ObjectiveTo study the efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with surgical resection in the treatment of ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).MethodsThe clinical data of 26 patients who presented with ruptured HCC to our hospital from January 2008 to December 2011 were retrospectively studied. These patients received TACE (n=19),surgical resection (n=7),and surgical resection after TACE (n=8).ResultsShock in the 19 patients who received TACE was promptly corrected and the vital signs were stabilized. On subsequent CT,the tumors shrunk in size.Salvage liver resection was carried out in 8 patients 1 month after TACE.After treatment,AFP decreased or became normalized, thus the treatment results were good. A one-stage liver resection was carried out in 7 patients. One patient died after operation and peritoneal metastases occurred in 4 patients. Conclusions TACE stopped bleeding from ruptured HCC efficaciously, reduced the need for open exploration, and improved the rate of resection of HCC.TACE combined with surgical resection significantly lowered the rate of abdominal tumor metastases.

Objective To study the burden of main earegivers of patients with stroke and its influ-encing factors, besides, the corresponding nursing countermeasures were disucssed. Methods 56 main caregivers of stroke families were selected to complete caregiver burden inventory (CBI). Results The general level of burden of main caregivers was in the moderate level with score value (1.55±0.35),factors influencing the burden of caregivers included ADL index, number of caregivers who involved in nursing and hospitalization times. Conclusions Nurses should educate the stroke patients about their rehabilitation systematically to decrease the severity of stroke sequela and readmission times, besides, they should strengthen their family support to reduce the burden of caregivers and increase their health status both physically and psychologically.

Objective To study the immune responses of Th1 and Th2 subsets of T cells in 26 children with mycoplasma pneumo-niae pneumonia(MPP).Methods ELISA was used to detect the levels of interferon- ?( IFN- ?) and interleukin-4(IL-4) in the serum in 12 healthy children as normal controls and 26 patients of acute stage as acute stage MPP group, 9 of whom in recovery stage were as recovery stage MPP group. Results IFN - ? level in acute stage MPP group was significant higher than that in normal controls (P 0.05); and IFN - 7/IL - 4 ratio was significant higher than that in normal controls( P0.05).Conclusion Thl responses increase and Th2 responses decrease in children with MPP,and this kind of response persists during the recovery stage.

Objective To explore the changes of interleukin-10(IL-10) and transforming growth factor-beta 1(TGF-?1)in 26 children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect the levels of IL-10 and TGF-?1 in the serum of 12 healthy children as normal controls and 26 patients of acute stage as acute stage MPP group,9 of acute stage MPP group in recovery stage as recovery stage MPP group. The levels of IL-10 and TGF-?1 were compared between the three groups. Results IL-10 level in acute stage MPP group was significantly lower than that in normal controls(P

ObjectiveTo explore the correlations of simple bladder capacity measurement and urodynamic examination used for assessing the bladder function of patients with spinal cord injury. Methods From December 2011 to September 2013,a total of 37 patients with spinal cord injury were recruited.Their bladder functions were examined by both simple bladder capacity measurement and urodynamics in the first week after admission. The type of neurogenic bladder, residue urine, bladder capacity and the changes of bladder pressure were documented and compared. Results The simple bladder capacity measurement and urodynamics showed no significant differences in the parameters including residual urine, and bladder pressures when inputting 50mL,100mL,300mL and 400mL water(P>0.05). But there were significant differences in the results of bladder capacity and bladder pressure when inputting 200mL water(P<0.05). The intra-class coefficients between the results by the two methods were 0.606~0.919(P<0.01).The Kappa coefficient of the health professionals’judgments according to the two methods was 0.825(P<0.001).Conclusions The results of simple bladder capacity measurement are reliable. It can be used as the supplement for urodynamics to monitor the bladder function of patients with spinal cord injury.

Objective To know the indication for patients with spinal cord injury during the course of intermittent urethral catheterization. Methods Divided 33 patients with spinal cord injury into the experimental group(18 cases)and control group(15 cases)randomly. The indication of beginning in the experiment group was less than 500 ml transfusion per day, without press ulcer, more than 150 ml bladder capacity. The indication in the control group was>28 cm H2O pressure of bladder.Compared the effects between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of infection in the experiment group was lower than control group, all the indexes of uretharal catheterization were better in the experiment group than those of in the control group. Conclusions The indication of less than 500ml transfusion per day, without press ulcer, more than 150 ml bladder capacity are proper.

Journal of Clinical Urology 2000;15(10):460-462
Purpose :To study the effect of bFGF on the idiopathic oligoasthenospermia. Methods:bFGF wasused for 34 patients with idiopathic oligoasthenospermia in the male infertility. The immunohistochemical tech-nique, radioimmunoassay, electromicroscope technique and semen quality analysis were used to investigate thestructure and function of testile of patients. Results: bFGF could promote the proliferation of spermatogenouscells, improve arrangement of cells and ultrastructure of testile. All patients semen were improved. Sexual hor-mones (PRL, FSH, LH, T) in serum araised. The ability of reproduction of patients was increased consequent-ly. Conclusions:bFGF is an effective drug for patients with idiopathic oligoasthenospermia in the male infertility.

Objective To investigate the possibility of hair follicle reformation induced by hair follicle bulb cells implanted into collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds in vivo, and to observe the angiogenesis in implanted scaffolds. Methods Hair follicle bulb cells obtained by enzyme digestion from the hack skin of C57BL/6J mice were implanted into collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds followed by 2-week organotypie culture. Then, these collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds were transplanted subcutaneously into the dorsal skin of nude mice. Those nude mice transplanted with empty collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds served as the controls. The growth of hair was observed with naked eyes.Six weeks after the transplantation, skin samples were obtained from the recipient site and subjected to histological examination. Results Five weeks after the transplantation, hair growth was observed in the dorsal skin of nude mice.Six weeks later, histological examination revealed fully differentiated hair follicles and vessel-like structures in the center of collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds. However, the transplantation with empty collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds failed to elicit the same response. No hair or follicles were observed in the control mice alpng with small number of vessel-1ike structures.Con-clusions Hair follicle bulb ceils implanted into collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds in vivo could induce hair follicle reformation and promote the formation of vessel-like structure in the scafffold center.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral nerve injury in the earthquake.
METHODSFourteen patients with peripheral nerve injury injured in the earthquake were involved the retrospective study. All cases accepted the timely diagnosis and treatment including anastomosis and repair of the nerve and other conservative treatments. Then the therapeutic effects were observed.
RESULTSAll 14 patients got short-term follow-up and attained the improvement in their symptoms of nerve injury.
CONCLUSIONPeripheral nerve injury has a high incidence in the earthquake. Prevention is very important. The timely and effective treatment should be taken according to spot situations and traumatic conditions of casualties in earthquake.
