AIM: To optimize the best technique of making Semen Euphorbiae into frost-like powder. METHODS: Machine was developed equipped with temperature and pressure control. Pretreatment of Semen Euphorbiae, heating temperature and time were selected as factors,fat oil content,euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte as main levels,to evaluate the processing. RESULTS: The experiment showed that seeds of Semen Euphorbia were directly broken into powder and heated at 55 ?C for 30 min. The oil productivity ranged from 51% to 53% . CONCLUSION: The heating temperature has an influence on fat oil and laxative constitutents' content, whereas pretreatment of seed and heating time lack the relationship to.

Objective To analyze the antimicrobial resistance profile and homology of the Acinetobacter baumannii strains isolated from Rushan People's Hospital in a three-year period for better control of hospital infections.Methods A.baumannii strains were isolated from clinical specimens during the period from 2013 to 2015.Homology analysis were conducted by pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) for 60 randomly selected isolates.Results A total of 567 A.baumannii isolates were isolated,85 isolates in 2013,156 in 2014,and 326 in 2015.These isolates were mainly from Department of Respiratory Diseases (47.4％) and ICU (23.8 ％).Overall,62.1％ of the isolates were from sputum specimens followed by secretions (15.2％).All isolates were sensitive to polymyxin B,but all resistant to sulfamethoxazole and ampicillin.The A.baumannii isolates showed increasing resistance rate to imipenem,meropenem,ceftriaxone,and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole over the 3-year period,but decreasing resistance rate to gentamicin.The 60 selected isolates were grouped into 4 types by PFGE.A-type was the main pattern.Conclusions A.baumannii strains were mainly isolated from inpatients with respiratory tract infections.The A.baumannii strains showed serious antimicrobial resistance associated with possible clonal spread in this hospital.

Objective: To establish a method for the content determination of tannin in Nodus Nelumbinis Rhizomatis. Methods: The content of tannin in Nodus Nelumbinis Rhizomatis was detected by molybdophosphate colorimetric method. Results: The content of tannin in Nodus Nelumbinis Rhizomatis from different drugstores varied from 0.2537% to 1.637%. Conclusion: This method was simple, accurate and can be used for the quality control of Nodus Nelumbinis Rhizomatis.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the intensity modulated radiotherapy in early stage cervical cancer with vaginal stump recurrence after surgery.Methods A retrospective concurrent comparative study included 60 patients with vaginal recurrence after surgery in early stage cervical cancer.30 cases of the experimental group were treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT),and 30 cases of the control group were treated with conventional radiotherapy.The efficacy and complications between two groups were compared after 3 treatment cycles.Results Of 30 patients in experimental group,22 patients achieved complete remission,7 had partial and 1 progressed.But in the control group,14 had complete remission,5 reached partial remission,7 were stable and 4 progressed.The effective rates were 96.67 ％ (29/30) and 63.33 ％ (19/30),respectively,in the experimental and control group,which showed statistical significance (P =0.009).In the experimental group,there were 1 case with grade 1 radiation cystitis and 1 case with grade 1 radiation proctitis.In the control group,there were 3 cases of vaginal-rectal fistula,1 case of grade 3 radiation proctitis,2 cases of grade 2 radiation cystitis and 2 cases of grade 1 radiation proctitis.Conclusions IMRT for treating vaginal recurrence of early cervical cancer achieves satisfactory short-term effect.In comparison with conventional radiotherapy,IMRT has higher efficacy but less side effects.

AIM:To determine the contents of euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte in Semen Euphorbiae and Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratun from different habitats.METHODS:A kromasil C_(18) column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)was used with methanol-water(68:32)as the mobile phase and UV detection was at 280 nm.RESULTS:The linear ranges of euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte were from 0.200 μg to 1.200 μg and 0.206 μg to 1.651 μg(r = 0.999 7,r = 0.999 9).The contents of euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte in Semen Euphorbiae from different habitats ranged from 0.450 8% to 0.625 1 % and 0.692 3% to 0.752 9%.The contents of two kinds of compositions in Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratun ranged from 0.156 8% to 0.221 1% and 0.232 2% to 0.283 0%.CONCLUSION:The method for quantitating euphorbiasteroid and lathyrol diadetate benzozte in Semen Euphorbiae is accurate and reliable,and can be used to control the quality of toxicity Semen Euphorbiae and Semen Euphorbiae Pulveratun.

Objective To explore the change of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ regulatory T (Treg) cells during aging and the relation with lung tumor. Methods The Lewis lung cancer model was set up in C57BL/6 female mice, and the 36 mice were divided into young health group, middle-aged health group, elderly health group, young tumor group, middle-aged tumor group and elderly tumor group. The percentages of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ Treg in CD4+ T cells in mice spleen cells were measured by flow cytometry, for reflecting the quantity of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ Treg cells. And the level of Foxp3 mRNA in splenocyte was tested by real-time PCR method. Results The level of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+/CD4+ T cells and the quantity of Foxp3 mRNA were higher in tumor groups than in healthy groups(both P＜0.05 ). Besides, in the healthy groups, there were statistical differences in the level of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+/CD4+ T cells (F=47.70, P=0.000) and the quantity of Foxp3 mRNA among the different months groups. Accumulation of the CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ Treg cells was accompanied with aging, the elderly mice contained a significantly larger population of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ Treg cells in their spleen when compared with the younger counterparts, and the highest was the elderly tumor group. So it was with the functional gene Foxp3 mRNA (F=6.56, P=0.009). Conclusions The results suggest a close relationship of the change of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+Treg cells with aging and the genesis and development of lung tumor.

Sixty-two patients with type 2 diabetes were treated with acarbose combined intensive insulin therapy( combined intensive group)or intensive insulin therapy alone (simple intensive group).As the blood glucose control reached the target,the mean amplitude of glycaemic excursion (MAGE),the absolute difference between the mean of daily differences ( MODD ),and standard deviation of blood glucose (SDBG) in combined intensive group were lower than those in simple intensive group [ ( 3.76 ± 1.47 vs 6.52 ± 1.57 ) mmol/L,( 0.57 ±0.49 vs 1.10 ±0.69 )mmol/L,( 1.44±0.60 vs 2.42±0.92 ) mmol/L,all P＜0.01 ].Daily mean blood glucose (MBG) of the former group was better than that of the latter group [ (7.08±0.69 vs 8.27 ± 1.31 ) mmol/L,P＜0.01 ].By the end of treatment,HbA1c [ 6.77％ ± 0.57％ vs 7.21％ ±0.83％,P＜0.05 ],incidence of hypoglycemia( 29％ vs 48％,P＜0.01 ),and body mass index[ (24.14±2.7 vs 27.63±3.41 ) kg/m2,P＜0.01 ] in combined intensive group were statistically improved more than those in the simple intensive group.

Objective To dynamically monitor the base excess(BE) in traumatic brain injury(TBI) patients within 3 d after admission,and to assess the impact of the early BE on prognosis.Methods Blood BE was monitored for 3 d in 56 TBI patients.Patients were classified into mild group(15 patients),moderate group (22 patients) and severe group (19 patients) according to the scores of Glasgow coma scale(GCS).Patients were classified into survival group(42 patients) and dead group(14 patients) according to prognosis.Patients were classified into high BE group (35 patients,BE≥-8 mmol/L) and low BE group (21 patients,BE ＜-8 mmol/L).The relations among BE,degree of injury and prognosis were analyzed.Results The level of BE in mild group,moderate group and severe group was increased after treatment for 1,2,3 d than that before treatment.The level of BE was consistent with the degree of injury [mild group:(-3.02 ± 0.21)mmol/L; moderate group:(-8.49 ± 1.44) mmol/L;severe group:(-9.64 ± 1.19) mmol/L].The level of BE in mild group and severe group had significant difference than that in moderate group (P＜ 0.01).The level of BE in dead group before treatment and after treatment for 1,2,3 d was significantly lower than that in survival group [(-11.97 ±2.13) mmol/L vs.(-6.29 ± 1.16) mmol/L,(-9.84 ± 1.33) mmol/L vs.(-4.89 ± 1.78)mmol/L,(-8.78 ± 2.01) mmol/L vs.(-3.61 ± 1.43) mmol/L,(-7.84 ± 1.42) mmol/L vs.(-3.10 ±0.98)mmol/L] (P ＜0.01).The scores of APACHE Ⅱ before treatment and fatality rate in low BE group were significantly higher than those in high BE group [(24.84 ± 3.68) scores vs.(16.27 ± 2.21) scores,52.4％ (11/21) vs.8.6％(3/35)] (P ＜ 0.01).The scores of GCS before treatment in low BE group was significantly higher than that in high BE group [(7.56 ± 3.09) scores vs.(10.51 ± 2.43) scores](P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion The level of early BE is a good factor on evaluating the condition and prognosis in TBI patients.
