3.The effect of rhEPO on the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 in intestinal tract of newborn rats with necrotizing enterocolitis
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2015;(2):179-183
Objectives To investigate the effect of rhEPO on newborn rats with necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Meth-ods Sixty newborn Sprague-Dewley (SD) rats at the age of 48 hours were randomly divided into 5 groups:control group, NEC group, and intervention groups 1, 2 and 3 treated with rhEPO. The rats were fed rat breast milk substitutes and stressed under hypoxia and cold exposure to establish NEC model. The rats with NEC were treated with different doses of rhEPO (0.1U/ml, 1U/ml and 10U/ml) in intervention groups. The expression of Bcl-2 and caspase-3 were measured by immunohistochemistry, and intestinal pathological changes were observed using HE staining. The value of positive expression was analyzed by IOD (integral optical density) image analysis system. Results Abdominal distention, decreased activity and unresponsiveness occurred in NEC rats 24 hours after stress exposure, and pale skin, decreased skin temperature and respiratory rhythm change were observed in severe cases. The symptoms appeared later and milder in three intervention groups. The NEC incidence of newborn rats was as followings:control group(0%), model group(60%), intervention group 1( 30%), intervention group 2(18.2%), intervention group 3(9.1%) and the difference was signiifcant between each group (P=0.008). The grades of intestinal injury, the expression of active caspase-3 and Bcl-2 were signiifcantly different among groups (P<0.01). Intestinal injury was the most severe and the expression level of active caspase-3 was the highest in NEC group. After rhEPO treatment, the intestinal injury and the production of active caspase-3 protein were decreased, and the expression of Bcl-2 was increased. Conclusions Oral rhEPO could decrease the ex-pression of intestinal active caspase 3, and increase the expression of Bcl-2. The protective effect of rhEPO on NEC is dosede-pendent.
4.Maspin gene and the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(3):209-211
The maspin gene,a tumor suppressor gene and a member of the serpin superfamily,is isolated from mammary epithelial cells.Maspin gene plays an important role in the process of invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer.Researches show that maspin gene suppresses the occurrence, development and metastasis of gastric cancer mainly by inducing tumor cell apoptosis, inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, methylation modification, promoting homogeneity adhesion and inhibiting heterogeneous adhesion.
5.The relationship of gap junction with the bystander effect in the HSV-TK/GCV treatment
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(01):-
The bystander effect(BE) plays an important role in the gene therapy of cancer by the herpes thymidine kinase/ganciclovir(HSV-TK/GCV) system. It enhances the therapeutic efficacy of this system.Up to now,the exact underlying mechanism of the bystander effect remains unclear.A large body of evidence has indicated a close correlation of the connexin expression and gap junction in the targeted cells to the bystander effect. Here the publications concerning the relationship of gap junction with the bystander effect in the HSV-TK/GCV treatment have been reviewed. The possible cell death signals that can be transferred through gap junction to induce the bystander effect are also discussed.
6.The use on curative effect of Chinese medicine Qingyitang in severe acute pancreatitis
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(01):-
Objective To study the use on curative effect of Chinese medicine Qingyitang in severe acute pancreatitis. Methods 132 cases of severe acute pancreatitis were randomly divided into 2 groups,The control group(n=62) and the treatment group(n=70).Routine treatment were given in both, otherwise, the Chinese medicine Qingyitang was used in the treatment group. The operation rate, the infection rate, the time of abdominal distension removing and fasting and being hospitalized were observed and compared between two groups. Results Every index of the treatment group was finer than the control group. Conclusions The Chinese medicine Qingyitang showes their protective effects on gut barrier function by alleviating the damage of intestinal mucosa and microecologic disturbance following acute pancreatitis. As a result, the chances of bacterial translocation and enterogenic infection declines. These preparation might raise the treatment effects,as a well, shorten the course of treatment.
7.A clinicopathological analysis of gastric lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the methods of preoperation diagnosis and treatment of primary gastric lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT).Methods To analyze retrospectively the diagnosis and treatment of 54 cases of MALT lymphoma diagnosed surgically and pathologically. Results The most common symptoms were stomachache or discomfort.Of the patients with MALT lymphoma,85.2%(46/54)cases were diagnosed by preoperation gastroscopy with biopsy.Helicobacter pylori was found in 48 cases(88.9%).The overall resection rate for MALT lymphoma was 87%(47/54).The 5-year and 10-year survival were 77.1% and 72.9%,respectively.Conclusions It is obvious that MALT lymphoma is associated with Helicobacter pylori.Since no specific symptoms in gastric MALT lymphoma, the preoperative diagnosis is relied upon the application of gastrointestinal image, gastroscopy and repeated biopsy. The use of curative resection with the post-operative chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy to treat MALT lymphoma is reasonable.
8.Tensor Feature Extraction Using Multi-linear Principal Component Analysis for Brain Computer Interface.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(3):526-530
The brain computer interface (BCI) can be used to control external devices directly through electroencephalogram (EEG) information. A multi-linear principal component analysis (MPCA) framework was used for the limitations of tensor form of multichannel EEG signals processing based on traditional principal component analysis (PCA) and two-dimensional principal component analysis (2DPCA). Based on MPCA, we used the projection of tensor-matrix to achieve the goal of dimensionality reduction and features exaction. Then we used the Fisher linear classifier to classify the features. Furthermore, we used this novel method on the BCI competition II dataset 4 and BCI competition N dataset 3 in the experiment. The second-order tensor representation of time-space EEG data and the third-order tensor representation of time-space-frequency BEG data were used. The best results that were superior to those from other dimensionality reduction methods were obtained by much debugging on parameter P and testQ. For two-order tensor, the highest accuracy rates could be achieved as 81.0% and 40.1%, and for three-order tensor, the highest accuracy rates were 76.0% and 43.5%, respectively.

9.Differential Expression of Ryanodine Receptors in the Developing Rat Cochlea
Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 2009;17(4):358-362
Objective Ryanodine receptor (RyR) is one of the Ca2+ release channels on the intracellular Ca2+ stores. RyR induced-Ca2+ release is activated by the voltage-dependent Ca2+ entry, that is, calcium-induced calcium release (CICR). Intracellular free Ca2+ concentration (ECa2+]i) plays a key role on cochlear function. Our study is to investigate the differential expression of RyR in the developing rat cochlea, and to analyze the relationship between the expression of RyR and auditory functional development. Methods Immature SD rats, which were 1 day (P1), 5 days (P5), 10 days (P10), 14 days (P14), 28 days (P28) after parturition, and adutl rats(5 rats for each age) were included in the study. Frozen cochlea sectioning and immunofluorescence were applied to observe the differential expression of RyR. Results The RyR expression in the Corti's organ increased during the cochlear development. It's not significant that the stain was observed on the hair cells and supporting cells in the Corti's organ of P1 and P5 rats. The appearance of the Corti's organ of P10 rats trended to maturity. In P14 rats the RyR expression on hair cells located in the synaptic area against the afferent or efferent nerve, and the strain on supporting cells was extensive. There was little different between the strain on cochlea of P14 and P28 rats. In postmature rat spiral ganglion neurons (SGN), the RyR expression verged gradually from extensive whole cell soma to the synaptic area near to the plasma membrane. Conclusion The RyR expression peaked the 14th day after parturition, which was close to that in the mature cochlea. The time course of the RyR expression during the cochlear development was coincident with that of the auditory functional development. The RyR expression on both hair cells and SGNs located in the synaptic area near to the plasmolemma, implying that RyR induced-CICR was related to the auditory functions such as neurotransmission. Extensive RyR expression in the soma of SGNs at the early stage possibly involved in apoptosis of SGNs during neuron development.
10.The relationship between AIF and apoptosis and the research of treatment of colorectal cancer related to AIF
International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(11):753-756
Numerous pro-apoptotic signal transducing molecules act on mitochondria and provoke the permeabilization of the outer mitochondrial membrane, thereby triggering the release of pro-apoptotic proteins potentially. One of them is much important, which called apoptosis inducing factor(AIF).Upon lethal signaling,AIF released from mitochondria, which translocates, via the cytosol to the nucleus, where it binds to DNA and provokes Caspase-independent chromatin condensation and leading to apoptosis. It has been found gradually that AIF has impotant effect in some malignant cancer cells(such as colorectal carcinoma cell), especially its regulation effect in cell death.Recently some of researches indicate that inducing cell apoptosis by effecting on the releasing or expressing of AIF, has been a new research direction of colorectal carcinoma therapy.
