Journal of Chinese Physician 2015;(z2):24-27
Objective To investigate the characteristics of risk factors and coronary angiography (CAG)in young patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods A total of 36 consecutive AMI female patients (age≤44 years)who underwent coronary angiography were retrospectively retrieved from the database, and 90 AMI patients whose age >44 years who also underwent coronary angiography were enrolled as a control (elderly)group.Characteristics of risk factors and coronary angiography were com-pared between the two groups. Results The risk factors:BMI,family history of coronary heart disease and high triglycerides(TG)were major in the youth group. The percentage of single-branch lesion was lower in the young patients. The prevalence of left anterior descending (LAD)was higher in the young patients(P <0.05).Conclusions The main risk factors in young and elderly patients are significantly different. The out-comes of CAG in the young patients show the coronary lesion are mostly single vessel lesion, and early inter-vention may improve prognosis.
2.Role of Helicobacter pylori Eradication in Diarrhea-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2017;22(8):482-485
Background:Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)is a commonly seen functional intestinal disorder. The association between Helicobacter pylori (Hp)infection and IBS is not clarified yet. Aims:To investigate the role of Hp eradication in diarrhea-predominant IBS (IBS-D)and the relationship between Hp infection and IBS-D. Methods:A total of 335 IBS-D patients and 335 health examination subjects were recruited from Jan. 2009 to Dec. 2015 at Transportation Center Hospital of Yunnan Province and People's Hospital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. All IBS-D patients were hospitalized patients and fulfilled the Rome Ⅲ criteria. Positive for both rapid urease test and 14 C-urea breath test was defined as Hp infection. Hp-positive IBS-D patients recruited in 2005 received Hp eradication therapy and were allocated into two groups according to the results of eradication therapy. Pinaverium bromide and montmorillonite powder were given in both groups and the clinical efficacy for IBS symptoms was assessed after treatment and followed up for 6 months. Results:The Hp infection rate of IBS-D patients was significantly higher than that in healthy controls (53. 7% vs. 41. 8%,P < 0. 05). In IBS-D patients received Hp eradication therapy,51 were allocated into eradicated group and 26 into non-eradicated group. No significant differences were observed in individual symptoms including abdominal pain/discomfort,bloating and stool frequency and the overall efficacy for global symptoms (68. 6% vs. 65. 4%)between the two groups (P > 0. 05). After a 6-month follow up,the differences were still insignificant (P > 0. 05). Conclusions:Hp infection is more prevalent in IBS-D patients than in general population, however, eradication of Hp has no impact on IBS symptoms. The association between Hp infection and IBS-D needs further study.

Objective To explore the mechanism of immunologic injury in patients with Tourette's syndrome(TS). Methods The serum level of anti-brain antibody ( ABAb) , antinuclear antibody ( ANAb) , soluble IL-6 receptor (sIL-6R) and soluble gpl30(sgp130) in patients with TS were analyzed by commercially available ELISA kits, and the titer of anti-streptolysin O ( ASO) in TS and in control was examined with latex enhanced immunoturbidimetry. Results The level of sIL-6R and sgpl30 was significantly elevated in TS compared with control group [(44. 1 ± 15.8)ng/mL vs (30. 3 ± 9. 0) ng/mL and (69. 0 ±24. 6)ng/mL vs (47. 3 ±14. l)ng/mL,P <0. 01 respectively]. ASO titer(250 U/mL) was found higher in TS than that in control(P <0. 01). The positive rates of anti-brain an-tibody and antinuclear antibody in TS were higher than that in control group (66% vs 4% and 53% vs 25% , P <0. 01 respectively). The level of ABAb negatively correlated with sgpl30 concentration( r = 0. 375, P <0. 05 ). Conclusion IL-6 signal transduction might be involved in Tourette's syndrome to lead the function enhancementand start cascade of feedback inhibition, because of elevated levels of slL-6R, sgp130, ANAb and ABAb in serum.Autoimmune-related injuries may potentially explain the pathogenesis of the disease.
