International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2014;22(12):921-925
Recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage (RICH) is not rare, its occurrence is associated with the factors of vascular structural lesion, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, hypertension, and related gene mutation. The mortality of RICH is the same as the first primary intracerebral hemorrhage, and the disability rate is significantly higher than primary intracerebral hemorrhage. This article reviews the epidemiology, predilection sites, risk factors, pathogenesis, and prognosis of RICH.

4.Relativity between alexithymia and cognitive function in somatoform disorders
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2014;13(1):60-62
To explore the relativity between alexithymia and cognitive function in somatoform disorder patients.A total of 40 patients aged 18-65 years fulfilling the criteria of ICD-10 for somatoform disorders were recruited as research group. And 40 normal healthy subjects were selected as control group.Toronto alexithymia scale-20 (TAS-20) was employed to examine the alexithymia. And cognitive abilities screening instrument (CASI) was used to measure their cognitive ability. The 9-factor scores and total score of CASI test in patients with somatoforill disorder were significantly lower than those in the normal controls (P < 0.05 or < 0.01).The 3-factor scores and total score of TAS-20 test in patients withsomatoforill disorder were significantly higher than those in the normal controls (P < 0.05 or < 0.01).In research group,CASI scores were negatively correlated with the TAS-20 scores (P <0.05 or 0.01).

Objective To compare the effect of etomidate and propofol on cardiac and renal function in perioperative elderly patients. Methods 120 perioperative elderly patients were selected and divided into two groups.60 cases in etomidate group (T group) were anesthesia induced by etomidate, and 60 cases in propofol group ( B group) were anesthesia induced by propofol.Hemodynamics, renal function and perioperative indexes were compared after operation. Results Compared with before induction, SBP, DBP and HR were lower after induction(P<0.05), and compared with T group at the same time, SBP, DBP and HR of B group were lower( P<0.05).Compared with before induction, SI, CI and EV were lower after induction (P<0.05), and compared with T group at the same time, SI, CI and EV of the B group were lower(P<0.05).Compared with B group, Cr, BUN and β2-MG of T group were lower ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion The effects of etomidate on inhibition of cardiovascular system and damage of renal function is slighter, which has important significance for elderly cancer patients.

To develop a timesaving and easy operating Reverse Phase (RP) chromatography method, we adopted Thermo Pierce RP C18 Tip to separate small amount hippocampus peptide mixtures and to compare with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). According to the separation performance of 4 ACN gradient optimization methods, we determined the best ACN concentration gradient. The results showed that, the experiment took only 10 min by separating with eight ACN concentration gradient, which accounted 1/4 for HPLC. But as for the identified proteins, RP C18 Tip accounted 85.5% for HPLC. ACN gradient of 5%, 15%, 20% and 90% had best repeatability (P = 0.429) and result for separating 30 μg peptides. This method is easy to operate, timesaving and has low cost. It could be used into pretreatment of small amount complex proteomic samples.

Objective To assess whether topiramate prevents body weight gain in patients with olanzapine .Methods The ran‐domized controlled trials(RCTs) about topiramate for prevention of weight gain with olanzapine from 1998 to 2013 were searched in the Cochrane Library ,Pubmed ,EMbase ,WanFang Data ,CNKI and VIP .Two reviewers independently screened the literatures ,ex‐tracted the data ,and evaluated the methodological quality .Then Meta‐analyses were conducted by using RevMan 5 .1 software .Re‐sults The total of 11 RCTs were included .Among the 549 patients were involved .The results of Meta‐analyses showed that the ef‐ficacy of the topiramate group was superior to that of the control group in lessen body mass with significant difference (MD= -3 .68 ,95% CI:-5 .16- -2 .19 ,Z=4 .86 ,P<0 .01) .Conclusion Topiramate addition therapy is effective in attenuating olanzapine‐induced weight gain .

Objective To analyze the clinical value of gastric bacterial cultivation in the early diagnosis of bacterial infection in preterm infants. Methods 174 preterm with risk perinatal factors of infection in NICU of Chang’an Hospital from January 2013 to December 2014 were collected, they were given the gastric juice cultivation checking in 1 hour after birth before eat-ing,watering and giving medicine.According to the clinical symptoms and laboratory test results, they were divided into the infected group and non-infected group.Their Gastric cultivation inspection was compared and analyzed in two groups. Results The positive rate of bacterial culture of gastric fluid was 40.8% (71/174),and located in the top four is Escherichia coli 30.99% (22/71),coagulase-negative staphylococci 21.13%(15/71),Staphylococcus aureus 14.08%(10/71)and group B streptococcus 8.45% (6/71).There was relation between premature infants with bacterial culture positive and meconium stained amniotic fluid, maternal infection during pregnancy, premature rupture of membranes, but not with gestational hyper-tension,fever unrelated to the mother giving birth. Conclusion There was high positive rate of gastric juice bacterial culture with a significant correlation of early onset infection.

Objective To study the mechanism by which a high-intensity pulsed electromagnetic field (HIPEMF) (0.1 Hz,4 T,8 pulses) facilitates the proliferation of neural stem cells by detecting the expression of β-catenin genes and protein. Methods Neural stem cells (NSCs) were isolated from the sub-ventricular zone (SVZ) of neonatal rats and cultured in supplemented,serum-free medium for two weeks. The NSCs were then divided into an experimental group exposed to a HIPEMF for 8 pulses and a control group given sham stimulation. The gene and prorein expression of β-catenin in the NSCs were assayed by RT-PCR and Western blotting on the 1st,3rd,5th and 7th day after the stimulation. Results The NSCs' cloned spheres were round and translucent, and showed red fluorescence after staining with anti-nestin (cy3).The RT-PCR results showed β-catenin genes were highly expressed in the exposed group (significantly more than in the controls). The Western blotting showed that expression of β-catenin protein was also higher in the experimental group, especially at the 7th day after stimulation,a difference which was also statistically significant Conclusion HIPEMF at 0.1 Hz,4 T,in 8 pulse trains can promote NSC proliferation, perhaps through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways.
