Objective To study the relation of disease classification and osteoporosis in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and to provide a theoretical basis for secondary osteoporosis.Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data of 126 patients with COPD from January 2012 to December 2014 was made.50 non-COPD patients were included as control group,the pulmonary function and BMD of the femoral neck,trochanter,Ward Dis-trict were detected.And according to FEV1 , all patients were divided into mild pulmonary dysfunction group ( n=31),moderate pulmonary dysfunction group (n=54) and severe pulmonary dysfunction group (n=41);the rate of osteoporosis were measured in COPD group and non-COPD group,the difference of BMD were compared in patients with different pulmonary injury.Results ( 1 ) There were 45 cases of osteoporosis in 126 patients with COPD, accounting for 35.7%, 22 cases of osteopenia, accounting for 17.5%.There were 9 cases of osteoporosis in 50 patients with non-COPD,accounting for 18%,the incidence of osteoporosis were statistically different in COPD group and non-COPD group,χ2 =5.281,P<0.05.(2)The BMD of the femoral neck in mild COPD group,moderate COPD group,severe COPD group and non-COPD group were (0.74 ±0.11) g/cm,(0.66 ±0.08) g/cm,(0.56 ± 0.05)g/cm and (0.94 ±0.10) g/cm,the BMD of trochanter were respectively (0.71 ±0.12) g/cm,(0.63 ± 0.07)g/cm,(0.56 ±0.05)g/cm and (0.95 ±0.08)g/cm,the BMD of Ward District were (0.88 ±0.14)g/cm, (0.72 ±0.10)g/cm,(0.61 ±0.07)g/cm and (0.96 ±0.09)g/cm respectively,which were statistically significant (F=7.557,6.852,7.432,all P<0.01).The BMD of the femoral neck,trochanter,Ward District in COPD group were significantly less than non-COPD,and the more severe of pulmonary dysfunction,the more decreases of bone density.(3) The FEV1% in osteoporosis group,osteopenia group,normal BMD group were respectively (59.0 ±8.7)%,(77.7 ±7.6)% and (49.4 ±15.8)%;the FVC% were (77.8 ±28.8)%,(88.9 ±38.4)%,(73.8 ± 21.1)%;the FEV1/FVC were (66.5 ±20.6)%,(59.8 ±24.2)%,(34.1 ±3.6)%(F=9.554,5.556,7.487,all P<0.01),Conclusion There were a certain correlation between BMD and lung function.Osteoporosis is one of the extrapulmonary effects in elder COPD patients.So BMD should be regularly monitored for helping for early prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and development in osteoporosis,and improving lung function and clinical efficacy.

Although a great number of studies have investigated the changes of resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) in patients with mental disorders, such as depression and schizophrenia etc, little is known how stable the changes are, and whether temporal sad or happy mood can modulate the intrinsic rsFC. In our experiments, happy and sad video clips were used to induce temporally happy and sad mood states in 20 healthy young adults. We collected functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data while participants were watching happy or sad video clips, which were administrated in two consecutive days. Seed-based functional connectivity analyses were conducted using the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), and amygdala as seeds to investigate neural network related to executive function, attention, and emotion. We also investigated the association of the rsFC changes with emotional arousability level to understand individual differences. There is significantly stronger functional connectivity between the left DLPFC and posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) under sad mood than that under happy mood. The increased connectivity strength was positively correlated with subjects' emotional arousability. The increased positive correlation between the left DLPFC and PCC under sad relative to happy mood might reflect an increased processing of negative emotion-relevant stimuli. The easier one was induced by strong negative emotion (higher emotional arousability), the greater the left DLPFC-PCC connectivity was indicated, the greater the instability of the intrinsic rsFC was shown.

Objective To explore the effects of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on hyperoxia-induced lung injury in neonatal rats.Methods Eighty full-term Sprague-Dawley rats within 12 hours after birth were randomly divided into control group,hyperoxia group,sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) + hyperoxia group (NaHS 90 μmol/kg injected intraperitoneally) and propargylglycine (PPG) +hyperoxia group (PPG 50 mg/kg injected intraperitoneally).Except for the control group,the other three groups were exposed to 95％ O2 for seven days.Pulmonary histopathology was observed after HE staining,numeration of leukocyte and albumin in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were processed by optical microscope and Lowry methods.The plasma H2S concentration,activity of cystathionine-γ-lyase (CSE) and contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) in lung tissues were also detected.Analysis of variance and LSD-t test were used for statistics.Results (1) Compared with the control group,alveolar hemorrhage,interstitial edema,inflammatory cell infiltration were observed in the hyperoxia group.The number of white blood cells,neutrophils and albumin content in BALF increased in the hyperoxia group [(130.2± 15.3) × 107/L vs (15.1 ±2.5) × 107/L; (64.6± 12.4) × 107/L vs (2.1 ±0.5) × 107/L; (934.6± 106.4) mg/L vs (254.3±50.7) mg/L,respectively.LSD-t=-14.65,5.78 and 2.97,all P＜0.01],but the plasma H2S concentration and the activity of CSE in lung tissue decreased [(112.6± 20.4) μmol/Lvs (182.3±15.7) μ mol/L,LSD-t=-9.90; (3.4±0.4) μmol/ (min·g) vs (6.8± 1.4) μ mol/ (min · g),LSD-t=-4.59; both P＜0.01].However,the contents of MDA increased [(1.7± 0.3) nmol/ml vs (0.9±0.1) nmol/ml,LSD-t=3.03,P＜0.01].(2) Compared with the hyperoxia group,inflammatory exudation and structural disorder of lung tissue were alleviated in the NaHS+hyperoxia group.White blood cells [(56.3± 11.6) × 107/L],neutrophils [(34.8±7.8) × 107/L] and albumin content [(753.8± 89.6) mg/L] in BALF decreased significantly (LSD-t=-9.66,-11.81 and-5.78,P＜0.01).The plasma H2S concentration [(235.7±32.7) μ mol/L] and the activity ofCSE [(5.8± 1.1) μ mol/(min · g)] increased significantly (LSD-t=11.34 and 5.98,P＜0.01) in the NaHS+hyperoxia group.(3) Compared with the hyperoxia group,inflammatory exudation and structural disorder of lung tissue were more severe in PPG+ hyperoxia group.White blood cells,neutrophils and albumin content in BALF increased significantly (LSD-t=5.52,6.37 and 8.23,P＜0.01),the plasma H2S concentration and the activity of CSE decreased (LSD-t=-4.29 and-3.97,P＜0.01),the contents of MDA increased (LSD-t=3.02,P＜0.01).Conclusions H2S is involved in the pathophysiological process of hyperoxia-induced lung injury in neonatal rats.Exogenous H2S can alleviate the pulmonary injury by inhibiting inflammatory reaction and oxidative stress.

We found previously that water soluble extract of Liriope spicata Lour (SanMaiDong) possesses cardioprotective action. The paper reported that effects of total aminoacid ex- traded from Liriope spicata Lour (Tal) on experimental myocardial ischemia in rats. The results indicate that Tal (5 mg?kg-1 ,ip) obviously antagonized ischemic ECG changes induced by pituitrin in rats. In myocardial ischemic rats caused by isoprenaline (8 mg?kg-1) Tal 15 mg? kg-1ip significantly reduced ST and decreased CPK release and lowered the content of MDA. In a myocardial ischemic mode) induced by ligat-ing the left anterior descending coronary artery in rats, Tal 15 mg?kg-1ip remarkably decreased plasma CPK and FFA levels and was found todiminish the infarct size. The ratio of its infarct size (5. 80%) is similar to that of propranolol (5. 41%),but apparently smaller than that of ligated group (18.55%). The results suggest that Tal can protect ischemic myocardium and this action may relate to the prevention of my-ocardial lipid peroxication and improvement of myocardial metabolism.

Objective To investigate the hemodynamics of basilar artery and its blood-supply area in patients with vertigo by 3.0 T MR.Methods Fifty patients with vertigo were selected as case group and 50 healthy volunteers were selected as control group.All subjects in the case group and in control group were examined by brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),magnetic resonance angiography(MRA),fast cine phase contrast(Fast CINE PC) and flow-sensitive alternating inversion recovery sequence (FAIR).After image postprocessing,the velocity and the blood flow volume of basilar artery were measured and calculated.The FAIR value of bilateral occipital lobe,cerebellum,pons and medulla oblongata was measured.Statistical testing was performed.Results The average velocity,peak velocity and blood flow volume of the basilar artery in case group were significantly lower than those in the control group(the average velocity:(22.47 ±9.14) cm/s vs (31.41 ±5.97) cm/s,t =-5.79,P ＜ 0.0001 ; peak velocity:(31.60 ± 13.18) cm/s vs (44.00 ± 7.84) cm/s,t =-5.71,P ＜0.0001 ;blood flow volume:(91.14 ±43.92) ml/min vs (127.49 ± 28.33) ml/min,t =-4.92,P ＜0.0001).The perfusion of the posterior circulation in the case group was lower than that in the control group ((882.35 ±35.22) vs (906.34 ±36.82),t =-3.33,P =0.0012).The average velocity,peak velocity and blood flow volume of the basilar artery in case group whose brain parenchyma and blood vessels were normal were (26.31 ±5.16) cm/s,(36.33 ±6.60) cm/s,(95.38 ±28.16) ml/min respectively,which were all less than those in the control group (average velocity:t =-2.72,P =0.0086 ; peak velocity:t =-3.12,P =0.0027 ;blood flow volume:t =-3.53,P =0.0008).The perfusion of the basilar artery blood-supply area in case group whose brain parenchyma and blood vessels were normal was (904.00 ± 35.82),there was no difference when compared with the control group (906.00 ± 36.82,t =-0.20,P =0.8427).Conclusion Whether the brain parenchyma and blood vessels is normal or not,the velocity and blood flow volume of the basilar artery in patients with vertigo are decreased,but the perfusion of the basilar artery blood-supply area are different,it depends on whether there is ischemia.

Objective Through observing the changes of serum creatinine (Scr),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),and Cystatin C (Cys C) to prove whether the treatment of patients of diabetic nephropathy (DN) in V period with Jiawei-qidan-tangshen decoction is really effective.Methods 60 patients of DN in V period were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group by random number table method,with 30 patients in each group.Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c),serum creatinine (Scr),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),and Cystatin C (Cys C) were detected before and after the treatment.Results 12 weeks after treatment,Scr,Cys C (19.19±37.06) μmol/L,(1.81 ±0.69)mg/L had significantly declined in the treatment group (P＜0.001),and had no significant change (147.25±62.70)μmol/L,(2.04± 1.20)mg/L in the control group (P＞0.05).Total effective rate of Scr and Cys C was 73.33％ and 83.33％ in the treatment group and 40％ and 53.33％ in the control group respectively,both showing significant difference (P＜0.05).Conclusion It is effective to treat patients of DN in V period with,Jiawei-qidan-tangshen decoction,and have no obvious side effects.

Objective: Our purpose was to study the expression of protein of nm23 gene in patients with epithelial ovarian carcinoma.Methods:Protein of nm23 gene was detected by immunohistochemical technique in 45 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, 12 with borderline, and 10 with benign ovarian tumor.Results:The positive expression rate in ovarian cancer (73.3%) was significantly higher than that of the benign and borderline tumors. There was no significant correlation between the expression of nm23 gene and the histological type, grade, the existence of ascites or the size of residul after operation. However, the expression of nm23 gene protein was negatively related with the FIGO stage. The overall survival rate of the patients with positive expression of nm23 gene was much higher than that of the patients with negative expression. Conclusion:The findings suggest that nm23 gene protein might serve as a valuable and independent marker for the prognosis of ovarian cancer.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of five infection markers in bloodstream infection.Methods Randomly selected 110 bloodstream infection patients with positive blood cultures and 30 bacterial infection patients with negative blood cultures.Blood was simultaneously drawn with blood cultures;the complete blood count and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were measured.The white blood cell count (WBC),neutrophil count (NEU),lymphocyte count (LMY),CRP level and neutrophil-lymphocyte count ratio (NLCR) were compared between the two groups.Results The levels of WBC,NEU,NLCR and CRP in bloodstream infection group were significantly higher than those in control group (P＜0.05),while LYM was significantly lower than that in control group (P＜ 0.05).Among these five infection markers,the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC-AUC) was the highest for NLCR (0.808) and LMY (0.756);when the cutoff value for NLCR was ＞9.33,sensitivity was 63.6％,specificity was 93.3％;and the cutoff value for LYM was ≤0.97,sensitivity was 58.2％,specificity was 86.7％.Furthermore,the NLCR of patients with gram-negative bloodstream infection was higher than those in patients with gram-positive bloodstream infection.NLCR showed important clinical significance in distinguishing strains of different bloodstream infections.Conclusions NLCR is the better predictors than routine parameters in diagnosing bloodstream infection.

A method for the determination of caffeine in urea was developed based on bubble-in-drop single drop microextraction (BID-SDME) followed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS).Under the optimum conditions including chloroform as extraction solvent, an exposure volume of 1 μL, a bubble volume of 1.6 μL, stirring for 5 min at 300 r/min, 15% (m/V) NaCl, and a distance of 1 cm between bubble and stirring bar, the detection limit of this method was as low as 0.003 mg/L and the linear range was from 0.005 mg/L to 10 mg/L with correlation coefficient of 0.982.The recoveries of caffeine were from 89.2% to 107.5% at different spiked levels in human urine and the relative standard deviation (RSD, n=6) was less than 8%.
