Objective To set up care service quality evaluation indicators and establish weight coefficient for assessment of elderly institution in Chongqing.Methods SEVQUAL Model was used as the theoretical guidance,through Delphi expert inquiry,analytic hierarchy process (AHP),the weight of each indicator in five grades and consistency check was calculated.Results The care serv ice quality evaluation indicators contained five first-grade indexes and twenty second-grade indexes.The first-grade indexes included tangibles,reliability,responsiveness,assurance,empathy,respectively.The results of the consisten-cy check of the single grade sorts had a satisfying consistency(CR＜0.10).Conclusions The scientific meth-ods and comprehensive indicators were applied to the construction of care service quality e-valuation indicators for elderly institution in Chongqing.In some degree,this construction of indicators may improve quality of care service and provide useful reference evidence for quality assessment in elderly in-stitution.

Objective To investigate the nutrition support during stress response period after tumor ex-tirpation in middle-aged and elderly patients with oral and maxillofacial tumors. Methods Sixty patients who had undergone maxillofacial tumor extirpation were randomly divided into nutrition therapy group (n = 35) and control group ( n = 25 ). Patients in nutrition therapy group received enteral nutritional treatment, while patients in control group fed themselves. The nutritional status of the two groups before operations were evaluated with Concise Nutritional Assessment Indicators of human body measurement and biochemistry were used to evaluate the nutritional conditions. The incidence of post-operational complications and recovery time ( from the operation to discharge) were analyzed. Results The weight and arm muscle circumference in the nutrition therapy group significantly decreased after operations (P <0. 05). However, in the control group, all the nutritional indica-tors except the total lymphocyte count were significantly lower than the baseline levels after operations (P < 0. 05 ) ; particularly, of the average body weight decreased by about 6 kg. The incidence of complications in the nutrition therapy group was significantly lower than that in control group (5. 7% vs. 12. 0% , P <0. 05). The recovery time was significantly longer in the control group than that in the nutrition therapy group [ (28. 62± 2.38) vs. (22. 76± 3. 24) d, P < 0. 01 ]. Conclusion The nutritional support during the stress response period can satisfy the demands of high catabolism after maxillofacial tumor extirpation operation in middle-aged and elderly patients.

Objective To investigate the recognition of graded nursing and its influencing factors among nursing assistants in elder homes.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 116 nursing assistants.Results The nursing assistants showed insufficient recognition of graded nursing,there were significant differences in role cognition,operation and practice training,salary,and the nursing workload,there were no significant differences in working years and educational levels.Conclusions The recognition of graded nursing was insufficient.It is suggested to increase the role cognition education,enhance the theory and practice training,provide higher salaries and allocate workload reasonably to ensure the implementation of graded nursing and increase the satisfaction level of the elderly.

Background The recurrent rate of retinal detachment is much higher after silicone oil removal in high myopia with macular hole.How reduce the recurrence is a hot topic.Whether optical coherence tomography (OCT)-assisted examination is helpful for the improvement of surgery successful rate is in clinical observation ObjectiveThis study was to observe macular retinal status before silicone oil removal in eyes with macular holerelated retinal detachment in highly myopic eyes by OCT and evaluate the factors that influence successful silicone oil removal.MethodsFifty-five eyes of 49 consecutive patients who received vitreoretinal surgery for highly myopic retinal detachment caused by macular hole from January 2005 to December 2008 were involved,and 45 eyes of 40 patients who underwent silicone oil tamponade were retrospectively analyzed.Three to six months after vitreoretinal surgery combined with silicone oil tamponade,removal of silicone oil was performed based on the macular appearance on the OCT and the patients were followed up for over 1 year.The OCT manifestation of macular hole and the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) were compared between before vitrectomy combined with silicone oil tamponade surgery,and after removal of silicone oil.The healing of the macular hole was classified into type Ⅰ and Ⅱ healing according to the OCT results.ResultsThe retina at the macular area completely reattached in 40 eyes(88.89％ )before removal of silicone,and the margin of the macular hole had disappeared in 2 of the 40 eyes,showing type Ⅰ heal.Thirty-eight eyes were determined to exhibit type Ⅱ healing,presenting with a visible hole margin and local defection of nervous fiber layer.Two years after the removal of silicone,retinal detachment reappeared in 1 eye with type Ⅱ heal.The BCVAs were 1.93±0.06 and 1.16±0.07 before and 1 year after removal of silicone,respectively,showing a significant difference between them(P =0.00).ConclusionsOCT is a useful tool for the prediction of anatomic outcomes in macular hole-related retinal detachment eyes with high myopia.Silicone oil removal can be performed in macular hole closure eye or attached-well hole edge eye based on OCT examination.However,attachedwell hole edge eye should receive longer follow-up time.

Objective To explore the relationship among professional commitment, learning burnout and academic self-efficacy of undergraduate nursing students. Methods 506 undergraduate nursing students were investigated with the three Questionnaires of college students: professional commitment questionnaire, learning burnout inventory and academic self-efficacy scale. Results The scores of affective commitment, ideal commitment, normative commitment and continued commitment of the undergraduate nursing students were (28.229 ± 5.327), (20.348 ±4. 507), (19. 405 ± 3. 730), (18. 148 ± 2. 954) and( 86. 130 ± 13. 421), respectively. And the scores of depression, misconduct, low sense of accomplishment, total bumrnut of the undergraduate nursing students were(21.733 ±5.338), (18.459 ±3. 918) , (17.083 ±3. 596)and(57. 275 ±9. 766) , respectively. As well as the scores of learning ability of self-efficacy, learning behavior of self-efficacy and total self-efficacy were(35.765 ±5.835), (35.247 ±4.840)and (71.012 ±9.659), respectively. The affective commitment,ideal commitment and normative commitment of professional commitment were negatively correlated with the dimensions of learning bumout. And the continued commitment was significant correlated with the low sense of accomplishment. Otherwise, the dimensions of professional commitment were positive correlated with the dimensions of academic self-efficacy. OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of jujube pretreatment on serum levels of AST and ALT, liver pathology, and the expression of cytochrome P4502e1 (CYP2E1) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) in the liver tissue of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) mice.

METHODSTotally 88 Kunming mice were randomly divided into the control group (n = 28), the model group (n = 32), and the jujube treatment group (n = 28). The animal model was prepared using intragastric alcoholism for mice in the model group and the jujube treatment group, while distilled water was intragastrically given to those in the control group. Extraction of jujube was intragastrically given to mice in the jujube treatment group at week 4, while equal volume of distilled water was intragastrically given to mice in the rest two groups. The therapeutic course lasted for 12 weeks. Serum levels of AST and ALT, liver pathology, and the expression of CYP2E1 and TNF-alpha in the liver tissue of ALD mice were observed after administration of jujube.

RESULTSCompared with the model group, serum levels of AST and ALT decreased, the liver pathology was improved, and the expression of CYP2E1 and TNF-alpha in the liver tissue decreased, showing statistical difference (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONJujube had certain effect in treating ALD.

Objective To study the clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of peripheral neuropathy in patients with multiple sclerosis(MS).Methods As a total of 84 MS patients,the clinical and electrophysiological data were analyzed in 16 MS patients with the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy(PNMS group)and in 68 MS patients without peripheral neuropathy(NPNMS group).Results The incidence of peripheral neuropathy was 19.0%(16/84)in this group.The clinical symptoms included extremity numbness in 14 cases(87.5%),limb inertia in 12 cases(75.0%),and radicular pain in 4 cases(25.0%).Signs included decrease of tendon reflex in 15 cases(93.7%),periphery sensory disability in 13 cases(81.2%),and myatrophy in 5 cases(31.2%).The mean age in the PNMS group was(44.6?12.5)years vs.(32.2?11.5)years in the NPNMS group.The course of disease was(39.3?18.3)months vs.(31.6?17.2)months in the NPNMS group,there were significant differences in two groups(P
