Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(31):4955-4959
BACKGROUND:Pedicle screw implantation is a common method to repair various spinal diseases, but there is a big difficulty in the safety and accuracy of screw placement. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of spinal pedicle screw implantation in the implementation of image guidance. METHODS:A retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of 118 cases of pedicle screw implantation in the Luohe Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2010 to December 2013. They received internal fixation with pedicle screws. They were equaly divided into two groups according to guidance method. Observation group underwent three-dimensional imaging of spinal navigation. Control group received conventional X-ray fluoroscopy. Screw placement and repair-related indexes were observed in the two groups. After implantation, they were folowed up for 1-12 months. Postoperative complications were compared in both groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: 59 patients in the observation group were implanted with 325 screws, and 59 patients in the control group were implanted with 319 screws. In the observation group, the excelent and good rate was 95% (319 screws). In the control group, the excelent and good rate was 78% (250 screws). There were significant differences in the excelent and good rate between the two groups (P < 0.05). The time required in screw placement was significantly shorter in the observation group than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Operation time and the intraoperative bleeding were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence rate of postoperative complications was lower in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05). These data suggest that under the guidance of three-dimensional imaging of spinal navigation, spine pedicle screw fixation can effectively shorten the time required for screw placement, improve the accuracy of implantation, and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.

Electric and electronic products are required to pass through the certification on electrical safety performance before entering into the market in order to reduce electrical shock and electrical fire so as to protect the safety of people and property. The leakage current is the most important factor in testing the electrical safety performance and the test theory is based on the perception current effect and threshold. The traditional method testing the current threshold for perception only depends on the sensing of the human body and is affected by psychological factors. Some authors filter the effect of subjective sensation by using physiological and psychological statistical algorithm in recent years and the reliability and consistency of the experiment data are improved. We established an experiment system of testing the human hody's current threshold for perception based on EEG feature analysis, and obtained 967 groups of data. We used wavelet packet analysis to detect a wave from EEG, and used FFT to do spectral analysis on alpha wave before and after the current flew through the human body. The study has shown that about 97.72% alpha wave energy changes significantly when electrical stimulation occurs. It is well proved that when the EEG feature identification is applied to test the human body current threshold for perception, and meanwhile alpha wave energy change and human body sensing are used together to confirm if the current flowing through the human body reaches the perception threshold, the measurement of the human body current threshold for perception could be carried out objectively and accurately.

Objective To evaluate the expression of the GLUT-1 glucose transporter in borderline and malignant epithelial neoplasms of the ovary. Methods Histologic sections of tumor tissues from 100 epithelial neoplasms of the ovary were stained for GLUT-1 using polyclonal GLUT-1 antibody and the labeled streptavidin procedure. Chi-square analysis was used to assess if their expression was associated with clinicopathoiogic characteristics of the tumors. Results Normal ovarian surface epithelial cell were either negative or weakly positive. The intensity of the stain was significantly stronger in malignant than borderline tumors (P<0.001). In malignant neoplasms, the intensity of the stain for GLUT-1 increased with histology. Conclusion Overexpression of the GLUT-1 transporter is associated with the histology and grade of the minors. These data suggest that the expression of this transporter may be closely related to the malignant transformation of epithelial ovarian tumors.

Objective To explore the difference in pain threshold between related acupoints and the specificity of acupoints in cholecystitis patients.Method Actual measurement was made in 80cases, a normal group of 30 cases (volunteers without psychological and physiological diseases) and a patient group of 50 cases (volunteers with cholecystitis). The probe of an algometer was perpendicularly placed on the selected acupoint, the pressure point was pushed and pressing was stopped immediately after the subject felt pain. The pain thresholds displayed by the measured acupoints were recorded. The pain thresholds of the selected acupoints were compared between the normal and patient groups and thedifferences were analyzed to explore the specificity of acupoints.Result A comparison of the pain thresholds of the Back-Shu points of the Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang between the patient and normal groups showed that there were no significant differences in the thresholds of the left Back-Shu points Geshu (BL17), Ganshu (BL18), Danshu (BL19), Pishu (BL20), Weishu (BL21) and Dachangshu (BL25) of the bladder meridian between the two groups (P>0.05) and there were significant differences in the thresholds of the right Back-Shu points Geshu, Ganshu, Danshu, Pishu, Weishu and Dachangshu of the bladder meridian between the two groups (P<0.01). The pain threshold was significantly lower in thepatient group than in the normal group. A comparison of the pain thresholds of the main points of the Liver Meridian of Foot-Jueyin, the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang and the stomach meridian between thepatient and normal groups showed that there were significant differences in the thresholds of the right points Liangmen (ST21), Riyue (GB24) and Qimen (LR14) of the liver, gallbladder and stomach meridians (P<0.01) and no significant difference in the threshold of the right point Taichong (LR3) between the two groups (P>0.05). The pain thresholdwas significantly lower in thepatient group than in the normal group. There were no significant differences in thethresholds of the left points Liangmen, Riyue, Qimen and Taichong of the Liver Meridian of Foot-Jueyin, the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang and the stomach meridian between the patient and normal groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The pain sensitivity of ipsilaterali related acupoints increase and the relative specificity of acupoints exist in cholecystitis patients.

Objective To study the expression levels of SCCA1 and SCCA2 mRNA in tissues of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. To investigate the role of this gene in the clinical diagnosis, evaluation of treatment and observation of prognosis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Quantitative real-time RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of SCCA1 and SCCA2 mRNA in tissues of 60 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and those of 30 cases of normal cervical tissues. Results The expression level of SCCA2 mRNA in tissues of 30 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma was higher than in those of 15 cases of normal cervical tissues (4.405 ± 2.310, 9.088 ± 2.195) (t =-6.513, P <0.001), while the expression level of SCCA 1 mRNA did not significantly differ between normal and malignant tissues (P >0.05). The expression of SCCA2 mRNA was relevant to FIGO stages and there was a tendency for this gene to increase with the stage getting worse (F =8.313, P <0.05). Moreover, the overexpression of SCCA2 mRNA was significantly correlated with lymph node metastases (t =2.853, P <0.05). The expression of SCCA2 mRNA was not correlated with age and pathological grading (P >0.05). However, the expression of SCCA1 mRNA was not correlated with age,FIGO stages, lymph node metastases and histological grade (P >0.05). Conclusion The expression of SCCA2 mRNA may provide help for more accurate diagnosis on the clinical stages and lymph node metastases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma.

Myeloid derived suppressor cells(MDSCs) are a subpopulation of immunosuppressive innate immune cells derived from bone marrow stem cells, which negatively regulate immune response in tumor progression.MDSCs have a powerful suppressive function and significant heterogeneity. They can modulate innate and adaptive immune responses through a variety of mechanisms to promote the development of tumor, and also facilitate angiogenesis and metastasis of tumor via non immunologic mechanisms. In recent years,as increasingly mature research for the differentiation, proliferation and suppressive function of MDSCs,the derived researches of MDSC-targeted tumor immunotherapy will finally contribute to increasing the efficiency of vaccine and tumor therapy in the future.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(07):-
Aim To investigate the effects of antioxidant probucol on vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs) apoptosis induced by H2O2.Methods H2O2 (1 mmol?L-1) was used to induce VSMCs apoptosis. The VSMCs were treated with probucol(100,10,1 ?mol?L-1) for 6 hours. For the evaluation of apoptosis,Annexin V-FITC staining,Hoechest33258 staining and the TUNEL assay were used. The expressions of ASK-1 and Trx-1 were detected by Western blot analysis. Results H2O2 could promote the apoptosis of VSMCs,increase the expression of ASK-1 and decrease the expression of Trx-1.Probucol could attenuate the apoptosis induced by H2O2 in a dose-dependent,down-regulate ASK-1 expression and increase Trx-1 expression. Conclusion Probucol can antagonize the apoptosis of VSMCs induced by H2O2.The mechanism may be correlated with a decreased expression of ASK-1 and an increased expression of Trx-1.
