2.Application of the cervical back muscle trainer in the cervical back muscle exercise
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(5):445-446
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of a cervical back muscle trainer. MethodsA cervical back muscle trainer designed by ourself was used in 128 patients with different kinds of cervical spondylosis. The situation of pain and activity of daily life of the patients before and 1 month after treatment were recorded and compared. ResultsThe neck pain of all of the patients nearly completely disappeared in a month and their activity of daily life improved significantly(P<0.01). ConclusionThe cervical back muscle trainer can improve the stability of cervical vertebrae through increasing the strength of the cervical back muscle, which can be used as an assistant rehabilitation approach of all kinds of cervical spondylosis.
3.Quantized Study of Thoracic Vertebra with Different Rotational Degrees
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2008;14(12):1187-1189
Objective To probe into the quantizing rule of the thoracic vertebra rotation.Methods6 healthy corpses specimen were fixed on a wooden apparatus and rotated from 0° to 90° for X-ray examination.A X-ray examination was taken at each 5° rotational point. The characteristic of the image at each examinational point was observed.ResultsThere was radiology characteristic at each rotational point.ConclusionThe thoracic vertebra rotational degree could be quantized by X-ray examinations.

Objective To investigate influence of hyperlipidemia in parents on plasma lipid level, blood pressure, body mass index(BMI) and waist circumference(WC)of their children. Methods Eighty children whose parents had been with hyperlipidemia(Group A) and 893 children whose parents had been normal plasma lipid levels(Group B) were studied.BMI,systolic pressure(SP),diastolic pressure(DP),WC,plasma triglyceride(TG),cholesterol(CH),high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-c),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-c)of two groups were measured and compared. Results The levels of BMI,TG,TCH,LDL-c,SP,and DP had a increasing trend in group A compared to those of group B.HDL-c in group A had a decreasing trend compared to that of group B.But only the increase of BMI is significant(P

Objective:To analyze the current situation of sulfur dioxide residues in Chinese herb pieces through determining the residues in Chinese herb pieces purchased by our hospital to provide the information for the quality control of Chinese herb pieces in our hospital and ensure the clinical medication safety. Methods:The methods for the detection of sulfur dioxide residues described in Chi-nese Pharmacopoeia 2010 edition and the relative literatures were adopted. Totally 100 batches of Chinese herb pieces were selected randomly from the storage waiting products, including 10 categories of 36 batches with the limitation of 400 mg·kg-1 and the other categories of 64 batches with the limitation of 150 mg·kg-1 . Results: The sulfur dioxide residues in 14 batches were out of limits, and among them, 7 batches were over 400 mg·kg-1 and the other 7 ones were over 150 mg·kg-1 . The unqualified rate was 19. 4%and 10. 9% for the samples with the limitation of 400 mg·kg-1 and 150 mg·kg-1 , respectively. Conclusion:The detection method is simple, reproducible and rapid in determining sulfur dioxide residues in Chinese herb pieces. The exceeding standard situation of sulfur dioxide residues in Chinese herb pieces is serious, and the management on Chinese herb medicines with sulphur fumigation should be strengthened by manufacturers. Hospitals should implement the determination of sulfur dioxide residues before storage to en-sure drug safety.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1986;0(01):-
Objective To examine the expression of typeⅠcollagen in pulmonary arteries of rats with monocrotaline(MCT)-induced pulmonary hypertension(PH) and explore the mechanism of pulmonary vascular structural remodeling. Methods Twelve male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: the MCT group(n=6) and the control group(n=6),which received a single intraperitoneal injection of MCT solution(60 mg?kg-1,the first day) or 9 g?L-1saline,respectively.After 3 weeks, mean of pulmonary artery pressure(mPAP),the value of right ventricle/(left ventricle plus septum)[RV/(LV+S)] and body weight were measured.Lung sections(HE stained) were observed under lightmicroscope for changes of the pulmonary arteries. The protein expression of typeⅠcollagen in pulmonary arteries was detected by immunohistochemical technique. Results Three weeks after MCT injection, compared with control group,mPAP and RV/(LV+S) increased significantly in MCT group[mPAP:(10.60?2.06) mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) vs(32.40?3.24) mmHg,P

Objective To examine the expression of Toll-like receptor(TLR)4 protein and the transcription of TLR4 mRNA in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)from patients with hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection and explore the relationship between TLR4 and chronic HBV infec- tion. Methods The expression level and transcription level of TLR4 were determined by flow cytometre and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction respectively in PBMC from 37 chronic hepatitis patients,28 liver cirrhosis patients,31 severe hepatitis patients and 27 healthy controls. Meanwhile, liver function,as well as blood routine test, prothrombin test activity(PTA)and HBV DNA was measured. Results The expression level and transcription level of TLR4 in patients were higher than those in healthy controls(P
