Objective To investigate the cause and treatment for ischemic ophthalmopathy after cataract phacoemulsification.Methods A total of 3000 patients with cataract underwent phacoemulsification were retrospectively analyzed,and 13 patients with ischemic ophthalmopathy.The ischemic optic neuropathy (ION) were in 8 cases,7 cases occurred in age related cataract,1 cases occurred in the dislocation of lens;The central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) were occurred in 5 cases,1 cases of age-related cataract,2 cases of congenital cataract,2 cases of traumatic cataract.The patients were diagnosed with fundus,visual field and fundus fluorescein angiography respectively,and then were treated with dilation of blood vessels,nutrition nerves and symptomatic treatment.Results The visual acuity in 6 cases with ION after the treatment were improved in different degrees;The visual acuity in 2 cases with CRAO after treatment were improved,3 cases was not recovered.Conclusion Ischemic ophthalmopathy caused by phacoemulsification cataract surgery may be related to the main vascular disease or optic nerve ischemia and hypoxia during operation,and with early detection and treatment,visual acuity can be improved to some extent.

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of combining acupuncture, Chinese medicine and rehabilitation training for subacute stroke. Methods:A total of 120 subacute stroke cases were randomly allocated into a treatment group (n=60) and a control group (n=60). Patients in the control group received standard rehabilitation therapy alone, whereas patients in the observation group received additional acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Before treatment, after 30-day and 60-day treatments, and 3 months after treatment, the neurologic deficit severity was evaluated using the National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS); the motor function was evaluated using the Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA); the activities of daily living (ADL) was evaluated using the Barthel index (BI); and the changes of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptoms were evaluated according to TCM symptom scores. Results:After 30-day, 60-day treatments, and 3 months after treatment, the NIHSS, FMA, BI and TCM symptoms scores were statistically different from those before treatment in both groups (allP<0.05); and there were between-group statistical differences at same time points (allP<0.05). Conclusion:Combining acupuncture, Chinese medicine and rehabilitation training can improve neurologic deficit, motor function and ADL in subacute stroke patients and its efficacy is better than rehabilitation therapy alone.

Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the association of mRNA expressions of ERCC1 (excision repair cross-complementing group 1) and BRCA1 (breast cancer 1) with chemosensitivity to cisplatin in malignant pleural and peritoneal effusions.Methods:Malignant pleural and peritoneal effusions were collected from 46 patients diagnosed with stage Ⅳ malignant tumor, prospectively. The tumor cells were isolated and the sensitivity of tumor cells to cisplatin was detected by adenosine triphosphate-bioluminescence assay (ATP-TCA). Real-time quantitative PCR was used to determine the mRNA expressions of ERCC1 and BRCA1. Results:The expression level of ERCC1 mRNA was negatively correlated with sensitivity of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) to cisplatin (P= 0.001, r=0.685). BRCA1 mRNA expression level had negative correlation with sensitivity to cisplatin in both NSCLC (P=0.014, r=0.541) and gastric cancer (P=0.002, r=0.625). A significant interaction was found between the effects of ERCC1 and BRCA1 mRNA expressions on sensitivity to cisplatin (P=0.010 for all patients;P=0.027 for gastric cancer patients).Conclusion:ERCC1 and BRCA1 mRNA expression levels correlated with ex vivo chemosensitivity of tumor cells to cisplatin in malignant pleural and peritoneal effusions. Detection of both ERCC1 and BRCA1 may have a higher reliability in predicting the sensitivity of tumor cells to cisplatin than detection of single ERCC1 or BRCA1 expression.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus rehabilitation training in treating post-stroke depression.Method Forty-one patients with post-stroke depression were randomized into a treatment group of 22 cases and a control group of 19 cases. In addition to the basic internal medicine treatment, the treatment group received acupuncture plus rehabilitation training, while the control group was intervened by rehabilitation training alone. The Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) were observed and compared before and after treatment.Result The HAMD and NIHSS scores in the two groups were significantly changed respectively after 4-week and 8-week treatment (P<0.05,P<0.01). Respectively after 4-week and 8-week treatment, the HAMD and NIHSS scores in the treatment group were significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture plus rehabilitation training is an effective approach in treating post-stroke depression.

[ABSTRACT]OBJECTIVETo compare the aerodynamic differences before and after nasal cavity ventilation expansion techniques in patients with OSAHS. METHODSA total of 30 adult patients with OSAHS were included in this study. Pre-operative upper airway CT of each subject was acquired. Each subject underwent surgery. Postoperative upper airway CT was obtained at least 3 months later. By means of CFD simulation method, numerical simulation was performed to calculate the airflow dynamic indexes of the upper airway. The pre-and post-operative aerodynamic characteristics were compared. RESULTSAfter operation, post-operative negative pressure nephogram of the nasal cavity indicated more smooth variation of pressure gradient, post-operative velocity nephogram of nasal cavity indicated slower airflow velocity. Proper values of flow field indicated the volume of nasal cavity increased significantly (t=4.025,P<0.01), the total nasal airway resistance decreased significantly (t=-2.065,P<0.01). The total negative pressure of the upper airway decreased significantly (t=-2.659,P<0.01) after operation. However, the proper values of flow field increased in 5 patients. CONCLUSIONNasal cavity ventilation expansion effectively increase the volumes of nasal cavity, improve the nasal ventilation, and reduce the air flow velocity of both nasal cavity and pharynx in OSAHS patients, those reduce the pharyngeal negative pressure and the pharyngeal collapse. However, for patients with its narrowest segment at the velopharyngeal level, operation cannot do anything or even aggravate the pharyngeal collapse. Operation should be performed individually.

Objective Experimental model of experimental autoimmune Myasthenia Gravis (EAMG) were established to explore the effect of Zini-Huangqi-Gegen decoction and Peiyuan-Guben powder on EAMG rats model.Methods Experimental animals were randomly divided into the control group (n=10) and the model group (n=30).The model rats were induced by murine AChR-α97-116 peptide immunostaining for EAMG rats model.After the first immunization,the general condictions and body weight of rats were observed,and the Lennon score was used to evaluate the rats.The second immunization was performed on the 1 1th day after the first immunization.On the 15th day after the first immunization,the rats were randomly divided into the model group(n=8),Huangqi-Gegen decoction and Peiyuan-Guben powder group (abbreviated Huangpei group,n=8) and Prednisone group (n=8) according to the Lennon score.Huangpi group rats were treated with Huangqi-Gegen decoction (21.5 g/kg) combined with Peiyuan-Guben powder (0.8 g/kg),prednisone group with 0.005 4 g/kg prednisone aqueous solution,the control group and the model group oral volume of distilled water.The rats were administered with a body weight of 10 ml/kg once a day for a total of 56 days.At the 70th day after the first immunization,serum was extracted from the rats.The Anti-AChR-α97-116 IgG and its subtype in serum were detected by ELISA.The IL-4,IL-10,IL-17 in serum were detected by ELISA.Results Compared with the model group,the weight of the rats in the Huangpei group and the prednisone group significantly increased after the 28th day of the first immunization (P＜0.05).After the 36nd day of the first immunization,the Lennon score of the Huangpei group significantly decreased (P＜0.05).At the end of the administration,the amplitude of EMG amplitude attenuation (41.83％ ± 7.45％ vs.67.76％ ± 4.32％) in the Huangpei group significantly decreased (P＜0.05),and the serum IgG (1.15 ± 0.07 vs.1.24 ± 0.08),IgG1 (0.17 ± 0.01 vs.0.25 ± 0.03),IL-4 (16.54 ± 1.66 pg/ml vs.25.64 ± 1.74 pg/ml),IL-10 (113.65 ± 12.87 pg/ml vs.121.54 ± 10.44 pg/ml),IL-17 (43.58 ± 3.54 pg/ml vs.65.76 ± 3.59 pg/ml) in the rat serum significantly decreased (P＜0.05).Conclusions Huangqi-Gegen decoction and Peiyuan-Guben powder can increase the body weight of rats,decrease the concentration of AChR-Ab in serum,the concentrations of IL-4,IL-10 and IL-17 in serum,and effectively improve the symptoms of EAMG rats.

Tujia ethnic medical science is an important sub-discipline of China's ethnic medicine system, which has rooted in major Tujia ethnic area such as Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou and Chongqing. It has its own theory, medication characteristic and experi-ence towards ethnic drugs. Particularly, in medication incompatibility, it has formed the principle of thirteen or fourteen incompatible medicament of traditional Tujia ethnic drugs, which play a certain role in guiding the usage and compatibility of tens of thousands of herbs. Focusing on the incompatibility that is abided by Tujia medical workers, the essay makes a textual study on the origin of herbs and conducts a preliminary study on the theoretical basis of thirteen or fourteen incompatible medicaments in terms of four properties of drugs and toxic and side-effect by reference to the records on nature and flavor and effectiveness, with a view of providing a preference to improve the incompatibility theory of traditional Chinese medicines and new ideas to further studies on the development and application of traditional ethnic drugs.

OBJECTIVETo construct a recombinant lentiviral vector that stably express hepatocyte nuclear factor 6 (HNF6) in colorectal cancer cell line and examine its effects on the invasive ability of SW620 cells.

METHODSThe lentiviral vector pLeno-DCE-HA-HNF6 was constructed and transfected into 293T cells. The supernatant containing the lentivirus particles was harvested to determine the virus titer. A stable cell line was established by infecting SW620 cells with the lentivirus particles, and the transfection efficiency was examined by fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. The invasion ability of the transfected SW620-HNF6 cells was assessed by wound healing and transwell assays.

RESULTSThe recombinant lentiviral vector was correctly constructed and verified by sequencing. SW620-HNF6 cell line with stable HNF6 expression was established successfully, and the transfection efficiency reached 82.3%. Western blotting and quantitative PCR demonstrated significantly upregulated HNF6 expression in SW620-HNF6 cells, which showed obviously suppressed invasive ability in wound healing and transwell assays.

CONCLUSIONWe have successfully established a colorectal cancer cell line SW620-HNF6 stably expressing HNF6, which shows a lowered migration activity in vitro.
