Objective To explore the clinical characteristics, changes of neuroendocrine hormone before and aftter operation in patients with craniopharyngioma,so as to provide the basis for the replacement therapy after operation and educational practice. Methods The clinical data of 183 patients with craniopharyngioma were retrospectively analyzed. Results (1)Symptoms mainly were headache with nausea, disevesight, the second symptom was polydipsia and polyuria,in child, growth and development retardation was more, and another was hypothalamus syndrome.(2)Functions in endocrine:functions in thyreoid, adrenal and gonad(except PRL),the dysfunctions in neurohypophysis was displayed with completed insipidus and immaturity insipidus, contrasted it anteoperation to that postoperation,it was obvious in statishcs meanings (P<0.05). Conclusions In patients with craniopharyngioma, children and adolescent is more than the other people, clinical situation is complicated, neuroendocrine hormone is derangement before and after operation, tumor itself to oppress and operation trauma are the basic reasons for the hypofunction of neuroendocrine hormpne, hormones replacement therapy and monitoring should be catch earlier.

Objective To explore clinical value of tumor specific growth factors (TSGF) in serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) on differential diagnosis of benign and malignant periphery solitary pulmonary nodules (PSPN). Methods Serum and BALF from both normal and afflicted side were collected from 211 patients with PSPN(case group) and from 196 patients without any type of tumor (control group). TSGF and carcinoembry-onic antigen (CEA) in serum and BALF were measured in both groups. Results In the malignant PSPN patients, CEA in serum, normal and afflicted side were 28.73 (SD: 15.61) μg/L,63.31 (SD:21.28) μg/L and 85.54(SD: 26.19)μg/L,respectively, which was significantly higher than that of the benign PSPN patients (7.21(SD:2.43) μg/L, 12.36(SD:6.93)μg/L and 14.65 (SD:8.07)μg/L,respectively), as well as that of the control group (4.68 (SD: 1.25) μ/L and 11.06(SD:8.03) μg/L in serum and BALF, respectively (P < 0.05). TSGF in the serum and BALF from the normal and afflicted side of malignant PSPN patients was 88.73 (SD:13.51)μg/L, 110.73 (SD: 18.64) μg/L and 162.80(SD:58.89) μg/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than that of the benign PSPN patients (56.31(SD: 2.43) μg/L, 79.25 [SD: 36.86] and 86.29 (SD: 37.07) μg/L, respectively) (P <0.05). Furthermore, in the malignant PSPN patients, TSGF and CEA in the afflicted side were significantly higher than that of the normal side. Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of TSGF in BALF from the afflicted side for malig-nant diagnosis were 86.6%,100.0% and 98.6%,respectively,which was higher than that of CEA (70.2% ,78. 9% and 76.5% respectively) and that of serum TSGF (73.1% ,88.9% and 85.7% respectively). Conclusions TSGF in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum has a significant role in differential diagnosis of benign and malig-nant periphery solitary pulmonary nodules. Furthermore, measurement of TSGF in bilateral BALF is helpful in diag-nosis of tumor location.

Objective:To discuss the correlation of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3[25(OH)D3] with chronic inflammation and insulin resistance (IR) in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) patients. Methods:One hundred and twenty-four PCOS patients registered from January 2018 to January 2020 in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University were selected retrospectively. According to the difference of body mass index (BMI), the patients were divided into PCOS 1 group (BMI<25 kg/m 2, 64 cases) and PCOS 2 group (BMI≥25 kg/m 2, 60 cases). At the same time, 60 patients with simple obesity were selected as the obesity group and 58 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. The somatology indicators, gonadal hormone, serum 25(OH)D3, insulin resistance (IR) related index and chronic inflammation factors were measured, the correlations of serum 25(OH)D3 with relevant indicators were analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results:The BMI, waist hip ratio, testosterone(T), luteinizing hormone (LH) / follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), free androgen index(FAI), fasting insulin (FINS), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), insulin sensitivity index (ISI) in the four groups had significant differences ( P<0.05); the level of 25(OH)D3 in the PCOS 1 group was lower than that in the PCOS 2 group: (1.14 ± 0.36) nmol/L vs. (1.83 ± 0.25) nmol/L, P<0.05; the levels of FINS, HOMA-IR in the PCOS 2 group were higher than those in the PCOS 1 group, obesity group and control group: (13.26 ± 2.61) mg/L vs. (5.58 ± 1.03), (6.63 ± 1.42), (4.66 ± 0.85) mg/L, 1.49 ± 0.37 vs. 1.15 ± 0.20, 1.12 ± 0.22, 0.96 ± 0.11, P<0.05; the level of ISI in the PCOS 2 group was lower than that in the PCOS1 group, obesity group and control group: - 4.19 ± 0.78 vs. - 3.52 ± 0.74, - 3.23 ± 0.53, - 3.06 ± 0.54, P<0.05. The levels of interleukin-6(IL-6), transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in the four groups had significant differences ( P<0.05); the level of IL-6 in the PCOS 2 group was higher than that in the PCOS 1 group: (18.15 ± 4.93) ng/L vs. (14.77 ± 4.58) ng/L, P<0.05. The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum of 25(OH)D3 had negative correlation with IL-6, BMI, waist hip ratio, T, FINS, ISI, TGF-β and TNF-α( r = - 0.582, - 0.242, - 0.371, - 0.203, - 0.208, - 0.267, - 0.723, - 0.617, P<0.05). Conclusions:Serum 25(OH)D3 is correlated with chronic inflammation and IR, and involved into the genesis and progression of PCOS.
