This is a case report of isolated marginal zone B cell lymphoma originating from the parapharyngeal space and reaching up to the side of skull base. There are no obvious clinical symptoms of the marginal zone B cell lymphoma originating in the parapharyngeal space, the imaging examination of which showed slightly blurred edge mass shadow with heterogeneous textures and no specificity. The pathological examination revealed a large number of lymphocyte proliferation, which was not specific yet. Immunohistochemistry may show the tumor was monoclonal and positive to CD20 and CD79a positive. Marginal zone B cell lymphoma originating in the parapharyngeal space is a rare tumor with no specific clinical symptoms or early signs, and is easily misdiagnosed. The diagnosis should be confirmed based on pathological and immunohistochemical examination, and the tumor can be treated by surgery combined with chemotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(1):77-80
Objective To explore the type of circadian rhythms and risk factors for post-stroke insomnia. Methods From January, 2012 to June, 2014, the patients with cerebral middle artery infarction were divided into insomnia group (n=25) and control group (n=25). The general characterizations of the patients were collected. They were assessed with Morning and Evening Questionnaire (MEQ), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) and Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS). Results The MEQ score was lower in the insomnia group than in the control group (t=2.676, P<0.05). The frequency of moderate night type (20%) and absoluteness night type (4%) were higher in the insomnia group than in the control group. High score (>11) of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) was the independent risk foctor for post- stroke insomnia (OR=1.463, 95% CI=1.112- 1.925). The scores of ESS, PSQI, ISI and FSS were higher in the insomnia group than in the control group (t>5.609, P<0.001). The scores of ESS (r=0.334, P<0.05), FSS (r=0.535, P<0.01), PSQI (r=0.461, P=0.001) and ISI (r=0.504, P<0.01) were positively correlated with the NIHSS score. Conclusion The patients with post-stroke insomnia impair in circadian rhythms. High NIHSS score is the independent risk factor for post-stroke insom-nia.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2010;45(8):1064-6
Family Schisandraceae is composed of two genera Schisandra and Kadsura, which are quite different in regard to the used part and medical function. Traditionally, the fruits of Schisandra plants were called 'Wuweizi' used as tonic for neurasthenia, antitussive, and sedative agents. The stems and roots of Kadsura plants, with names related to 'XueTeng', possess activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis and are used for the treatment of rheumatism, fractures and irregular menstruation. The dried fruit of Schisandra chinensis was recorded in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010 Edition) as 'Wuweizi', while the dried fruit of S. sphenanthera was recorded as an official origin of 'Nanwuweizi'. Historically, there was no evidence that the fruits of Kadsura plants were substituted as 'Wuweizi' either in ancient literatures or contemporary marketing. However, genus Kadsura is still popularly called 'Nanwuweizi' and plant K. longipedunculata is regarded as the origin of 'Nanwuweizi', thus this will cause confusion as well as misunderstanding of genus Kadsura. The authors recommended, therefore, the Chinese name of genus Kadsura should be 'Lengfantengshu' and K. longipedunculata with the name of 'Lengfanteng' in order to guarantee the drug authenticity.

Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2016;21(3):183-186
Hepatic stellate cells(HSCs),the pluripotent cells, exist between liver sinusoidal endothelial cells and hepatic epithelial cells. Activated HSCs transform to myofibroblast-like cells, start to proliferate, and de novo express some proinflammatory and profibrogenic genes, which promote hepatic fibrogenesis. Previous studies mainly focused on the relationship between HSCs and liver fibrosis, however, recent studies indicate that HSCs are essential for proliferation, differentiation and maturation of various liver cells in the process of liver development and regeneration. This review systematically summarized the source, developmental regulation and function of HSCs,and focused on progress of recent studies on the role of HSCs in liver development and regeneration. The novel knowledge of HSCs may provide clues for treatment of liver diseases.
