1.COLLAGEN AND GROUND SUBSTANCE IN THE PROCESS OF FRACTURE HEALING (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY)
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1953;0(01):-
Histologic and histochemical studies were made upon the collagen and ground substance of the callus and diaphyseal bone at the fracture site in the tibia of rabbits. The main findings were as follows: 1. It was found that the acid mucopolysaccharides were most abundant in the cartilagenous callus, moderate in the newly formed bone trabeculae (fiber bone) and very scanty in the diaphyseal bone and the compact bone after remodelling of the fiber bone, being found only in the wall of lacunae, around the Haversian canals and at the cement lines. 2. In the ground substance of newly formed bone callus and cartilagenous callus, a PAS positive substance was found. The PAS reaction did not run parallelly with the positive reactions for acid mucopolysaccharides in these calluses. It was assumed that there was another mucopolysaccharide present, probably a neutral mucopolysaccharide. 3. During the process of remodelling of fiber bone callus into compact bone, the collagen, acid mucopolysaccharides and PAS positive substance were closely bound together, as evidenced by the disappearance of the positive staining reactions previously found in these components. 4. The matrix of the necrotic ends of the bone fragments and pieces of necrotic bone between the fracture ends were often enveloped and actually invaded by the newly formed bone. Beside osteoclastic activity, this may be a was one way of removal of the necrotic bone. The mechanism needs further clarification.
2.Path analysis of resilience and anxiety, depression on quality of life among esophageal carcinoma patients undergoing radiotherapy and (or) chemotherapy
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(16):1201-1205
Objective To explore the impact of resilience and anxiety, depression on quality of life (QOL) among esophageal carcinoma patients undergoing radiotherapy and (or) chemotherapy. Methods A total of 125 patients were recruited into our study. Date were collected by European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer, Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) , Resilience Scale (RS) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) version 7.0 software was used to conduct the path analysis. Results The total score of patients′ QOL, RS and HADS were(51.98±19.42)points,(56.32±17.09)points,(14.59±7.04)points. Pearson′s analysis showed that QOL was correlated with RS and HADS ( r =0.423-0.588,P<0.05). RS was negatively correlated with HADS (path coefficient was-0.76 and-0.37) and HADS negatively correlated with QOL (path coefficient was-0.56 and-0.79). RS as a protective factor indirectly influenced QOL via HADS and the paths′ total coefficients was 0.69. Conclusions The level of QOL and RS were at poor level for esophageal carcinoma patients, as well as participants experienced anxiety and depression. HADS as intermediary variable has a greater moderating effect on relationships between RS and QOL. RS is a indirect protective factor of QOL. Interventions developed on the basis of influencing factors of QOL should be applied to improve patients′integral health status.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(2):145-148
Objective To investigate the effect of Zusanli(ST36) moxibustion on facial infrared thermal images in infantile spasm patients and provide a clinical basis for rehabilitation treatment of infantile spasm.Method Fifteen infantile spasm patients were enrolled. Ten healthy children constituted a normal control group. Facial infrared thermal images were observed in the infantile spasm patients. An auto-control study was also conducted in the infantile spasm patients. The infrared thermal images before and after 15 minutes of a rest state were used as a blank group and those before and after 15 minutes of moxibustion, as a treatment group. Facial infrared thermal images were produce using anATIR-M301 medical far-infrared thermograph. Changes in temperature in facial regions were observed in the control and treatment groups. A statistical analysis was carried out.Result Facial infrared thermal images showed that bilateral temperatures were evenly and symmetrically distributed in the normal group and asymmetrically distributed, with the right side temperature lower than the left side, in the spasm group of patients. There were statistically significant differences in the forehead and inner canthus(P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the facial thermal image (temperature) between before and after 15 minutes in the blank group (P>0.05). In the treatment group, facial thermal images tended to be symmetrical after 15 minutes of moxibustion and had a statistically significant difference between before and after the moxibustion (P<0.05).Conclusion Zusanli moxibustion can improve facial blood circulation in infantile spasm patients.
4.Clinical observation of acute promyelocytic leukemia remission induction and sequential treatment programs
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2013;22(9):545-547
Objective To observe efficacy of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) by chemotherapy induction and treatment programs after remission. Methods 28 cases of newly diagnosed APL were treated with combined arsenic trioxide and retinoic acid which was called induced program, the patients whose leukocytes >10×109/L would be given anthracycline chemotherapy (DNR 40 mg × 3 d).Remission induction anthracycline chemotherapy was given after three courses of intensive therapy, the standard-dose cytarabine was used to the patients with high white blood. After the intensive treatment and with the recorery of the patient' s blood, bone marrow sequential therapy was used [arsenic trioxide (As2O3),retinoic acid (ATRA),6-MP + MTX and chemotherapy],during which recurrence rate and adverse reactions in the patient' s course of treatment were observed. Results Except 1 was died of intracranial hemorrhage at the beginning of treatment, the remaining 27 patients had received hematologic remission with PML/RARα fusion gene negative.Fusion gene of 5 patients remained negative even after maintenance treatment 2 years later. Conclusion As2O3,ATRA combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of APL is effective, the hematologic response time may be shortened, and sequential therapy can significantly reduce the relapse rate and hospitalization time, patient compliance is increased and the quality of life in patients is improved.

Objective To detect the effects of plasmin combined with hyaluronidase or hexafluoride SF6 on inducing posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). Methods Eighteen young pigmented rabbits were randomly divided into group A, B, and C with 6 rabbits in each. All of the right eyes were the experimental eyes and the left ones was the control. The right eyes in group A, B, and C were injected with plasmin 1 U, plasmin 1 U and hyaluronidase 20 U, and plasmin 1 U and SF_6 0.5 ml, respectively; while all of the left eyes underwent intra-vitreous injection with balanced salt solution 0.1 ml. The eyes were observed by indirect ophthalmoscopy, slit lamp examination, biomicroscopy, B-ultrasonography, and electroretinography (ERG) before and after injection respectively. At last, the retinal sections were examined by light microscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Results The results of scanning microscopy showed incomplete PVD in 2 (33.3%) experimental eyes in group A, and complete PVD in 4 (66.7%) experimental eyes in both group B and C, and the positive rate of PVD in both group B and C significantly differed from that in group A (P0.05). The results of transmission electron microscopy and light microscopy indicated unchanged retinal structure. Conclusions Compared with the application of only plasmin, plasmin combined with hyaluronidase or hexafluoride SF_6 can induce complete PVD more efficiently and do no harm to the retina.

AIM: To investigate the potential role of angiopoietin-2 in the rats model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI). METHODS: Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups(n=10): control group; in LPS groups, rats were divided into three subgroups, treated with different dosage of LPS (2 mg/kg, 4 mg/kg and 8 mg/kg). ALI model was established by intravenous injection with LPS, while control group was with NS. The lung histopathology change was observed by HE stain. Western blot was used to measure the expression of Ang-2 in serum. RESULTS: Histologically, alveolar edema, hemorhag, and massive inflammatory cell, infiltration were observed in LPS groups, but not in control group. The pathological score in LPS groups were significantly higher than that in NS group. Compared with 2 mg/kg LPS group, the pathological score in 4 mg/kg LPS group was significantly higher. While the pathological score in 8 mg/kg LPS group was higher than those in other LPS groups. The expression of Ang-2 protein in plasma was significantly higher in LPS groups, but weak in control group. Compared with 2 mg/kg LPS group, the expression of Ang-2 protein in 4 mg/kg LPS group was significantly higher. While the expression of Ang-2 protein in 8 mg/kg LPS group was higher than those in other LPS groups. The expression of Ang-2 protein in plasma were significantly positively correlated with the pathological score (r=0.862, P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Ang-2 could participate the pathological course in the rats model of LPS-induced acute lung injury. The expression of Ang-2 protein in serum was significantly positively correlated with the extent lung injury.
