Objective:To study the changing characteristics and impact factors of helical tomotherapy (HT)for longitudinal dose fall-off outside the target, in order to guide the plan junction or pretreatment target and implementation efficiency in clinical. Methods:Eight patients with head and neck tumors admitted to the Department of Oncology Radiotherapy of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in December 2019 were retrospectively selected as the research objects. The planning target area and dose drop structure were outlined in the head and neck images with a thickness of 1 mm obtained by Siemens SOMATOM Definition AS positioning computerized tomography (CT). Different field widths (FW, 5.0 cm/2.5 cm/1.0 cm) and pitches (0.430/0.287/0.215) were assembled for planning with the same modulation factor (1.8), finest does calculation grid (0.195 cm ×0.195 cm) and other planning parameters were consistent. The plans were designed by different parameters, and the result was analyzed by univariate analysis. Results:The that different pitch curves coincided under the same field width by comparative analyzing, so pitchs had no effect on dose drop. The different field width curves were independent of each other, indicating that the field width had an effect on dose drop in the head and foot direction. The relationship between the longitudinal dose drop speed outside the target and the change of the field width was inversely correlated: the larger field widths meant the slower dose fall-off and the larger penumbra, while the smaller field widths meant the faster fall-off and the smaller penumbra. When the dose fall-off to 50% of the prescribed dose, the distance from the target was approximately equal to half the field widths, and the pitchs had not affect the rate of dose-drop, while the dose at different distances from the target boundary could be calculated by the fitting formulas. The field widths and pitchs had little effect on the CI and HI index of the target, relatively, the target area was best when the field width was 2.5 cm. The total beam-on time gradually decreased with the increase of the field widths and pitches. Conclusions:When segment target therapy needs to consider planning junction, execution efficiency, and controlling longitudinal dose fall-off and considered the execution, the optimal planned parameters such as field widths and pitches could be selected or the target at the junction regions could be adducted according to the longitudinal dose drop formula, so as to achieve the ideal dose distribution.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect and feasibility of interventional treatment of cervical artery stenosis in the elderly patients aged 75 years and over. Methods The data of 60cases aged 75 years or over who underwent interventional treatment of the cervical arteriostenosis involving carotid artery (CA), vertebral artery (VA) or proximal segment of the subclavian artery (SCA) were analyzed retrospectively. The clinical manifestations, imaging characteristics, interventional managements and follow-up results were recorded. Results In this cohort, the mean age was (78. 9±3.7) years (range from 75 to 89). The 50 patients (93.3%) complained of cerebral ischemic symptoms, and all the patients had concurrent diseases or risk factors, including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke history, and so on. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) data showed 55 cases (91.7%) had 2 or more cerebral arteries with a stenosis exceeding 30%. Among all cases, 84 lesions were treated with 84 stents, with a technical success rate of 98.8%. After stenting, the percent diameter stenosis of lesions decreased from a mean of (80.8 ± 12.9) % to (7.1 ± 9.5 ) %. The periprocedural and 30-day postoperative neurological complication rate was 8. 3 %, resulting in a permanent complication rate of 5 %. Clinical improvement rate was 87.5%. During a follow-up period of (36.7±26. 3) months (range from 5 to 99), there were 4 deaths: 2 died from myocardial infarction, 1 died from brain metastases of lung cancer and 1 died from cerebral hemorrhage. Cerebral infarction recurred in 3 cases. Imaging follow-up in 78. 3% of patients for 66 stents, including ultrasound, CTA, MRA or DSA, showed that the general in-stent restenosis rate was 9. 1%, and the restenosis rate of VA, CA and SCA was 21.7% (5/23), 2.6%and 0, respectively. Conclusions The results of this series suggest that interventional treatment ofcervical artery stenosis in the elderly patients aged 75 years and over is effective and feasible. In our experience, clinical comprehensive management and skillful technique of the operator are equally important for the elderly patients aged 75 years and over with high incidence of concurrent diseases or risk factors.

The study is to report the establishment of a method of screening the antitumor compounds based on the dynamic bio-response profile of cells to make up for the shortages of conventional end-point tests such as tedious operation and low sensitivity. Based on the principle of electric impedance of cells, the real-time cell electronic sensing (RT-CES) system was used to monitor the effect of epirubicin (EPI), cisplatinum (DDP) and carboplatin (CBP) on the growth of HepG2 cells, with the cell index (CI), half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) and detachment curve as evaluation indexes. Meanwhile, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and microscopy were applied for verification. The results showed that CI curve could sensitively real-time profile the inhibitory effect of model drugs on HepG2 cells. The IC50 of EPI, DDP and CBP were 0.53 +/- 0.04, 9.79 +/- 0.26 and 597.00 +/- 3.79 microg x mL(-1), respectively. What's more, the significant differences of detachment curves of the three drugs indicated that their functional mechanisms might be different, this is consistent with the literature. The RT-CES system with non-invasive, label-free and real-time characteristics could be used to monitor the bio-response profile of the three drugs to HepG2 cells, allowing to qualitatively and quantitatively distinguish the antitumor activities of the three drugs, and could be a complementary method for the present screening of antitumor compounds.

In order to explore the platform role and practicability of network teaching in the teaching and training of clinical blood transfusion. By building an "Internet+APP" teaching and training management platform, this research develops personalized teaching and training courses and assessment plans for different groups such as interns, trainees and on-the-job staff in the blood transfusion department, so as to achieve time-saving and high-efficient training results. The results showed that the interns' assessment scores were all up to standard, with more than 90 points accounting for 66% and 80-90 points accounting for 34%. The assessment scores of the trainees and on-the-job personnel were above 90 points, which showed that they had significant improvement of their professional level. The teaching resources of this teaching mode are stable, centered on the trainees, free from traditional time and space constraints, high-efficient, time-saving, and easy to accept.

Allergic asthma, is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the airway presenting with airway hyperresponsiveness and airway remodelling. T helper cells-derived cytokines are critically associated with asthma pathogenesis. Janus kinase-signal transduction and activation of transcription (JAK/STAT) signaling is found to be involved in asthma. Magnolol is a plant-derived bioactive compound with several pharmacological effects. The study aimed to assess the effects of magnolol in ovalbumin (OVA)-induced asthmatic model. BALB/c mice were sensitized and challenged with OVA. Magnolol (12.5, 25, or 50 mg/kg body weight) was administered to separate groups of animals. Dexamethasone was used as the positive control. Cellular infiltration into the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were reduced on magnolol treatment. The levels of Th2 and Th17 cytokines were reduced with noticeably raised levels of interferon gamma. Lung function was improved effectively along with restoration of bronchial tissue architecture. OVA-specific immunoglobulin E levels in serum and BALF were decreased by magnolol. Magnolol reduced Th17 cell population and effectively modulated the JAK-STAT and Notch 1 signaling. The results suggest the promising use of magnolol in therapy for allergic asthma.
