slower but lasted for a longer period in group E than those in group G(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion Epidural blockade may aggravate the hypotensive effect of oxytocin and inhibit oxytocin-induced HR increasise.

China Medical Equipment 2016;13(8):102-104,105
Objective:To improve the efficient use of assets, prevent and eliminate the waste and loss. Methods: We improved the standards of medical scrapped evaluation and made full use of the residual value of scrapped equipment for the issues that the program and technical appraisal of medical scrapped evaluation were not standardized, the residual value was not accurate and the disposal was too careless, etc. Results: The residual value was useful for the standard and reasonable approval process of scrapped medical equipment. Conclusion: The perfect disposal process of medical equipment ensures that the fixed assets of hospital are complete and security. Making full use of residual value of the scrapped equipment can increase efficiency of the use of hospital assets and eliminate the waste of assets.

BACKGROUND:There are studies on three-dimensional finite element analysis of total knee replacement, but few research concerns contact pressure and contact area inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement. OBJECTIVE:To explore the contact pressure and contact area inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement. METHODS:We established three-dimensional finite element models of fixed platform prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement and compared contact pressure and contact area inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The peak contact pressure inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement was minimum at 0° of genuflex. The peak contact pressure inside polyethylene liner was higher than that outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement at 0°-90° of genuflex (P<0.05). The peak contact pressure inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis was higher than that of rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement at 60°-120° of genuflex (P<0.05). The contact area inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis and rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement was maximum at 0° of genuflex. The contact area inside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis in total knee replacement was lower than that of outside at 0°-30° of genuflex (P<0.05). The contact area inside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis in total knee replacement was lower than that of outside at 0°-90° of genuflex (P<0.05). The contact area inside and outside polyethylene liner of fixed platform prosthesis was lower than that of rotating platform prosthesis in total knee replacement at 30°-120° of genuflex (P<0.05). These results suggested that peak contact pressure inside polyethylene liner of fixed and rotating platform prostheses was higher than that outside in total knee replacement, and the inside contact area was lower than that of outside. Inside and outside contact pressure of the rotating platform prosthesis was lower than that of fixed platform prosthesis. Inside and outside contact area of the rotating platform prosthesis was higher than that of fixed platform prosthesis.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2017;35(5):394-399
Currently, saliva tests have been regarded as a potential promising diagnotic tool because of its noninvasiveness, quickness and simplicity, high accuracy, fullness of biomarkers, and other advantages. It has been applied in clinical diagnosis, treatment evaluation, epidemiological survey and other clinical works, while its potential applications have not yet been fully recognized by Chinese pediatrician. This review presents an overview on the application of salivary diagnostics in pediatrics ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology, immune system diseases, nervous-mental system diseases and other system diseases, and offers a new potential research strategy for accurate diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases.

Military Medical Sciences 2014;(3):189-192,202
Objective To confirm the interaction betweem NLK and Smad 4 and to explore the effect of NLK on the function of Smad4.Methods Co-immunoprecipitation and GST Pull-down were used to detect the interaction between NLK and Smad4.GST Pull-down was used to map the domain through which Smad 4 interacts with NLK.Luciferase reporter gene assay was used to study the effect of NLK and NLK (KM), the NLK mutant lacking kinase activity , on the transcrip-tion activity of Smad4.In vivo phosphorylation assay was used to detect whether NLK phosphorylated Smad 4 or not. Results The data of Co-immunoprecipitation and GST Pull-down showed that NLK interacted with Smad 4 in vivo and in vitro. The result of GST Pull-down showed that Smad4 interacted with NLK via MH2 domain. The results of luciferase reporter gene assay indicated that both NLK and NLK (KM) inhibited the transcription activity of Smad4.The result of in vivo phospho-rylation assay showed that NLK could not phosphorylate Smad 4 in vivo. Conclusion NLK interacts with Smad4 and inhibits the transcription activity of Smad 4 independent of the kinase activity of NLK .The mechanism through which NLK negatively regulates the transcription of Smad 4 requires further research .

Objective To investigate the expression of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2) in rat endocrine and exocrine tissue of pancreas and to compare its expression level with that in other visceral tissues. Methods The expression of ACE2 in rat visceral organs was detected by immunohistochemistry and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results ACE2 was positively expressed in all the test tissues, including pancreas, heart, liver, kidney, lung, spleen, duodenum, ileum and bladder. The expression of ACE2 mRNA was detected in whole pancreas and ACE2 protein was found in both endocrine tissue and exocrine tissue of rat pancreas, while in the endocrine tissue much less ACE2 protein was expressed. The absorbance value of exocrine tissue of rat pancreas increased significantly as compared to that in pancreatic islet. Conclusion Our data demonstrated a tissue specific pattern of ACE2 expression in rat pancreas and this indicated ACE2 might be present in islet of pancreas of human, which might cause the elevation of blood glucose levels in SARS patients. Since ACE2 works as a negative regulator of the angiotensin system, the expression of ACE2 protein in endocrine tissue of pancreas may facilitate the treatment of diabetes.
