Objective To investigate the value of diffusion tensor tractography (DTT) quantitative assessment of corticospinal tract (CST) damage in acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods Thirty-two patients were enrolled in this study. DTT was obtained in early stage of ICH. The CST was reconstructed with Volume One 1.64 and diffusion Tensor Visualizer (dTV) software from Tokyo University. The compression, the displacement, the destruction, and the relative remaining number of the CST were calculated. Results The compression, the displacement and the destruction of the CST were observed in DTT images in all patients. The correlation coefficient between remaining number of the CST and score of Fugl-Meyer after the onset of ICH was 0.75 (P<0.01). Conclusion DTT can quantitatively evaluate the state of CST injury in acute ICH.
5.Clinical study of late-course hyperfractionated radiotherapy in the treatment of local advanced non-small cell lung cancer

Purpose:To evaluate the clinical effect of late-course hyperfractionated (LCH) radiotherapy and conventionally fractionated (CF) radiotherapy for local advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods:From August 1995 to April 1998, 74 patients with inoperable stage Ⅲ NSCLC were randomized into two groups: CF and LCH. 37 patients in CF group received a fraction of 2 Gy daily, 5 days per week, to the total dose of 65~70 Gy /6.5~7 weeks. 37 patients in LCH group were treated with the same fractionation as CF group to the dose of 40 Gy, and then followed by LCH radiotherapy: 1.2Gy, twice daily, with the interval of 6 hours between fractions, to the total dose of 64 Gy/6 weeks. [Objective]To evaluate the initial effect of the computer-assisted total knee replacement system.[Method]The 24 computer-navigated knees in our department were involved,and were matched at ratio of 1∶3 by previous cases at sex,age and disease.All cases anteroposterior and lateral projection X-ray films were checked postoperatively.We compared ? and ? angles at anteroposterior films,? and ? angles ant lateral films of all involved cases[Result]Although there was no significant differences existing between two groups,we still observed the obvious reduce risk of malplacement both for femoral and tibial prosthesis,and improvement of mechanical alignment.[Conclusion]By using computer-navigated total knee replacement system during operating,the precise and repeatability could be ensured.
7.A drug correlation analysis in 83 patients with acute drug-induced liver injury

Objective To analyze correlation of drug with acute drug-induced liver injury in 83 patients. Methods According to the international consensus criteria and Danan's causality assessment of a drug in the case of acute liver injury, 83 cases which had been clinically diagnosed as acute drug-induced liver injury were analyzed. Results Among the 590 inpatients of acute hepatitis, 83 (14.07%) were acute drug-induced liver injury, in whom 53 patients had liver cell damage (63.86%), 22 with cholestasis (26.5%), and 8 with mixed type (9.64%). In 34 patients, it was drug related (40.96%), undefined in 37 cases (44.57%), and unrelated in 12 cases (14.47%). Conclusion The international consensus criteria standardized the diagnosis of drug-induced liver injury and are helpful in differential diagnosis, but it needs improvement for actual implementation.

9.Relationship between vertebral artery incisures and the diseased regions evaluated using transcranial Doppler ultrasound

Objective To explore the relationship between the incisure changes in the intracranial vertebral artery (VA) segments on transcranial Doppler (TCD) and their diseased regions. Methods Incisure changes in VA intraeranial segments on TCD in 24 cases were found. Digital subtract angiography (DSA), computed tomography angiography (CTA)or coler Doppler flow imaging (CDFI)of carotid arteries were performed to confirm their diseased regions. Results (1)The group with end-systolic and pre-diatolic wide incisures was found in 9 cases: DSA or CTA showed 5 cases with severe stenosis, 2 cases with occlusion and 2 cases with congenital tenuity of the affected vertebral artery proximal part(VA-Pr). Within the above 8 cases, ipsilateral subclavian artery (SubA) was normal, 1 case was complicated with moderate stenosis of ipsilateral SubA,and 1 case was complicated with occlusion of contralateral SubA. Haemodynamics test showed (1)negative; (2)The group with systolic incisures was in 12 cases, and 12 patients were divided into two groups based on the haemodynamics test : ① positive group was in 6 cases. DSA showed that VA-Pr was normal but SubA had impaired with different degrees; ② negative group was in 6 cases. DSA showed VA-Pr was with occlusion in 4 cases and 2 cases was with congenital tenuity; The above 2 cases were complicated with stenosis of ipsilateral SubA and in 4 cases ipsilateral SubA were normal; (3) The group with small vibrated sharp waves on Doppler was in 3 cases, and DSA showed VA-Pr occlusion in 3 cases. In the 3 cases,one case was complicated with occlusion of ipsilateral SubA. Blood stealing was present in cervical muscular branches but not present between vertebral arteries . Ipsilateral SubA were normal in 2 cases. Haemodynamic tests showed negative. Conclusions VA incisures were not only present in the early subclavian steal syndrome (SSS) but also were found in the patients with impaired SubA . However, blood steal pathway is imperfect, and would be found in affected VA-Pr or congenital tenuity. Haemodynamic tests can help identify the above situation. The TCD screening method can be used in the routine diagnosis for SubA and VA from proximal to intracranial segments involvement, but there are limitations to some extent. It needs to combine with DSA and CDFI for diagnosis.
10.Effects of Preventive-electroacupuncture and Preventive-moxibustion at Guanyuan (RN4) on Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Ovary Axis in Ovariectomized Rats

Objective To observe the regulatory effects of the preventive acupuncture and moxibustion at Guanyuan (RN4) points in ovariectomized rats, and discuss the mechanism of preventive acupuncture and moxibustion on hyoathalamus-pituitary-ovary (HPO) axis. Methods Totally 48 female SD rats were divided into 5 groups, including normal group, sham operation group, ovariectomized rats group, preventive acupuncture group and preventive moxibustion group. Except normal group and sham operation group, rats were ovariectomized after preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion for 30 d in corresponding groups. ELISA was used to determine the levels of E2, ER, GnRH, FSH and LH in the tissues including hypophysis, hypothalamus and uterus. Results Compared with the normal group, E2, ER and GnRH level in the tissue of the model group was significantly lower (P<0.01), the levels of FSH and LH increased obviously (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, E2, ER and GnRH level of preventive acupuncture group and preventive moxibustion group increased in different degree (P<0.05). FSH and LH level reduced in different degree (P <0.05). There was no obvious difference between preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion group (P>0.05). Conclusions The preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion at Guanyuan (RN4) has benign modulation to disordered HPO axis of ovariectomized rats. The ability of preventive acupuncture and preventive moxibustion are almost the same.
