1.Quality of life and the efficacy of rehabilitation in patients with acute stroke
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2011;33(11):843-846
Objective To analyze the quality of life(QOL)of patients with acute stroke, and to explore the effects of early specialized rehabilitation on their QOL.Methods Seventy patients with acute stroke were randomly divided into a rehabilitation group(n =35)and a control group(n =35).The rehabilitation group received specialized rehabilitation treatment while the control group received self-rehabilitation.QOL we evaluated with the short form-36(SF-36)instrument before and after. Results Before treatment,QOL scores in the both groups were much lower than the norms for healthy people. The differences on each dimension of the SF-36 were not statistically significant between the two groups. The SF-36 scores of both groups improved during the experiment, but after 1 month and 6 months the improvement on each SF-36 dimension was significantly better in the rehabilitation group than in the control group. Conclusions The QOL of patients with acute stroke is significantly impaired, but specialized rehabilitation treatment is effective in improving it.
2.Comparative clinical study on preoperative intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer
China Oncology 1998;0(04):-
Background and purpose:In China, incidence of gastric cancer is high but early diagnosis is low and treatment results remains poor. The role of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for patients has been explored. In this study, we evaluated the effects and safety of preoperative intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy(PAIC) for advanced gastric cancer. Methods:One hundred and five patients with clinic stage-Ⅱ above advanced gastric cancer were submitted to preoperative intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy using the Seldinger technique. The regimen consisted of 5-FU 750 mg/m2, MMC 10 mg/m2, and DDP 60 mg/m2.Seven to ten days after the PAIC, all 105 patients received operation.Other 95 patients underwent surgery directly as control group. The responses by the tumor lesion and chemotherapy toxicity were observed. The long term survival rate were also evaluated. Results:Pathological examination showed that the tumor cells had changed by chemothrapy.Common adverse effects of PAIC were grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ gastrointestinal discomfort and bone marrow depression. No gastric rupture had occurred.Ninety-one cases(86.6%) underwent curative resection. The 1, 3, and 5-year survival rate was 96.2%, 68.6%, and 52.4% respectively.Among 95 patients with control group, sixty-five cases(68.6%) underwent curative resection.1,3,and 5-year survival rates were 88.4%,38.9% and 28.4%,respectively.Conclusion:PAIC is an effective, and safety chemotherapeutic treatment for advanced gastric cancer. It can affer treatment downstage of disease and enhances resectability. It may also improve the prognosis of advanced gastric cancer.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2013;21(6):373-377
Celiac disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune gastrointestinal disorder induced by ingestion of gluten-containing foods. In the past CD was thought prevalent only in Western countries, whereas it has been found common throughout the world and increasing numbers of Chinese patients has been reported recently. However, there are still many deficiencies in management of patients with CD in China and either the diagnosis or the treatment of CD is lacking evidence-based clinical pathway. We report a case of a young woman with CD presenting with chronic diarrhea, abdominal distention, and weight loss, whose outcome was improved by following evidence-based guidelines of medical nutrition therapy.Diagnosis and treatment of the patient was analyzed with review of foreign and domestic literature to provide readers reference of the standardized nutritional intervention of CD.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(09):-
Objective To study the relationship between gastric bile reflux and the digestive symptoms. Methods The extent of bile reflux into the stomach during 24 hours was monitored by using ambulatory bilirubin monitoring technique in 76 persons among them 44 were complaining of digestive symptoms and 22 asymptomatic. Results The total time percentile of bile reflux, the total area of bile reflux and frequency of bile reflux in asymptomatic group and symptomatic group were 15 6%?14 0%, 20 6?18 7, 22 3 times?13 6 times, and 26 4%?21 3%, 48 7?60 8, 42 9 times?44 5 times. Conclusion Bile reflux into the stomach was significantly more frequent and intensive in symptomatic group compared with asymptomatic group

Objective: To investigate the effects of clinical therapeutic and pharmacological actions “Shenkang Oral Liquid” on sexual function failing, senile nocturia. Results: Index of phagocyte, weight of seminal vesicle gland and content of testosterone in experimental rats with yang deficiency were observed by experiment. Results: “Shenkang Oral Liquid” could significantly raise index of phagocyte (k=0.0258?0.012), weight of seminal vesicle gland (24.07?1.99mg/10g) and content of testosterone (363?50.56pmol/mL) in rats with yang deficiency. Conclusion: “Shenkang Oral Liquid” shows enhancement effects on immune and sexual functions.

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2000;0(11):-
Objective To assess the long term effects of combined oral contraceptive pills use on the mean of serum TG, TC, HDL C, LDL C, ApoA1, ApoB and Lp(a). Methods The study was carried out in 446 women grouped as combined norethisterone containing ethinylestradiol (EE) 35 ?g and norethisterone 625 ?g; combined 18 metayl norethisterone (norgestrel) containing EE 30 ?g and 18 metayl norethisterone 300 ?g for using 5~25 years, and control subjects wearing IUD for the corresponding period. The three groups were similar in age, body mass index (BMI), continued period of contraceptives use and income. Results The data showed that changes of varying degree of lipid and lipoprotein parameters were obvious in women of long term taking low dose combined norethisterone and norgestrel, compared with the control. The mean of TG, HDL C, ApoA1 were significantly increased simultaneously ( P
