The psychological intervention as well as regular dental therapeutics were applied to the patients in the intervention group , whereas only regular dental therapeutics were used to those in the control group. Results The patients had a lower clinical dental anxiety in the intervention group , significantly different from that of the control group ( P< 0.01). After the treatment , more patients in the intervention group had a slower pulse than those in the control group and fewer had a faster pulse .The results also showed that the psychological intervention had a better curative effect on male patients than female ( P<0.05). Conclusion The psychological intervention was efficient to patients with dental anxiety.
2. Effect of modified formula Compound Biejia Ruangan Pills on hepatic fibrosis in rats induced by CCl4 and its mechanism
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2018;49(6):1371-1378
Objective: To explore the possible effects and mechanism of modified Compound Biejia Ruangan Pills (MF-CBRP) on liver fibrosis induced by CCl4 in rats. Methods: SD rats were randomly divided into control group, model group, positive control (colchicine, 0.1 mg/kg) group, CBRP group (0.594 7 g/kg), MF-CBRP high-and low-dose (1.061 0 and 0.530 5 g/kg) groups. The rat model with liver fibrosis was established by sc injection CCl4 solution (dissolved in soybean oil), twice a week for six weeks except control group. The rats in the treatment groups were administered six weeks after the model establishment. At the end of the administration, the contents of serum biochemical, hydroxyproline (Hyp), lipid peroxidation, fibrosis factor, platelet-derived factor-α (PDGF-α), and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) were measured and the pathological changes of liver tissue were examined by HE and Masson. The level of α-SMA and the expression of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) were detected by immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR. Results: The results showed that MF-CBRP improved the liver function significantly through reducing the level of ALT, AST, T-Bil, ALP, Hyp, HA, LN, PC-III, IV-C, and MDA (P < 0.05, 0.01), and increasing the content of S/L, TP, ALB, SOD, and GSH (P < 0.05, 0.01). MF-CBRP also reduced the expression of PDGF-α, CTGF, α-SMA, MMP-2, and TIMP-1 mRNA (P < 0.01) and improved the pathological changes of liver histopathology. Compared with CBRP, MF-CBRP anti-hepatic fibrosis effect was slightly weakened. Conclusion: The results suggested that MF-CBRP may against hepatic fibrosis by reducing oxidative stress, inhibiting collagen fibrillation, reversing hepatic stellate cell activation, and inhibiting the expression of hepatic growth factor. However its anti-fibrosis activity and mechanism was weaker than the original CBRP in a certain extent.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(9):60-62
Objective To explore the effect of three shifts on sleep status of nurses in order to supply evidence for improving the nurses' sleeping quality. Methods 111 three shifts nurses and 117 traditional shifts nurses of 3 grade three A hospitals in Guangzhou were investigated for their sleep condition with self-rating scale of sleep (SRSS), and later the results underwentχ2 test and t test. Results There were 55 three shifts nurses with sleeping factor scores of SRSS≥23 (49.5 %), while there were 72 traditional shifts nurses with sleeping factor scores of SRSS≥23 (61.5 %). Compared with traditional shifts nurses, the total mean scores and factor score of three shifts nurses were better except sleeping time and lack of awakening. It is discovered that great sleeping status differences were found among three shifts nurses and traditional shifts nurses between the age of 20 to 30. Conclusions Three shifts can release the pressure of nurses and can improve the nurses' sleeping status to some degree, especially to the juniority nurses' sleeping status, then the nursing safety can be insured.
6.Application of SM22α promoter and enhancer against angiostenosis following coronary artery bypass grafting
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(5):919-922
BACKGROUND:Great saphenous vein is the most common vascular material in coronary artery bypass grafting, however, the graft neointimal hyperplasia and subsequent atherosclerosis result in angiostegnosis, which affect the long-term efficacy. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the pathophysiology and mechanism of the angiostenosis, additionally, to construct smooth muscle cell specific SM22a promoter and SMHC enhancer. METHODS: The database of PubMed, HighWire and CNKI were retrieved with key words of "SM22α promoter, SMHC enhancer, stenosis, Pi3k and RNAi/RNA interference". The language was confined to English and Chinese. The literatures correlated with angiostenosis, VSMC-specific SM22α promoter and enhancer were selected. The reviews and overlapped researches were excluded. In vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and apoptosis of graft neointimal hyperplasia, as well as the extent of graft thrombosis were considered as evaluation index. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: More than 8 730 literatures were searched by the computer. According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, the SM22α promoter and angiostenosis were analyzed. The neointimal hyperplasia and thrombosis had a strong impact on prospective efficacy after coronary artery bypass grafting. The PI3K-Akt-mTOR pathway was a crucial signal passage which regulated cell proliferation and migration. RNA interference targeting Pik3cb can efficiently suppress the neointimal hyperplasia through down regulating the PI3K-Akt-mTOR pathway. The shRNA eukaryon expression plasmid vectors targeting rat Pik3cb were constructed using VSMC-specific SM22α promoter. On the one hand, it can suppress the neointimal hyperplasia, and on the other, it can prevent the occurrence of thrombosis.SM22a is a specific gene in vascular smooth muscle cell. The studies that applied VSMC-specific SM22α promoter/enhancer to vascular grafting provide a new strategy to prevent angiostenosis and thrombosis.

9.IN VITRO TRANSDIFFERENTIATION OF RAT BONE MARROW MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS INTO INSULIN-SECRETING CELLS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the possibility of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells to transdifferentiate into insulinf-secreting cells or islet progenitors, and to demonstrate whether these islet-like cells can generate insulin and glucagon. Methods BMSCs were isolated from tibia or thighbone of 6-8 weeks normal SD rat, purified on the basis of their ability to adhere to matrix, and expanded through their self-renewal.Two-step strategy was adopted,BMSCs were induced to generate nestin-positive cells under diffferentiation culture medium 1(added 20??g/L bFGF,10??g/L EGF and 2% B-(27) in DMDM/F-(12) medium) in step one;Nestin-positive cells were differentiated and developed into islet-like cells or islet progenitors under complexed culture medium 2(added 10??g/L Betacellulin,10??g/L HCF,10??g/L Activin A,10?mmol/L nicotide and 2% B27 serum-free in HG-DMEM medium) in step two.The differentiated cells were tested by Dithiazone staining;Immunocytochemistry was carried out using standard protocols in which the cells were incubated with Rb-Rat insulin monoclone antibody,mouse-human glucogan polyclone antibody and Rb-Rat nestin monoclone antibody and assessed by examining the cells under a Zeiss microscope.Insulin secretion in response to insulin secretagogues(glucose) was assayed by radioimmunoassay(RIA). Results After 5 days,BMSCs were expressing nestin,a marker shared with neural stem cells and pancreatic stem cells.Dithiazone staining was positive(bright orange). The differentiated cell masses were containing insulin and glycagon as indicated by immunocytochemistry.RIA demonstrated that these cell mass could generate insulin, the responsibility to glucose was weak. Conclusion BMSCs can be induced to differentiate into insulin-secreting cells or islet progenitors by adding various different cell growth factors and the strategy is repeatable. This study may present a potential approach for the treatment of insulin-depended diabetes by interventional therapy.
