The aim of this study was to explore the effects of ZGXF decoction on amphetamine-induced rotation in PD rats with syndrome of liver-yang hyperactivity, and its mechanism involved.Rats received 6-OHDA administration via intra-substantia nigra injection and were intragastrically treated by Fu Zi decoction to establish the PD model with the syndrome of liver-yang hyperactivity.Three doses of ZGXF decoction or selegiline were given by a 28-day intragastric administration. The rats were tested for amphetamine-induced rotation asymmetry. In addition,real-time PCR were adopted to analyze the expressions of Nfe212 and Hmox1 mRNAs,while western blot to analyze the expression of Keap1 protein. As a result,it was found that ZGXF decoction dose-dependently attenuated amphetamine-induced rotation,up-regulated the expressions of Nfe212 and Hmox-1 mRNAs,and down-regulated the expression of Keap1 protein in the substantia nigra in PD rats with syndrome of liver-yang hyperactivity. It was suggested that anti-PD effects of ZGXF decoction be attributed to the up-regulation of Nfe212 and Hmox-1 mRNAs and the down-regulation of Keap1 protein, being associated with oxidative stress,in the substantia nigra of PD rats with syndrome of liver-yang hyperactivity.

Two cases of frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) were reported.Case 1,a 44-year-old woman, presented with progressive recession of the frontotemporal hairline for 4 years and multiple skincolored facial papules for 2 years.Skin examination showed that the frontotemporal hairline was receded, the local skin was smooth and thin, and a few remaining fine hairs could be seen.Additionally, eyebrows, axillary and pubic hairs were partly shed, and plenty of millet-sized skin-colored papules were diffusedly distributed on the frontotemporal region and bilateral mandibular angles.Dermatoscopy showed reduced hair follicular openings, different hair shaft diameters, cicatricial white patches and perifollicular erythema.Case 2,a 55-year-old woman, presented with progressive frontotemporal hair loss for 2 years.Skin examination revealed the recession of bilateral frontotemporal hairline and partial loss of eyebrows, axillary and pubic hairs.Histopathological examinations of the 2 patients both revealed perifollicular infiltration of lymphocytes, liquefaction degeneration of basal cells and perifollicular lamellar fibrosis.Clinical manifestations and histopathological features of the 2 patients both confirmed the diagnosis of FFA.

Objective To obtain different fragments of human carboxypeptidase H,and evaluate the diagnostic application of the recombination carboxypeptidase H in detecting autoantibody. Methods The coding gene of carboxypeptidase H was ob-tained by RT-PCR.The corresponding prokaryotic expression vectors were constructed and transformed into E.coli to in-duce the expression of the recombination different fragments of carboxypeptidase H.Using these antigen fragments as the coating antigens, the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)was established for the detection of carboxypeptidase H autoantibody in 95 newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients. Results Three fragments of human carboxypeptidase H were obtained,in which the 42~476aa fragment antigen was ideal one.Using the full-length carboxypeptidase H as coating anti-gen,the positive rate of carboxypeptidase H autoantibody was 8.42%.Conclusion Because of the favorable antigenicity, the 42~476aa fragment antigen of carboxypeptidase H could be the candidate antigen for discrimination and diagnosis of latent autoimmune diabetes in adults.
