Objective To discuss the CT features and pathologic basis of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis. Methods Total 19 cases were confirmed by ELISA and IHA of antibody of echinococcosis. A part of them were confirmed by pathalogy. Results The main features of the disease were irregular, obscure contour and heterogeneous density with mainly hypodense in the liver. Almost of all accompanied with calcification. The calcification was showed some certainly signification. No contrast enhancement was observed within the lesions after administration of intravenous contrast medium. There were three type of this disease based on CT features including map type, halo type and pseudocystic type. Conclusion CT scanning has value of not only for diagnosis of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis but also useful to display each complications and metastasis.

Objective There were few studies of prediction on type 2 diabetic patients with acute pulmonary thromboembo?lism. To evaluate the performance of the Padua score, revised Geneva score and Wells PE score in the prediction value of diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus with acute pulmonary thromboembolism( APTE) . Methods 151cases with suspected APTE of type 2 diabe?tes were collected from January 2013 to December 2015 by a retrospective case analysis mode. Among 151 pations,80 cases had diag?nosed with pulmonary thromboembolism. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the probability of type 2 diabetic patients with APTE predicted by the Padua, the revised Geneva and the Wells PE score. We calculated the Youden Index for the cut?off point. Results The area under curve( AUC) of the ROC curve in the Padua score, revised Geneva score and Wells PE score for APTE was 0.804±0.035、0.635±0.045 and 0.705±0.043. The area under the ROC curve of the Padua score was the highest and there was a significant difference compared with the revised Geneva( P<0.016 7) . The comparison of Padua score and Wells PE for the predication value was no statistically significant difference ( P>0.016 7) . The comparison of revised Geneva score and Wells PE for the predication value was no statistically significant difference ( P>0.016 7) . The cut?off of Padua score was 3 points and Youden Index was 0.51. The cut?off of Revised Geneva was 3 points and Youden In?dex was 0.24. The cut?off of Wells PE score was 1 points and Youden Index was 0.39. Conclusion Padua score, revised Geneva score and Wells PE score in predicting diabetes patients have some ex?tent clinical value terms, which Padua score has higher predictive value than the Revised Geneva. The predictive value of Padua score and Wells PE score was equivalent. However, the predictive value of Padua score is limited.

Objective To investigate the X-ray and clinic manifestations of hereditary multiple osteochondroma(HMO).Methods Five patients with HMO clinically and pathologically confirmed and 63 persons in their pedigree were studied. Results Of 63 cases inquired in this study, there were 21 patients with hereditary multiple exostosis, including 16 men and 5 women. In 5 cases confirmed pathologically,4 patients had hereditary history of pedigree and the members of three generation in 1 patient with HMO had no the history of pedigree. Conclusion HMO has the remarkable sex difference and the typical inherited trend including the location of exostosis.HMO has inherited character of skipping generation.

Objective To study CT and MRI findings of the eclamptic encephalopathy in plateau. Methods CT and MRI findings in 28 patients in plateau with eclamptic encephalopathy were retrospectively analyzed. Results CT and MRI appearances of eclamptism were as follow:normal in brain in 3 cases;cerebral edema in 18 cases, including slight encephaledema in 2 cases, focal encephaledema in 11 cases and diffuse encephaledema in 5 cases;cerebral hemorrhage in 6 cases and sinovenous thrombosis in 1 case. Conclusion CT and MRI scan are of significant value in diagnosis and treatment of eclamptic encephalopathy in plateau.

Objective To explore the diagnostic and classified value of tuberculosis of brain with CT imaging. Methods CT scans were performed in 37 cases with tuberculosis of brain confirmed by clinic and laboratory examination of CSF.Results CT images were abnormal in 26 cases.6 cases were the type of brain substance,6 cases were meningeal type and 14 cases were mixed type. Conclusion CT examination can offer correct evidences of location and qualitalive diagnosis of tuberculosis of brain .

ObjectiveTo examine the protective effects of 17-β estradiol on the experimental model of spinal cord injury (SCI) rats. Methods One hundred and eighty male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats, after Allen' s model, SD rats were divided into three groups: the sham group, the acute spinal cord injury (control groups) and the acute spinal cord injury supplying with 17-β estradiol treatment group. SCI was made by Allen's weight dropping, impacting on the posteriors of spinal cord T10. The content of malonyldialdehyed (MDA), glutathione (GSH), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were determined by chromatometry. The expressions of Caspase-3 and Bcl-2 family in the injured spinal cord were detected by immunohistochemical staining. Results The BBB scores at each time point in 17-β estradiol treatment group were significantly higher than that in SCI group (P<0.05). The contents of GSH, SOD, GSH-Px and the expression of Bcl-2 protein at the majority of time point in 17-β estradiol treatment group were significantly higher than that in SCI group(P<0.05), however, the MDA, Caspase-3 and Bax were markedly decreased (P<0.05). Conclusions This study suggests that 17-β estradiol administration might prevent the cells from SCI-induced apoptosis by triggering to reduce the oxidative stress.

Purpose:
The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness and outcomes of percutaneous ablation guided by ultrasonography (US) and computed tomography (CT) in colorectal liver oligometastases (CLOM).
Methods:
This study included patients with CLOM treated with percutaneous ablation from January 2008 to January 2021 in this observational study. Only lesions visualized on both CT and US images were further analyzed according to whether patients’ initial ablation treatments utilized US guidance or CT guidance. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate local tumor progression (LTP)–free survival after propensity score matching (PSM). The LTP-free survival and treatment-related outcomes were compared between these two groups.
Results:
PSM identified 116 patients from each group, with 269 and 238 lesions in the USguided and CT-guided groups, respectively. US-guided ablation had a shorter average procedure time and lower cost than CT-guided ablation (27.54±12.06 minutes vs. 32.70±13.88 minutes, P=0.003; $2,175.13±618.17 vs. $2,455.49±710.25, P=0.002). For patients >60 years of age, the cumulative LTP rate at 1 year was lower in the US-guided group than in the CT-guided group (17.8% vs. 25.1%, P=0.038). For patients with perivascular liver lesions, the cumulative LTP rate at 1 year was lower in the US-guided group (14.4% vs. 28.2%, P=0.040).
Conclusion
For patients whose age is >60 years or who have perivascular liver lesions, USguided ablation is better than CT-guided ablation, with a shorter treatment time and lower costs when both ablation methods are feasible for patients.
