The paper reported three young women who collapsed into sudden abnormal behavior and convulsions and fell into unconsciousness. After admission, they were found to suffer from ovarian teratomas with anti-NMDAR antibody positive in cerebrospinal fluid or serum. The patients were diagnosed as anti-NMDAR encephalitis associated with ovarian teratoma, and teratoma resection was performed.

Objective To evaluate the role of three dimensional (3D) speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) in detection of subclinical left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction in patients with aortic stenosis (AS).Methods The study included 47 patients with AS and 50 age-matched healthy individuals.Conventional echocardiographic parameters were measures,and 3D Speckle tracking imaging of the peak systolic strain was recorded.Results Three-dimensional global longitudinal strain (3D-GLS) were significantly reduced in patients with AS compared to controls (P ＜ 0.01).Three-dimensional global circumferential strain (3D-GCS) were significantly increased (P ＜ 0.05).Three-dimensional global area strain (3D-GAS) and three-dimensional global radial strain (3D-GRS) were similar between two groups (P ＞0.05).Correlation analysis showed that |3D-GLS| was negatively correlated with left ventricular mass index (LVMI) (r =-0.59,P ＜0.05) irrespective of |3D-GAS|,|3D-GCS|,3D-GRS,and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).Conclusions Patients with AS have evidence of subclinical LV systolic dysfunction despite preserved EF％.3D speckle tracking appears is useful in detection of subclinical LV dysfunction in patients with AS.

Objective To explore the status of Cryptosporidium infection among injection drug abusers(IDUs) based on the purified recombinant CP23 protein antigen.Methods The serologic antibody response of Cryptosporidium infection was examined by indirect ELISA in the collected 588 serum episodes of IDUs and 384 cases of healthy persons. A series of [1,3]dioxolo[4,5-f]isoindolone derivatives were designed, synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors of acetylcholinesterases (AChE). Furthermore, their effects on memory impairment of mice induced by scopolamine were investigated with step-through test. The results suggested that most of the target compounds exhibited potential inhibition on AChE with IC50 values at micromolar range. Compounds I1 (IC50 value of 0.086 μmol · L(-1)) and I2 (IC50 value of 0.080 μmol · L(-1)) showed the strongest AChE inhibitory activity, which are equipotent to donepezil (IC50 value of 0.094 μmol · L(-1)). Moreover, compounds I1-I4 could improve the memory impairment induced by scopolamine in mice.

Objective To evaluate clinical outcome and complications of mesh-augmented vaginal reconstructive surgery in treatment of pelvic organ prolapse. Methods From Feb 2007 to Jan 2009, meshaugmented vaginal reconstructive surgery were performed on 66 women with pelvic organ prolapse stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ. Pre and postoperative symptoms, pelvic organ prolapse quantitation (POP-Q) stage and pelvic floor distress inventory-short form 20 (PFDI-20) measurements were studied to assess anatomic and quality-of-life outcome. Operative complications were also analyzed. Results Totally 65 patients underwent successful surgeries. The rate of follow-up was 97% (63/65) with a median follow-up of 17. 2 months. Subjective cure rate and objective cure rate were both 97% (61/63) at 6 and 12 months after surgeries, 51 women completed PFDI-20 measurements and scores were 102 ± 50 before surgery, 16 ± 21 at 6 months and 15 ± 20 at 12 months. It reached statistical difference when scores were compared before and after surgeries ( P ＜0. 05). Among 66 patients, 2 patients underwent organ injuries, 2 had recurrent prolapse, 4 had meshrelated complications and 1 had severe de novo stress urinary incontinence. Six patients underwent second surgery. Conclusions Mesh-augmented vaginal reconstructive surgery in treatment of pelvic organ prolapsed brought satisfied clinical outcome. The incidence of mesh-related complications was low and secondary operative interventions were effective.

Objective To explore the alteration of brain pain functional areas in patients with functional dyspepsia (FD) irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) overlap by rectal balloon volume stimulation and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the differences with IBS alone patients and healthy individuals were compared.Methods A total of 11 IBS alone patients,16 IBS overlapped with FD patients (IBS-FD) and 10 healthy controls were recruited.Sensory thresholds and visual analogue scale (VAS) were recorded during the rectal balloon air injection process. The changes of brain activated areas were analyzed by functional MRI (fMRI) when the rectum was stimulated at the volume of 50,100 and 150 ml.The data were analyzed by least significant difference (LSD) test.Results Under rectal volumetric stimulation,the sensory thresholds of IBS-FD group and IBS alone group were (53.14 ± 16.05) ml and (59.20 ± 20.55) ml and the difference was not statistically significant (LSD test,P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS score between IBS alone group and IBS-FD group (LSD test,P＞0.05).Rectal stimulated under different volume,the results of fMRI indicated the activation of anterior cingulated cortex, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex,postporietal cortex,thalamus and insular cortex in both IBS alone group and IBS-FD group.And there was no significant difference in activated areas and intensity between IBS alone group and IBS-FD group (LSD test,P＞0.05).Conclusions There was no significant difference in activations of brain areas between IBS alone and IBS-FD patients under rectal volumetric stimulation. Under rectal volumetric stimulation,although symptoms overlapped,there was no evidence of the overlap of braingut axis and visceral hypersensitivity between IBS alone and IBS-FD.

A series of novel 4-substituted-3-nitrobenzamide derivatives were designed and synthesized. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed with 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS and element analysis. Anti-tumor activities against HCT-116, MDA-MB435 and HL-60 cell lines in vitro were evaluated by SRB assay. The results indicated most of the target compounds exhibited potent anti-tumor activity. Compound 4a showed the most potent inhibitory activities against three cancer cell lines with the GI50 values of 1.904-2.111 micromol x L(-1). Compounds 4g, 41-4n exhibited more potent inhibitory activities against MDA-MB435 and HL-60 cell lines with the GI50 values of 1.008-3.586 micromol x L(-1) and 1.993-3.778 micromol x L(-1), respectively. The structure-activity relationship of these compounds is discussed preliminarily.

CONCLUSIONSA set of comprehensive juristic system for device labeling has been established by FDA. from which China should draw experience, to administrate the prescription devices and the over-the-counter devices in classification, and set up device labeling guidance, thus guarantee the safety and efficacy of device.
