5.The relationship between allergic, non-allergic rhinitis and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome
Tianjin Medical Journal 2015;(9):1015-1017,1018
Objective To investigate the relationship between allergic rhinitis (AR), non-allergic rhinitis (NAR) and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). Methods Forty-eight patients with AR symptoms and snoring symptoms for at least 2 years, who received treatment in our outpatient, were included in this study. Skin prick test, serum specific IgE, polysomnography (PSG), acoustic rhinometry, nasal resistance (RM), Müller's test (FPMM) and Epworth sleepi?ness scale (ESS) were performed in patients. Results There were 25 AR patients (AR group) and 23 NAR cases (NAR group). ESS>9 scores were found in 19 patients, including 15 NAR cases and 4 AR cases. There was higher incidence of drowsiness in NAR group than that of AR group (P<0.05). Results of PSG showed that there were significantly higher proportions of apnea, poor sleep quality, AHI index, and lower values of the lowest oxygen saturation (LSpO2) and mean oxygen saturation (ASpO2) in NAR group than those of AR group (P<0.05). The incidence of OSAHS was significantly higher in NAR group than that of AR group (82.6%vs 36.0%, P<0.05). Conclusion Both AR and NAR were risk factors for OSAHS, and both can induce sleep disorders. NAR patients were more likely to result in OSAHS, and showing higher disease severity. NAR may have an important role in the initiation of OSAHS.
6.Diagnostic value of D-D and coagulation indices detection in cerebral apoplexy
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;37(17):2387-2388,2391
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of D‐D and coagulation indices detection in cerebral apoplexy to provide the diagnostic basis for clinic .Methods Sixty patients with cerebral apoplexy in our hospital were selected and divided into the is‐chemic cerebral apoplexy group(observation group 1 ,40 cases) and hemorrhagic cerebral apoplexy group(observation group 2 ,20 cases) ,at the same time 60 individuals undergoing the physical examination in our hospital were selected as the control group .The blood coagulation instrument was adopted to detect D‐D ,PT ,APTT ,FIB and AT‐Ⅲ .Results Compared with the control group , the D‐D and FIB levels in the observation group 1 and 2 were obviously increased ,APTT was obviously extended and the AT‐Ⅲlevel was obviously reduced ,the differences between them had statistical significance(P<0 .05);the detection indices had no statis‐tical differences between the observation group 1 and 2(P>0 .05) .D‐D ,APTT and FIB were positively correlated with cerebral ap‐oplexy(r=0 .422 ,0 .138 ,0 .171 ,P<0 .05) .Conclusion The detection of D‐D ,APTT and FIB has the diagnostic value in diagno‐sing cerebral apoplexy ,especially the clinical significance of D‐D is more significant .

International Eye Science 2017;17(8):1423-1426
AIM: To observe the effect of curcumin on the retinal structure and the expressions of interleukin-23 (IL-23) and interleukin-17(IL-17) in the rat retina after retinal ischemia-reperfusion injury (RIRI).METHODS:A total of 60 male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into normal control group(NCG),model group(MG),low-dose curcumin group (LDCG) and high-dose curcumin group (HDCG) (n=15 per group).RIRI was generated by anterior chamber perfusion of normal saline to the right eye.Rats in LDCG and HDCG received an intraperitoneal injection of 20mg/kg/d and 100mg/kg/d curcumin respectively,at 30min before RIRI and once daily after RIRI.Retinal structure and inflammation were evaluated after hematoxylin and eosin-stained (HE) staining.Western-blot and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were used to measure the level of IL-23 and IL-17 expressions after RIRI.RESULTS: The retinal structure of NCG was normal.Retinal edema, empty spaces or loosely packed cells and inflammatory cell infiltration were observed in MG and LDCG groups, whereas the morphological changes in HDCG group were improved as compared to MG and LDCG groups.Western-blot assay and ELISA showed that IL-23 and IL-17 expressions increased significantly after RIRI (vs NCG,P<0.01).Moreover,curcumin reduced IL-23 and IL-17 expressions significantly (vs MG,P<0.01).CONCLUSION: Curcumin can inhibit leukocytes infiltration and improve the retinal pathologic changes.Furthermore, curcumin can reduce retinal IL-23 and IL-17 expressions significantly in a dose-dependent manner.
8.Melatonin regulates ovarian function: an update.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(6):548-553
Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine, MT) is a hormone synthesized and secreted by the pineal gland. Recent studies show that melatonin plays an essential role in the pathogenesis of many reproductive processes. High-concentration melatonin exists in human preovulatory follicular fluid and melatonin receptors are present in ovarian granulosa cells, which indicates the direct effects of melatonin on ovarian function. Reactive oxygen species are involved in a number of reproductive events, including folliculogenesis, follicular atresia, ovulation, oocyte maturation, and corpus luteum formation. Melatonin and its metabolites, as powerful antioxidants and free radical scavengers, can potentially inhibit premature ovarian failure. Literature published in recent years shows the essential roles of melatonin in improving human ovarian function and oocyte quality as well as in the management of infertility. Researches on the action mechanisms of melatonin may provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of some clinical diseases.

10.Study on synthesis and adsorption kinetics of Ganoderma lucidum Polysaccharide-Fe(Ⅲ) complex
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(2):40-42
Objective To confirm the synthesis conditions of Ganoderma lucidum Polysaccharide-Fe (Ⅲ) Complex, and study on adsorption kinetics of it.Methods Adopt alcohol sedimenting technique and decoloring, dialysis, etc, extracting refined polysaccharide from Ganoderma lucidum. The solution of the Polysaccharide with FeCl3 react in alkaline conditions. To synthesize the polysaccharide iron complexes(GPC).The iron contents were determined by o-phenanthroline spectrophotography and and study on adsorption kinetics of Ganoderma lucidum Polysaccharide-Fe (Ⅲ) Complex. Results GPC is red brown and shapeless powder,it's liable to dissove in water, its solution is neutral, without precipitation, dissociation and Fe3 +at the pH from 3 to 12,and insoluble in organic solvents. So GPC is very stable. At the same time under different temperatures, the Fe3 + and polysaccharide on the adsorption quantity of increased gradually over time, the basic stability after 1.5 h.At the same time, with different temperatures the adsorption quantity of polysaccharide Fe3 + increases with the rise of temperature. Conclusion GPC may become a new ideal oral iron.Time and temperature are the key fabrication processes of GPC.
