To collect the literatures which are the treatments of sjogren's syndrome with pulmonary fibrosis by traditional Chinese medicine. It is including the etiology and pathogenesis, specific prescription and medication, clinical proved recipe, single herb and experimental research to summarize the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of sjogren's syndrome with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis. After reviewing Literatures, the Chinese medicine to the sjogren's syndrome with pulmonary fibrosis has a vast developing prospect and deserves further study.
2.Significance of establishing a corpus of English translation for the TCM health preservation

To investigate the necessity and feasibility of corpus, we have explored the domestic and international researchs of the data sources and corpora and translation of TCM terms. We also predicted the prospect of application of this corpus.
3.Arabinose-controlled expression of htrA in Shigella flexneri through suicide plasmid-mediated homologous recombination

Objective To achieve arabinose-controlled expression of HtrA strain and detect the expression of HtrA protein.Methods Arabinose promoter with htrA100 was amplified from pACD-htrA vector by PCR and cloned into pGP704 vector.Then, Shigella flexneri 2a strain 301 was transferred with the recombinant plasmid pGD-htrA and an AraC-expression vector .The expressions of HtrA in whole-cell and periplasmic space were detected by Western blotting .Results The suicide plasmid-mediated homologous recombinant vector and the inducible HtrA expression strain were successfully constructed.Without arabinose,HtrA protein was hardly detected ,but in the presense of arabinose , HtrA protein could be detected in whole-cell lysate and in periplasmic space lysate by Western blot .Conclusion Homologous recombination using suicide plasmid can significantly knock down the expression of HtrA protein .After being induced with arabinose , HtrA protein can be expressed normally .
4.A novel CD36 mutation T538C (Trp180Arg) results in CD36 deficiency and establishment of a genotyping method for the novel mutation based on sequence-specific primer PCR.

OBJECTIVETo explore the molecular basis for a CD36 deficiency individual and distribution of CD36 gene mutation in Guangxi population.
METHODSA female individual was studied. CD36 phenotype was detected by monoclonal antibody immobilization of platelet antigens assay (MAIPA) and flow cytometry (FCM). The coding regions of the CD36 gene were sequenced. A DNA-based polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primer (PCR-SSP) assay was used to verify the identified mutation. Cell lines expressing the mutant and wild-type CD36[CD36(MT) and CD36(WT)] were established, with the expression of CD36 determined by Western blotting. The distribution of CD36 gene mutation was investigated among 1010 unrelated individuals with the PCR-SSP assay.
RESULTSBoth MAIPA and FCM assays showed that the patient had type II CD36 deficiency. DNA sequencing showed that she has carried a heterozygous mutation T538C (Trp180Arg) in the exon 6 of CD36. Sequencing of cDNA clone confirmed that there was a nucleotide substitution at position 538 (538T>C). Western blotting also confirmed that the CD36 did not express on the CD36(MT) cell line that expressed the 538C mutant, but did express on the CD36(WT) cell line. The novel CD36 mutation T538C was further verified with 100% concordance of genotyping results by DNA-based PCR-SSP assay and 1010 unrelated individuals. No CD36 538C allele was detected among the 1010 individuals.
CONCLUSIONThis study has identified a novel CD36 mutation T538C(Trp180Arg)(GenBank: HM217022.1), and established a genotyping method for the novel sequence-specific primer PCR. The novel mutation is rare in Guangxi and can cause type II CD36 deficiency.

5.Hierarchical Biomechanical Properties and Constitutive Relationships of Bone Tissues

As the main organ of the body, the load-bearing ability of bone is closely connected to its biomechanical properties. Bone is a complex hierarchical biomaterial, whose biomechanical properties are determined by its own structure and biological characteristics. Because of its mechanical adaptability, bone tissues represent different biomechanical properties under different mechanical loading. To quantify the complicated properties of bone and provide an accurate theoretical basis for clinical research, it is necessary to give insight into the biomechanical properties of bone at different levels and the constitutive relationships of bone tissues. In this review, relative researches on constitutive relationships in recent years were summarized based on its hierarchical biomechanical properties.
6.Advances in research on shift work associated circadian rhythm disruption and obesity

Circadian rhythm disruption is a universal phenomenon that is associated with a combination of internal and external factors, with internal factors referring to disturbances in the intrinsic regulatory mechanisms of sleep-wake behavior, and external factors including changes in sleep habits, severe sleep deprivation, shift work, social jet lag, prolonged exposure to nighttime light, and late nighttime eating. Shift work, as a common occupational factor, can lead to disruption of the central/ peripheral biological clock which regulates the expression of almost the entire genome, and the disruption of the biological clock can lead to genetic variants, hormonal secretion abnormalities, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and systemic inflammation, which are risk factors for obesity. In the context of rapid advancement of global economy and industrialization, the prevalence of simple obesity in the traditional cognitive category is increasing in a linear trend, while the incidence of abdominal obesity, which is closely related to metabolic disorders, is also showing an increasing trend. In recent years, the mechanism of circadian rhythm disorder and obesity associated with shift work has attracted much attention, and this article summarized the latest research progress, aiming to provide a basis for the prevention and treatment of obesity caused by circadian rhythm disruption due to shift work.
7.Development of Strain Loading Device for Adherent Cells in vitro

Objective To design a novel strain loading device for studying the mechanical biology of adherent cells. Methods Based on the technology of substrate deformation loading, the device adopted controllable stepper to cause deformation of the silastic chamber, so as to realize cell loading with multiple units and large strain. The device was developed to test its loading functions. The three-dimensional (3D) models of the silastic chamber were established to simulate the loaded chamber by the finite element technology, and uniformity of the strain field was analyzed. The device applied 5% strain to bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) with 0.5 Hz stretch frequency at 2 hours per day for 5 days, and an inverted phase contrast microscope was used to observe the morphology of BMSCs. Results The developed strain loading device for adherent cells in vitro could provide mechanical unidirectional strain up to 50% with three groups of cell loading substrates; within the 10% stain range, the area of uniform strain filed on the silastic chamber remained above 50%, which ensured that the cells were loaded evenly; the morphology of BMSCs was obviously altered, and the direction of arrangement tended to be perpendicular to the loading direction of principal strain. Conclusions The device shows the advantages of reliable operation, wide strain range, adjustable frequency and convenient operation. It can be used to load multiple cell culture substrates at the same time, which provides convenient conditions for the study of cell mechanobiology.

The vagina contains at least a billion microbial cells,dominated by lactobacilli.Here we perform metagenomic shotgun sequencing on cervical and fecal samples from a cohort of 516 Chinese women of reproductive age,as well as cervical,fecal,and salivary samples from a second cohort of 632 women.Factors such as pregnancy history,delivery history,cesarean section,and breastfeeding were all more important than menstrual cycle in shaping the microbiome,and such information would be necessary before trying to interpret differences between vagino-cervical micro-biome data.Greater proportion of Bifidobacterium breve was seen with older age at sexual debut.The relative abundance of lactobacilli especially Lactobacillus crispatus was negatively associated with pregnancy history.Potential markers for lack of menstrual regularity,heavy flow,dysmenor-rhea,and contraceptives were also identified.Lactobacilli were rare during breastfeeding or post-menopause.Other features such as mood fluctuations and facial speckles could potentially be predicted from the vagino-cervical microbiome.Gut and salivary microbiomes,plasma vitamins,metals,amino acids,and hormones showed associations with the vagino-cervical microbiome.Our results offer an unprecedented glimpse into the microbiota of the female reproductive tract and call for international collaborations to better understand its long-term health impact other than in the settings of infection or pre-term birth.
