2. Expression of Notch pathway in diabetic nephropathy rats and intervention effect of Chinese materia medica for dispersing blood stasis and dredging collateral
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2018;49(8):1866-1870
Objective To investigate the expression of Notch pathway in the kidney of diabetic nephropathy (DN) rats and the intervention effect of Chinese materia medica (CMM) for dispersing blood stasis and dredging collateral. Methods Sixty male Sprague-Dawley rats, in which ten rats were randomly selected as control group (n = 10), and the other rats were fed with high glucose and high fat diet combined with low-dose streptozotocin (STZ) ip injection as DN models. The model rats were randomly divided into model group, irbesartan group, and Huayu Tongluo Granles (HTG) group. The rats in each group were ig administered with corresponding drugs. At the end of the 16 weeks, the 24 h urinary protein was detected. The expression of Notch1, Jagged1, and Hey1 mRNA and protein in renal tissue was detected by real-time PCR, and immunohistochemical staining and western blotting assay, respectively. Results Compared with the control group, 24 h urinary protein, the mRNA and protein expression of Notch1, Jagged1, and Hey1 in model group was significantly increased (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, 24 h urinary protein and Notch1, Jagged1, Hey1 mRNA, and protein expression of HTG group and irbesartan group was significantly decreased (P < 0.01). Conclusion CMM for dispersing blood stasis and dredging collateral can reduce 24 h urinary protein in DN rats and inhibit the high expression of Notch1, Jagged1, and Hey1 in the kidney tissue of DN rats, which may be one of the main ways to reduce proteinuria excretion.

Thromboembolic diseases are major health problems worldwide, and remain the leading cause of mortality and disabil-ity at present.Bleeding is the most important complication of an-tithrombotic therapy for thromboembolism, therefore research and development of new antithrombotic drugs with lowered bleeding risk is a significant medical need. The data that elevated plasma levels of FXI are associated with thromboembolic diseases,se-vere FXI deficiency reduced incidence of DVT and ischemic stroke, and FXI deficiency or inhibition in animals shows protec-tive effects against thrombus formation supporting FXI as a novel antithrombotic target with lowered bleeding risk. This paper re-views the progress on FXI as a novel antithrombotic target and the inhibitors target FXI.

Objective To explore the changes of expression levels of 12S rRNA and cytochrome oxidase subunit Ⅰ (COXⅠ) mRNA encoded by mtDNA in rat cerebral cortex after rat exposure to hypobaric hypoxia for different days. Methods Healthy male Wistar rats were exposed to hypobaric chamber simulating 5 000 m above sea level (23 5 h/day) for 2, 5, 15 and 30 d. Rats in the control group were not exposed to hypoxia. Rats were sacrificed by decapitation. Total RNA in cerebral cortex was extracted using a standard program. Transcriptional levels of 12S rRNA and COXⅠ mRNA were determined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR). Results Compared with that in the control, the expression of 12S rRNA increased by 57% after hypoxic exposure for 2 d ( P 0 05). Compared with that in the control group, the expression of COXⅠ mRNA increased significantly by 55% and 106% after hypoxic exposure for 2 and 5 d ( P 0 05). Conclusion Hypoxic exposure may have effect on both protein gene and ribosome gene expression encoded by mtDNA, and the expression changes in a hypoxic exposure time dependent manner. This suggests that hypoxia can have effect on mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation gene expression at both mitochondrial transcriptional and translational levels.

Objective To investigate the safety and feasibility of robot-assisted laparoscopic right hemicolectomy for colonic cancer. Methods These 5 patients with ascending colonic cancer received robot-assisted laparoscopic right hemicolectomy. Results All operations were performed successfully. There was no postoperative complications. Da Vinci surgical system was found to be associated with fewer hemorrhage, rapid postoperative intestinal recovery, and therefore a shorter hospital stay. Conclusions Robot-assisted laparoscopic right hemicolectomy can be applied safely and with feasibility for colonic cancer.

Objective To improve the quality standard of Anti- virus Oral Liquid. Methods Rhizoma Anemarrhenae and Rhizoma Acori tatrinowii in Anti- virus Oral Liquid were identified by TLC. Forsythin in Fructus Forsythiae was determined by HPLC. Results Rhizoma Anemarrhenae and Rhizoma Acori tatrinowii can be identified by TCL. The linearity of forsythin in the range of 0.1~ 0.6 ? g/? L was good, r=0.9998. The average recovery is 99.87 % , RSD=1.93 % . Conclusion The methods is accurate, reliable and specific and can be used for the quality control of Anti- virus Oral Liquid.

Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(11):844-847
The canonical Wnt signaling pathway has been the hot spot in the signaling pathway studies which are related to ovary carcinogenesis in recent years, whose activation may induce the multiplication and self-renewal,survival and metastasis of ovarian cancer stem cells. The target gene mutations of key members in the canonical Wnt pathway and abnormal expresses of negative regulation molecules are closely associated with the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer.Deeply investigating the regulative mechanisms of canonical Wnt signaling pathway in ovarian cancer, and taking this as the therapeutic target to conduct the basic research and preclinical experiment may provide theoretical basis for treating better ovarian cancer patients in clinical practice.

Objective:To compare liver adhesive suspension method and V-shaped liver suspension of anterior abdominal wall in laparoscopic radical gastrectomy. Methods:This study retrospectively evaluated 115 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical gastrectomy from Jan 2018 to Dec 2019 at Shanxi Provincial People′s Hospital, 59 cases were under liver adhesive suspension (study group) and 56 cases under V-shaped liver suspension of anterior abdominal wall (control group). Intraoperative and postoperative conditions were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:All the 115 cases successfully completed surgery. The liver suspension time in study group was (2.4±0.5)min, which was significantly shorter than that of the control group((12.5±2.6) min)( t=-28.100, P<0.01). The total operation time in was (284±69) min and (307±78) min, respectively, ( t=-1.656, P=0.10). There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in preoperative ALT, AST, total bilirubin, intraoperative incidence of hepatic lacerations and subcapsular hematoma, postoperative total bilirubin level, AST on the day 7 postoperatively, tumor location, TNM staging, surgical method, postoperative duration of hospital stay, and VAS score ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Both methods of liver suspension are safe and feasible in laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer.Compared with V-shaped liver suspension of anterior abdominal wall, liver adhesive suspension has the advantages of less invasive, safe, and time-saving.
