Objective:To compare the clinical characteristics in primary hyper(-) parathyroid hormone (PHPT) of the different patholog-ic types. Methods:Clinical data of 140 patients with PHPT proved by operation and pathology during January 2010 to June 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:A total of 140 PHPT patients, including 13 (9.29%) cases of parathyroid carcinoma (PC), 27 (19.29%) cases of parathyroid hyperplasia (PH), and 100 (71.43%) cases of parathyroid adenoma (PA). The duration of the PC group was longer than the PH group and the duration of the parathyroid adenoma (PH) group was longer than the PA group (P<0.05). The percentage of young patients with PC was higher than in the other two groups (P=0.003). The diameters of the PC group were larger than those of the other two groups, and those of the PA group were larger than those of the PH groups (P<0.05). Blood calcium, parathyroid hor-mone (PTH), AKP, fasting blood glucose (FBG), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), glutamete transpepti-dase (GGT), blood urine nitrogen (BUN), creatine (CRE), urinary calcium, and phosphorus of the PC group were higher than in the oth-er two groups (P<0.05). The blood calcium, PTH, alkaline phosphatase (AKP), urinary calcium of the PH group were lower than those in PA group (P<0.05). The proportion of ostalgia was 46.15%(6/13), 44.44%(12/27), and 49.00%(49/100). No statistical difference was observed (P>0.05). The postoperative calcium level of PC group was lowest (P<0.001), and the highest was of PTH (P<0.001). The pro-portions of clinical manifestation of the urinary system, digestive system, and nervous system in the PC group were 76.92%(10/13), 76.92%(10/13), and 15.38%(2/13), respectively, and these values were the highest in the three groups (P<0.05). The proportion of the clinical manifestation of the urinary system of the PH group was higher than that of the PA group. The fracture rate (30.77%, 4/13) and constipation rate (38.46%, 5/13) of the PC group were the highest among the three groups (P<0.05). Conclusion:The duration of patients with PC was the longest among the three groups. The percentage of young patients with PC was the highest. The abnormal parathyroid glands in the PC group were the heaviest. The PC group exhibited the lowest postoperative calcium level and the highest PTH level. The biochemistry and clinical manifestations of PC were obvious.

Aim To evaluate the effect and safety of azithromycin injection produced in China and cefazolin in the treatment of respiratory tract infections.Methods 50 patients with respiratory tract infections were divided randomly into two groups. Patients in the test group recieved azithromycin in the dosage of 250 mg?d-1,qd for 5 d iv with double dosages at the first time and patients in the control group recieved cefazolin in the dosage of 2.0 g,bid,iv for 5～10 d. Results No statistical significant differences of overall clinical effect were observed between two groups .The fully recovery,effective and side reaction rates for the test group were 46.67%,90% and 3.3%,respectively,and for control group the data were 60%,95%,and 0%, respectively.Conclusion Azithromycin injection produced in China is effective and safe in the treatment of respiratory infections.

Objective To study the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy in different modalities.Methods From September 2005 to October 2012,57 patients with masses located at pancreatic body/tail were treated by laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy.According to the operation procedure,patients were divided into four groups:distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy; Spleenpreserving distal pancreatectomy with conservation of the splenic artery and vein; spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy and without conservation of the splenic artery and vein and laparoscopic to open distal pancreatectomy.Data of each group for operation time,blood loss and complications were collected and statistically analyzed.Results In 57 patients,5 cases were converted to open distal pancreatectomy.52 cases underwent successful laparoscopic operation (including 1 cases of hand-assisted).22 cases of spleen preserving operation (39％),and 30 cases of splenectomy operation (61％).Among the 4 groups of patients operation time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative length of stay were not significantly different (all P ＞ 0.05).There was no operative mortality.Two cases suffered from B level postoperative pancreatic leakage,there was no C level pancreatic leakage.Conclusions Laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy with or without splenectomy is safe for the treatment of body and tail tumors of the pancreas.

Objective To investigate the relationship of placental vascular anastomosis and physical development and morbidity of the disease in twin neonates.Methods Fourteen pairs of twin neonates deliveried from Sep.2005 to Aug.2009 were enrolled in Newborn Intensive Care Unit,the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University.These twins were divided into 2 groups according the conditions of placental vascular anastomosis:significant placental vascular anastomosis group(group A) and no significant vascula anastomosis group(group B).Birth weight,head circumference,length,the morbidity of disease were all investigated in 2 groups.Clinic follow-up included neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA) and children′s development center of China(CDCC).The correlation of neonates placental vascular anastomosis between twin neonates were compared.Results There were statistically significant differences between group A and group B in birth weight,head circumference and body length(t=6.070,5.237,5.784,Pa

AIM: To evaluate the clinical outcomes of management in younger patients with primary chronic angle-closure glaucoma (PCACG).METHODS: Thirty-eight patients (50 eyes) aged 40 or younger with confirmed diagnosis of PCACG in advanced or late stage who received surgical treatment in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center from January 2000 to December 2005were retrospectively investigated. All patients underwent trabeculectomy. The mean follow-up was 23.6±7.5 months.Full ophthalmic examinations were performed. The clinical outcomes including clinical presentations, surgical results and complications were evaluated.RESULTS: The mean age of patients was 33.5±6.1 years old. There was a female preponderance (60.5%). The mean axial length was 22.4±3.5mm with 18.0% short axis of eyeball and 14% nanophthalmos. There was 60.0% fiat anterior chamber depth (＜1.9mm). Ultrasonic Biomicroscopy identified that plateau iris was the most common underlying etiology (80.6%). There was a statistically significant difference in intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction postoperativelyvs preoperatively (P＜0.001). Four eyes failed to control IOP and received second filtration surgery. The main postoperative complications included shallow anterior chamber (20.0%) and malignant glaucoma (12.0%).CONCLUSION: The younger PCACG patients in advanced or late stage can be effectively managed by trabeculectomy.They have more frequency of postoperative sustained shallow anterior chamber and malignant glaucoma. Careful ophthalmic examinations, delicate surgical procedures and well-managed technique of complications were suggested on younger PCACG patients.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of ribavirin to mice viral myocarditis. Methods Onehundred and twenty mice were randomly divided into 3 groups. Group 1 was normal control group 1 .group 2 CVB3 control group, group 3 ribavirintherapy group. In the latter two groups, 0.2 mL CVB3(10-7.5Tcid5o/mL)was infected into abdominal cavity. Ten mice of each group were killed at the 7 th, 14 th,21 st,28 th day. Mice motality,light and electron microscape, myocardial viral tiler, myocardial pathological score,serum cTnI,malonytdialdehyde(MDA) and cardiac myocyte apoptosis rate(CMAR) were examined.Re-sults The motality,myocardial viral titer,myocardial pathological score,cTnI were lower in group 3(ribavirin therapy group) than in group 2(CVB3 control), and MDA and CMAR were no significant differences between ribavirin group and simple CVB3 group. Conclusion Ribavirin has good treatment effect to mice viral myocardilis,and its mechanism is due to decrease viral titer.

OBJECTIVETo explore the distribution characteristics of basic syndromes and its related factors in patients with chronic functional constipation (CFC).

METHODSThe complete data of 538 patients with CFC were collected and initial database was established with Epidata 3. 0. TCM syndrome typing was performed. The distribution characteristics of basic syndromes were analyzed using SPSS 17. 0 Software. The univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were performed with SPSS 17. 0 Software to determine basic syndrome related factors such as age, engaged professionals, sleep quality, depression, mental stress, interpersonal relations, work fatigue, stimulating beverage, exercise conditions, Western medicine type of constipation, and so on.

RESULTSThe TCM syndrome frequency of CFC patients was sequenced from high to low as qi deficiency syndrome (380 cases, 70.6%), qi stagnation syndrome (337 cases, 62.6%), blood deficiency syndrome (234 cases, 43.5%), yin deficiency syndrome (220 cases, 40.9%), yang deficiency syndrome (197 cases, 36.6%), and others(58 cases, 10. 8%) . Most patients were complicated with complex syndromes, and the most common complex syndromes were qi deficiency complicated qi stagnation syndrome (275 cases, 51.1%) and qi deficiency complicated blood deficiency syndrome (222 cases, 41.3%). Aging, work fatigue, and exercise conditions were main related factors for qi deficiency syndrome (P <0. 01, P <0. 05). Poor emotional (depression and anxiety tendencies), mental stress, interpersonal relations, defecation barriers constipation were main related factors for qi stagnation syndrome (P <0.01). Sleep quality and poor emotional (depression and anxiety tendencies) were main related factors for blood deficiency syndrome (P <0. 01, P < 0.05). Stimulating beverages were main related factor for yin deficiency syndrome (P <0.05). Engaged in mental work and slow transit constipation were main related factors for yang deficiency syndrome (P < 0. 01, P <0. 05).

CONCLUSIONSCFC is featured as complex syndromes. The most common complex syndromes were qi deficiency complicated qi stagnation syndrome and qi deficiency complicated blood deficiency syndrome. Basic syndrome related factors such as age, engaged professionals, sleep quality, poor emotional (depression and anxiety tendencies), mental stress, interpersonal relations, work fatigue, stimulating beverage, exercise conditions, Western medicine type of constipation were associated with the distribution of CFC syndromes.
