Long non-coding RNAs ( LncRNAs) are a class of RNA transcripts greater than 200 nt in length without the func-tion of protein encoding.LncRNAs, which consist of a great variety of categories and structures, regulate the associated gene expression on multiple levels, including chromatin modification, transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation, and epigenetic modification. Moreover, LncRNAs are widely involved in the physiological and pathological processes.Recently, a large number of studies have found that the abnormal expression of LncRNAs is closely related to the occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis of tumor, and plays an essential role in pathogensis of colorectal cancer.In this paper, the function of LncRNAs in colorectal cancer is reviewed, which provides a theoretical evidence for its use in the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer in clinical study.

This paper presents plasma exchange(P.E) therapy in 8 cases of four types of immunic diseaes. The colony forming unit-T lymphocyte (TL-CFU), the symbol T-cell subsets with monoclone antibody (McAb), and the cisrculating immune complex (CIC)were examined before and after the therapy of P.E. and compared with the interelationship of each other. The experiments indicated that plasmapheresis may remove the CIC and noxious autoantibodies and regulation of the action of cellular immunity. All these functions are synthetic therapeutic effects. Objective To establish a quality standard of Shutongantai Capsules. Methods Thermo C18 column was used with methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid as mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, detection wavelength was 254 nm, and column temperature was 30 ℃. Results Emodin showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.016-0.080 μg (r=0.999 6). Chrysophanol showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.032-0.160 μg (r=0.999 8). Conclusion The established method is simple, feasible and reproducible, and can be used for the quality control of Shutongantai Capsules.

Objective To build a method for determination of berberine, epiberberine, coptisine and palmatine in Shutongantai Capsules by HPLC.Methods Thermo C18 column (5μm, 4.0 mm× 250 mm) was used with acetonitrile-0.05 mol/L potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution (50∶50, 0.4 g sodium dodecyl sulfate was added in each 100 mL solution, to adjust the pH 4.0 with phosphoric acid) as mobile phase;the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min;detection wavelength was 345 nm;column temperature was 30℃.Results Berberine hydrochloride showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.180 34-0.901 68μg (r=0.999 8).Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and reproducible, and can be used for the quality control of Shutongantai Capsules.

Objective To survey the effect of innovation of rural water supply and latrine improvement to the control of the incidence of diarrheal disease in Sichuan Province,to provide the scientific basis to the prevention and treatment of diarrheal disease.Methods Research and analyze the condition of the rural water supply innovation,latrine improvement and the incidence of diarrheal disease on 12 administrative villages in Luojiang and Danling County from Dec.2006 to Sep.2007.Results Among the 1 659 houses under research,the main type of water supply is non-central water supply,accounting for 92.65%.The main origin of central water supply is underground water,accounting for 83.6%.Only 716 houses have sanitary latrine,accounting for 43.16%,the main type of sanitary latrine is marsh gas pool,accounting for 96.79%.The main type of non-sanitary latrine is dry latrine without leak,accounting for 92.79%.Mongzi,Longtan,Shihe and Meiwan are both water supply and latrine innovated countries,Yujiaan,Minghui are only latrine innovated countries,Mingyue,Wuying and Sanyan are noninnovated countries.During the 20 551 persons under research for four times,192 persons have diarrheal symptom.The annual incidence is 0.93%.The diarrheal disease for both water supply and latrine innovated country,either water supply or latrine innovated country,non-innovated country is 0.70%(48/6 872),0.91%(77/8 506),1.30%(67/5 173).There is significant discrepancy(?2=11.486,P0.05).The incidence of diarrheal disease of latrine improvement country is lower than none-latrine improvement country.There is significant discrepancy(?2=15.061,P

AIM: To investigate the expression of TCR V? subfamily in T cells in patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). METHODS: The TCR V? 24 subfamily genes were amplified in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 5 cases with ITP using RT-PCR, to observe the usage of TCR V? repertoire. 10 normal individuals served as controls. RESULTS: Only 4-11 V? subfamily in T cells were identified in ITP cases. The frequent expressions of V? subfamilies were V?2 (100%), V?3 (100%), V?19 (80%) and V?21 (80%), while the expression of V?4, V?6-12, V?17, V?20 and V?24 were not detected. All 24 V? subfamilies were detected in samples from normal individuals. CONCLUSION: The restricted expression of TCR V? subfamilies is one of the T-cell immune features in patients with ITP, indicating that it may be related to the disorder of cellular immune function in ITP.

AIM: To analyze T cell clonality in patients with T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). METHODS: The complementarity determining region 3 (CDR3) size of 24 T cell antigen receptor variable ? (TCR V?) region gene was analyzed in peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) samples from 6 T-ALL cases and 10 normal individuals by using reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The PCR products were further studied by genescan and sequencing analysis. RESULTS: Some TCR V? subfamily T cells display mono- or oligoclonal expansions in 3 cases of T-ALL, predominantly in V?2, V?3, V?6, V?9, V?21 or V?24, respectively. Polyclonal expansions of T cells were found in the other three cases, which could also be found in normal samples. CONCLUSION: A part of T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells may arise from a clonal expansion of TCR V? subfamily T cell. This method may be useful for the detection of minimal residual disease in clinical study of the disease.

AIM:To investigate the distribution and clonality of TCR V? subfamily T cells in cord blood. METHODS: The CDR3 of TCR V? 24 subfamily genes were amplified in mononuclear cells from 13 cases of cord blood. To observe the usage of TCR V? repertoire, the PCR products were further labeled with fluorescent and analyzed by genescan technique for the CDR3 size, to evaluate clonality of the detectable TCR V? T cells. Peripheral bloods from 10 cases of normal individuals and T cell line Molt-4 and Jurkat served as controls. RESULTS: Only 38.78%?16 26% of 24 V? subfamily T cell were selectively expressed in cord blood, predominantly in V? 3, 5, 8, 9 and 13, whereas all 24 V? subfamilies could be detected in T cells from peripheral blood of normal individuals. Genescan analysis showed that all PCR products of TCR V? subfamilies from cord blood or normal individual peripheral blood displayed multi-peaks. CONCLUSION: Some TCR V? subfamily T cells were absent in cord blood. All TCR V? subfamily T cells in cord blood displayed polyclonality.
