Objective:To explore whether the inequality of economic development in different provinces in China leads to differences in pediatric nurses ′ health education literacy and to analyze related factors affecting pediatric nurses ′ health education literacy. Methods:Self-designed and tested online questionnaire of competencies in health education (scoring scale 10-50) were distributed to pediatric nurses in China in October 2018. We examined the influencing factors of competencies in health education and its relationship with the province-level data on gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. Results:A total of 15 443 pediatric nurses from 31 provinces were eligible for the analysis. At the regional of GDP per capital over than 20 000 US dollars, 15 000 to 20 000 US dollars, 10 000 to 14 900 US dollars and less than 10 000 US dollars, the health education literacy scores were 40.76±4.52, 40.66±4.08, 40.50± 4.02 and 39.69±4.32 respectively. Significant difference was found between the competencies in health education of pediatric nurses and provinces with different GDP per capita ( F value was 9.21, P<0.001). Regression and hierarchical analysis models based on GDP per capita showed that: nurses with senior professional titles, bachelor degrees or above, aged over 40, and those working in emergency rooms have higher competencies in health education ( OR value was 0.296-4.766, P<0.05) . Lower competencies in health education were demonstrated on nurses who have been working less than 5 years ( OR value was 0.319, P<0.05). Conclusions:Economic development is one of the main factors that affect the competencies in health education of pediatric nurses in China. Pediatric nurses who were young, had limited working experience, with low office titles, with low education background, and who working at non-emergency rooms require more training.

Objecitv e To investigate the effects of a recombinant protein osteoclast inhibitory lectin related protein 2( OCILRP2)-Fc on LPS-induced endotoxemia by blocking OCILRP 2 signaling pathway and to in-vestigate the roles of OCILRP2 during inflammation. Methods Real-time PCR was used to detect OCILRP2 ex-pression at mRNA level in RAW264.7cells before and after in vitro stimulation with LPS.A mouse model of en-dotoxemia was established by intraperitoneal injection of BALB /c mice with a median lethal dose of LPS .Two hours prior to LPS treatment, mice were intraperitoneally injected with OCILRP2-Fc, human IgG or PBS, re-spectively .Several parameters including the survival rate of BALB/c mice with and without LPS treatment , spleen weight for arterial hyperemia analyzing , histopathological changes of lung and liver by HE staining , serum levels of inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-12, TNF-αand IFN-γ)by ELISA , NF-κB activity by Western blot, were analyzed .Results Real-time PCR showed that LPS elevated in vitro OCILRP2 expression at mRNA level in macrophages (P<0.05).Upon the treatment of OCILRP2-Fc, BALB/c mice suffered from endotoxemia showed obviously increased survival rate , decreased spleen hyperemia , attenuated pathological injury of lung and liver, reduced levels of IL-6, IL-12, TNF-αand IFN-γin serum samples (P <0.05) as compared with mice treated with human IgG and PBS .LPS induced NF-κB p65 phosphorylation and IκB degradation were inhibited by OCILRP2-Fc treatment. Conclusion OCILRP2-Fc protects mice from endotoxemia by blocking OCILRP 2 signaling, which suggests that OCILRP2 plays an important role in LPS induced inflammation.

Objective To observe the characteristics of bone development and body development in 3-7 years old children with cerebral palsy. Methods 50 girls and 50 boys aged 3-7 years with cerebral palsy were included. Their height, weight, length of right and left upper extremities, and both hands bone age were measured by trained professionals. Results Their bone ages of both hands were 1 year younger than actual age (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between right and left hand bone age (P>0.05). Their height growth was in line with the normal children, while the weight growth was a little different. Both sides of upper limbs growed synchronously, and slowed down with the time. There was no significant difference in both sides (P>0.05). Conclusion The bone development of children with cerebral palsy lags behind the life age. Their height growth is close to normal children. The development shows no no significant lateral dominance.

Chinese Critical Care Medicine 2021;33(12):1508-1510
Dysglycemia is independently associated with the mortality of critically ill patients. Therefore, the management of blood glucose plays an important role in comprehensive therapy. It is suggested that the same target value of blood glucose (7.8-10.0 mmol/L) should not be set for all critically ill patients. Instead, it should be individually set based on the causes of the patient's admission and the status of blood glucose before admission. For this reason, there is an urgent need for a convenient protocol and method to regulate the dosage of insulin. The first hospital of Jiaxing, collaborating with information engineers, developed a modified eProtocol-insulin for domestic population with mathematical modeling and developed an Application Software (APP), which is convenient for clinical use. This is the first eProtocol-insulin and smart device APP for critically ill patients in China.

Objective:To translate the health literate healthcare organization 10 item questionnaire(HLHO-10) into Chinese and examine its reliability and validity. Methods:The Chinese version of HLHO-10 questionnaire(HLHO-10-C) was developed by following the Brislin translation model of translation, back translation, cultural adaptation and questionnaire epistemological survey.Five experts and 1 071 medical staff from 24 healthcare organizations in Zhejiang province were selected to conduct the validity and reliability test of the HLHO-10-C.Results:The content validity indices at the item level and total questionnaire level of HLHO-10-C were from 0.8 to 1.0 and 0.96 respectively, and the results of the exploratory factor analysis showed good structural validity.Conclusions:HLHO-10-C proves adequate reliability and validity to serve as a tool for healthcare organizations in evaluating and becoming HLHO. It can also help the implementation of the Healthy China Initiative(2019—2030), which is a performance assessment mechanism for health education and promotion of healthcare providers and health care organizations.

Objective:To construct the concept and its conceptual framework of hospital health literacy(HHL) for exploring the HHL promotion mechanism in the country. Methods:Based on the proceduralised grounded theory, twelve middle or senior managers of hospitals were selected for in-depth interviews and three hospitals were selected for field research from July 2021 to February 2022. Open coding, axial coding, and selective coding were used in data analysis, establishing the concept of HHL and its conceptual framework in China. Results:The conceptual framework of HHL was composed of an internal driver mechanism(hospitals improve their health literacy promotion management system, staff-led health literacy promotion, health literacy promoting physical environment construction), and an external driver mechanism(cooperate with external organizations and institutions to conduct health literacy promotion). The concept of HHL in China was derived as follows: the combination of supportive environments and human resources that health care organizations have in place can improve access and understandability of health information and simplify healthcare services to help patients of different health literacy levels more easily obtain, process, and understand health information as well as to make the most of medical services. Conclusions:Hospital health literacy promotion mechanism in China is a synergy between internal and external driver mechanisms.
