2.Study of Occlusal Force of Five Japanese Men at Different Vertical Dimensions
Journal of Kunming Medical University 1986;0(04):-
In order to have a better understanding of the relation between vertical dimension and occlusal force,a meter was made by means of straingauge.Five Japanese men were investi- gated for occlusal force at different vertical dimensions. The measurements showed that the maximal occlusal force of the posterior teeth occured at 8 to 15mm or the vertical dimension, the maximal occlusal forec of the anterior teeth occured at 13 to 18mm.This indicated that the occlusal force was closely related to the state of jaw closing muscle.
4.EXPRESSION OF GAMMA INTERFERON-LIKE SUBSTANCE IN ADRENAL PHEOCHROMO-CYTOMA
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1985;0(02):-
Expression of gamma interferon (IFN-?)-like substance in adrenal pheochromocytoma was investigated with immunohistochemical technique. In 15 out of the 16 cases of adrenal pheochromocytoma positive IFN-@-like immunoreactive substance was detected in the cytoplasm of the tumor cells, whereas in adrenal tissues adjacent to adrenal tumors in 26 cases (pheochromocytoma 12, adrenal corti-col tumors 12, others 2) only two with pheochromocytoma showed positive IFN-?-like immunoreactive substance in the cytoplasm of zona reticularis cells. The results suggest that IFN-? may be a kind of antigen associated with differentiation of cell.
5.Effect of verapamil on ischemic random skin flaps in rats
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2001;0(06):-
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of verapamil on the i schemic random skin flaps. MethodsThe dorsal random skin flap s of Wistar rats were raised (length/width=6/1). Verapamil was injected under th e flaps at the dose of 25mg/kg after the operations. Seven days later, the necro sis rate, the content of molondialehyde (MDA) in middle segment and the microsco pic observation were studied. ResultsThe necrosis rates were 1 5.9 % in verapamil group and 21.8 % in control group. The content of MDA in midd le segment of verapamil group was 164.8 nmol/L, and that in control group was 19 5.8 nmol/L. The difference was very significant. Under the microscope, the tissu e inflammatory reactions in the experiment group were not so severe as that in t he control group. ConclusionVerapamil improves the survival of the ischemic random skin flaps and it is applicable to give verapamil by subcut aneous injection.
6.Imaging Evaluation of Complications of Orthotopic Liver Transplantation
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2004;0(01):-
Objective To introduce the imaging modalities used for the evaluation of postoperative complications of orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) and to present the imaging findings of these complications. Methods The literatures related to the imaging methods and imaging manifestations of OLT complications were reviewed. Results Ultrasound was the initial imaging technique used for the detection of complications in the early postoperative period. Spiral CT and MRI yielded more accurate and comprehensive evaluation of postoperative complications in later stage. So far, there had been no specific imaging findings to suggest rejection reaction. The spectrum of imaging manifestations of OLT complications, such as vascular complications, biliary complications, liver parenchymal complications, and so on, were summarized and illustrated. Conclusion Imaging examination (especially ultrasound, spiral CT and MRI ) plays an important role in the evaluation of postoperative complications of OLT.
7.EFFECTS OF GOSSYPOL ON THE ULTRASTRUCTURE OF THE CELLS OF RAT ADENOHYPOPHYSIS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
The ultrastruetural changes of the cells of adenohypophysis were observed in adult male rats following administration of gossypol at a daily dosage of 30 mg/kg for 5 weeks. The results indicated a remarkable increase in the secretory activity of gonadotrophs. In comparison with the control group, the number of the less actively functioning types Ⅰ and Ⅱ gonadotrophs of gossypol-treated rats decreased, while that of types Ⅲ and Ⅳ cells with developed Golgi complex and dilated rough endoplasmic reticulum increased. Moreover, castration-like cells (type Ⅴ) and degranulation cells (type Ⅵ) appeared in the experimental animals. No significant changes in the other tropic cells of adenohypophysis could be found. The classification of gonadotrophs and the possible mechanism of gossypol-induced changes in them are discussed.
8.Current Status of Using Vitellogenin as A Biomarker to Screen Endocrine Disruptors
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
As harmful effect on human healh and on existence of biological population etiological system may caused by endocrine disruptors, it has become the focus of many studies of public health and environmental protection. This paper briefly summarized the current status of studies on the definition, classification, adverse effects and screening methods of endocrine disruptors, and also reviewed the scientific theory and advantages of vitellogenin that was qualified as a biomarker in screening environmental endocrine disruptors. On the basis of the matters mentioned above, the paper specifically introduced the principle, application, merits and shortcomings for methods for detecting vitellogenin protein and its encoding gene.
9.Effect of treatment with continuous positive airway pressure on nocturnal polyuria in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome: Relation with the plasma atrial natriuretic peptide in night
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2001;5(3):60,85-
Objective To investigate the effect of continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP) on nocturnal polyuria in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS). Methods The number of nocturia, the nocturia output, the osmotic pressure of nocturia and the nocturia excretion of Na+ . Plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) in night were measured in 8 patients. After treatment with CPAP, the patients were recorded or measured by those index again. Results The number of nocturia , The nocturia output, The osmotic pressure of Na+ ,and the plasma leels of NAP in night decreased significantly after tretment with CPAP.The osmotic pressure of nocturia rose significantly. The reduction of ANP corrected with the reduciton of the nocturia output, addition of the osmotic pressure of nocturia and the reduction of the nocturia exeretion of Na+ .Conclusion CPAP can reduce the number of nocturia, the nocturia output and the nocturia excretion of Na+ , increase the osmotic pressure of nocturia. The changes probably relate with the reduction of plasma level of ANP.
