Chinese Journal of Clinical Laboratory Science 2001;19(3):149-151
Objective To develop an improved enzymatic method for assaying creatinine in serum and urine. Methods Cratinine iminhydrolase catalyzes the conversion of creatinine to N-methylhydantoin and ammonia, the later combines with 2-oxoglutarate and NADPH in the presence of glutamate dehydrogenase. Before beginning the reaction sequence, endogenous ammonia is removed by an “ammonia scavenger system”that involves the same auxiliary reaction. The NADPH and 2-Oxoglutarate consumed are restored through a reaction catalyzed by isocitrate dehydrogenase. The activity of this strictly magnesium-dependent enzyme is completely blocked by magnesium-complexing reagent that acts promptly whenever the reaction has started with creatinine iminohydrolase as startor. The reaction is monitored kinetically by measuring the NADPH decrease via its absorbance at 340nm.Results The method affords a simple, rapid, and sensitive assay with good precision and extended linearity.Test results compare closely with the HPLC precedure. The proposed method is not subject to interference from several metablites or from the drugs used commonly in clinics. Conclusion The method is easily automated and is suitable for routine work in clinical laboratories.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Ziyin Yikang Recipe plus hexadecadrol on anti-HCG antibody positive secondary sterility and the influence on anti-HCG antibody titers. Methods Sixty patients with anti-HCG antibody positive secondary sterility were randomly divided into treatment group (TG) and control group (CG), 30 cases in each. Patients in the TG were treated with Ziyin Yikang Recipe plus hexadecadrol, while patients in the CG were given hexadecadrol only. The Chinese medicine symptom scores and changes of anti-HCG antibody titers were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results The Chinese medicine symptom scores in the two groups decreased compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the TG showed a more significant decrease than the CG (P<0.05). The anti-HCG antibody titers in both groups dropped compared with those before treatment (P<0.05, P<0.01). There was no statistically difference between the two group after treatment (P>0.05). The total effective rate in the TG was higher that that in the CG (P<0.05), with 63.33% (19/30) in the TG and 47.66% (14/30) in the CG.Conclusion The treatment of Ziyin Yikang Recipe plus hexadecadrol on anti-HCG positive secondary sterility can obviously improve the clinical syndrome of yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity, and promote pregnancy success.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2014;(8):1094-1098
A method using dry ashing combined with triple-phase ion-exchange chromatography was developed to enrich chlorine in the plant, which could eliminate the effect of organic impurities on the determination of chlorine isotope by thermal ionization mass spectrometry. In the procedure, the recoveries indicated that there was no loss of chlorine and no fractionation of chlorine isotopes occur. The results showed that the composition of chlorine isotope in the tissues of plants in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau area and Shandong area ranged from-1 . 79‰ to ﹢4 . 77‰ with an average of 1 . 20‰. δ37Cl values of the two plant samples in Shandong area not more than 0‰indicated that 35 Cl was enriched in the organs of the two plants andδ37Cl values in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau area more than 0‰ indicated the deficiency of 35 Cl. Chlorine isotope composition fractionated significantly in the plant samples or in different tissues of a plant. This may be caused by the differences of the medium where the plants grow, the transport of chlorine or the physiological effect in the uptake of chlorine by plants , which put forward a new insight for the further investigation of chlorine behavior in plant and the global cycling of chlorine in the biogeochemistry.
