ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of early electro-acupuncture treatment on prevention of post-operative adhesions.Methods40 rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal control group, model group 1, model group 2, early electro-acupuncture group and later electro-acupuncture group with 8 animals in each group. Muscle adhesion model was established by operation. The early electro-acupuncture group was received the treatment from the 11th to 20th day after the operation; later electro-acupuncture group was from the 21st to 30th day after the operation. The weight, gait and range of motion (ROM) of animals were observed and analyzed.ResultsThe standing, walking and ROM of animals of the early electro-acupuncture group improved; but only few gait indexes improved and ROM not changed in the later electro-acupuncture group.ConclusionThe early electro-acupuncture treatment can prevent the post-operative adhesion of muscles, but not having effect on formed adhesion.

Wide- angle viewing system as an important auxiliary device can clearly observe the whole fundus field of vision in vitreous surgery, which enable vitreoretinal surgery more efficient, safer and more effective. So it has very high application value in ophthalmologic operation. In this paper, we studied the development and application of wide - angle viewing system in vitreoretinal surgery in recent years, from which we summed up the advantage of non - contact wide - angle viewing system in clinical field, and pointed out the shortcomings. The ultimate goal is to make the non -contact wide - angle viewing system better applied in vitreous surgery.

Objective To evaluate the effect of peer educatio n program by the application of the peer education on human immunodeficiency vir us/aeguired immune deficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS) prevention and the analysis of the change on knowledge, attitude and behavior about HIV/AIDS among technical sc hool students in Shanghai. Methods Three technical schools in Shanghai were selected randomly. Two classes of each school were selected randomly as education group and the students added up to 284.Two hundred and sixty-one students of another 2 classes in each school were selected as the interior control group. Some freshmen came from medical un iversity were carefully trained as peer educators to conduct the education inclu ding 6 models. The same questionnaires were carried before and after the educati on in both groups. Results After peer education the score of average knowledge abo ut reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, STD was significantly higher than before (P 0.05). Conclusions The conduction of the peer education on HIV/AIDS pr evention among technical school students is effective in promoting the knowledge level, but the change of attitude and behavior is a long term. So we highly adv ocate that not only the health education for HIV/AIDS especially safe sex shall be given and strengthened among technical school students in order to promote t he notion of self-protection but also the conception of care others especially t he HIV/AIDS. AIM: To investigate the potential role of 14-3-3 tau in trophoblast cells on invasiveness. METHODS: 14-3-3 tau expression was detected in first-trimester villi, deciduas and human trophoblastic cell line (BeWo) by immunohistochemistry. Small interference RNA (siRNA) targeting 14-3-3 tau was transfected into BeWo cells. The effects of down-regulated 14-3-3 tau on invasion of human trophoblasts cell line BeWo were examined by matrigel invasion assay, and the transcription, translation of E-cadherin and snail were estimated by RT-PCR or Western blotting. U0126 was used to detect the extracellular-signal related kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) function on down-regulation of 14-3-3 tau induced cell invasion. RESULTS: 14-3-3 tau was detected in the invasive trophoblastic cells in the first trimester villi and that invaded to the deciduas. BeWo cells also expressed 14-3-3 tau. Down-regulation of 14-3-3 tau increased the invasive cell-number of BeWo, as well as the expression of snail, and inhibited E-cadherin. U0126 inhibited the enhanced invasiveness in these cells induced by the down-regulation of 14-3-3 tau. CONCLUSION: 14-3-3 tau may regulate the invasiveness of human trophoblastic cells through ERK1/2 signaling pathway.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of hospitalized patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and to characterize the epidemiology of SLE.Methods The data of 184 patients admitted to Ningxia Medical College Hospital during January 2008 to December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. The data analysis included the initial symptoms, system involvement and clinical situations.Chi-square test,t test,Mann-Whitney U test and Logistic analysis were used for statistical analysis. Results ① The ratio of male and female was 1∶9.8.The most common clinical symptoms was rash in 72 cases (39%),and followed by joint pain in 61 cases (33%),swelling in 28 cases (15%) and fatigue in 21 cases (11%).② Eighteen percent (33/184) patients were late-onset SLE patients.Compared with regular SLE patients, the interval was longer in late-onset SLE patients between clinical symptoms onset and the time when they saw the doctor.③ Blood and kidney were the most commonly affected organs.④ The highest diagnosis rate occurred in rheumatology department, the highest diagnosis rate occurred in the kidney department for patients with dropsy as starting symptom. Conclusion SLE primarily occurs in childbearing aged women. The reason of misdiagnosis of SLE is mainly due to the incorrect hospital selection for the first visit.Delayed diagnosis will lead to delay in the treatment.

Objective To analyse a novel splice mutation in EXT1 gene of hereditary multiple osteochondroma, and study its pathogenic mechanism. Methods In April of 2013, the proband was hospitalized from the outpatient department with multiple joint deformity for more than 20 years, peripheral blood of the proband and his parents were collected and genomic DNA was extracted .Coding regions and adjacent intron sequences of EXT1/EXT2 genes in genomic DNA of the family members were amplified and sequenced.Bioinformatics was used to analyze the mutation from sequencing .cDNA from peripheral blood of the proband ,the mother and normal control was made respectively as a template for amplifying coding regions of EXT1 gene, and the product was T-A cloned and sequenced. The abnormal transcripts of each group were counted and analyzed using chi square test to study the pathogenic mechanism of the mutation .Results Sequencing results of family members revealed that there was a heterozygous deletion mutation ( c.1284 +2del) in the 5′splice site of intron 4 in EXT1 gene of the proband and his mother .Bioinformatics predicted that exon 4 of EXT1 gene was skipping or spliced aberrantly due to the mutation .T-A clone and sequencing results as well as the statistical analysis suggested that there was a significantly higher proportion of transcripts with skipping exon 4 in the proband and his mother compared with the normal control (P=0.000, P<0.01).Conclusions c.1284+2del in EXT1 gene is reported for the first time internationally , which results in a considerable number of abnormal transcripts with skipping exon 4 in EXT1 gene, thereby influences the normal transcription and translation of EXT1 gene.

Objective To know the impact of nursing intervention mode of parent-child interactive on the adaption of postpartum family roles. Methods One hundred families (maternal, husbands, baby at birth) were divided into the intervention group and the control group. The intervention group was cared by the responsibility nurses who were trained to master the parent-child interactive nursing intervention. The control group was cared by conventional nursing methods. The role adaptation of the fathers and the mothers of the two groups, and self-confidence of the parents to take care of newborns were observed. Results In the intervention group, the role adaptation of the fathers and the mothers was better than the control group; self-confidence of taking care of the newborn was better than the control group. The sleep time of the newborns was prolonged and the crying times were less than the control group. Conclusions The parent-child interactive nursing intervention model can help the family to adapt to the father and the mother role as soon as possible; teach the parents to comprehensively understand newborns, give stimulation of touch, sight, hearing, smell,so as to achieve positive response of newborns and increase the confidence of rearing newborns of the parents.
