Objective To explore the influence of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD) technology in snake bite treatment.Methods 108 patients of snake bites need to incision decompression were randomly divided into two groups,VSD group (VSD) 58 cases,conventional group (wound change dressings ordinarily) 50 cases.The secondary suture of time,the number of change dressings,material consumption fees,antibiotics use cost,wound infection rate,in hospital,average length of hospital stay were compared between two groups.Results Compared the VSD group with the conventional group,the secondary suture of time (t =11.743,P ＜ 0.05),the number of change dressings (t =50.661,P ＜ 0.05),material consumption fees (t =9.054,P ＜ 0.05),antibiotics use cost (t =21.515,P ＜ 0.05),wound infection rate (x2 =9.155,P ＜ 0.05),in hospital,average length of hospital stay (t =10.350,P ＜ 0.05) had significant differences.Conclusion VSD technique can be a ideal way to treat snake bites patients and worth popularizing at this stage.

Objective To investigate the effect of emulsified isoflurane preconditioning on focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats and the mechanism. Methods Fifty-six healthy male adult SD rats weighing 250-280 g were randomly divided into 4 groups (n = 14): group Ⅰ sham operation (group S); group Ⅱfocal cerebral I/R; group Ⅲ emulsified isoflurane preconditioning and group Ⅳ fat emulsion preconditioning. Focal cerebral ischemia was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) using a nylon thread with rounded tip inserted into internal carotid artery and advanced cranially until resistance was met. MCAO was maintained for 2 h followed by 24 h reperfusion. In group Ⅲ and Ⅳ 8% emulsified isoflurane 7.5 ml/kg and 3% fat emulsion 7.5 ml/kg were injected intraperitoneally at 24 h before MCAO respectively. Neurologic outcome was evaluated at 24 h of reperfusion and scored (0 = no deficit, 4 = unable to crawl, loss of consciousness). The animals were then killed and brains removed. The infarct size was assessed. The apoptotic cells were detected by TUNEL and calculated. The expression of Bax, Bcl-2, cytochrome C and caspase-3 protein was detected by immunohistochemical staining. Results The neurologic deficit scores were significantly lower in emulsified isoflurane preconditioning group than in I/R group. Preconditioning with emulsified isoflurane significantly decreased the infarct size and the number of apoptotic cells and increased the expression of Bcl-2 protein and inhibited the expression of Bax, cytochrome C and caspace-3 protein. Conclusion Emulsified iscflurane preconditioning can protect the brain from focal cerebral I/R by increasing Bcl-2 protein expression and decreasing Bax protein expression, and reducing cytochrome C release from mitochondria, caspase-3 activation and neuronal apoptosis.

Objective To observe the efficacy of Lipo PGE combined with Shuxuetong injection in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Methods The 68 DPN patients were randomly divided into treatment group with Lipo PGE plus Shuxuetong injection and comparison group with Shuxuetong alone. The treatment period was 14 days. Results The pain, numbness,paresthesia and other symptoms in the limbs of patients were significantly reduced in treatment group than in comparison group (P＜0. 01). At the same time, the conduction velocity of median nerve and sural nerve was significantly increased in treatment group after treatment (P＜0.05), there were no significant differences in comparison group before and after the treatment. Conclusions The treatment of DPN with Lipo PGE combined with Shuxuetong injection is safe and effective.

Objective To investigate the effect of elemene on leptin, AFP and liver function of patients with advanced liver cancer.Methods 73 cases with advanced liver cancer of our hospital were selected and according to the random number table method were randomly assigned for two groups:control group (37 cases) were given routine clinical therapy;experimental group (36 cases) were treated on the basis of the control group with elemene injection.leptin, AFP ,CRP and liver function were compared after the treatment.ResuIts Compared with control group post-treatment, the leptin level in the experimental group was higher, CRP was lower(P<0.05); the serum level of AFP, CEA and CA199 were lower (P<0.05), the ALT, TBIL, AST, PT were lower ( P<0.05 ) , and the total effective rate was significantly higher ( P<0.05 ) .ConcIusion Elemene injection can improve liver function, elevate serum leptin level, reduce the levels of CRP, tumor marker levels and improve the quality of life .

Therefore, the study of autophagy related signal transduction pathways may provide a new therapeutic target for ischemic brain injury. Object To investigate the pathological changes,physiological condition,neurobehavior and motor development of the 3-day-old rats with ischemic brain injury.Methods Ninety six 3-day-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups.Occlusion of both carotid arteries was performed in the experimental group,while the rats in the control group only received skin incisions without carotid ligation.Physical examinations and neurobehavioral development of the rats were recorded daily from the first day after operation until 3 weeks after birth,including weight,eye opening, incisor eruption,ear unfolding,righting reflex,negative geotaxis,limb placing and grasping reflex. Specimens of the brain tissue were obtained in 24 hours after operation and 3 weeks after birth for the hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunohistochemistry staining to investigate the pathological changes.All the reaults were compared between the 2 groups.Results Compared with the control group,rats in the experimental group were found growth retardation,suppression of primitive reflexes and impaired motor abilities (P < 0.05 ).The brain tissue obtained from the rats after operation showed white matter rarefaction,liquefaction and microglia hyperplasia with Hematoxylin-eosin staining and myelin formation disorder with immunohistochemistry staining.Conclusions Ischemic brain injury of the 3-day-old rats could result the mental retardation,neurobehavioral and motor development disorder because of the white matter injury.

OBJECTIVE: To establish the HPLC method for the determination of chloramphenicol and dapsone in compound chloramphenicol cream. METHODS: The analytical column was Hypersil ODS and the mobile phase consisted of 0.1%sodium heptanesulfonate solution (a mixture of 0.1% sodium heptanesulfonate 500 mL and dimethylformamide 5 mL plus acetic acid glacial 0.5 mL)-acetonitrile (75∶25) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1. The detection wavelength was 272 nm and the sample size was 20 ?L. RESULTS: The linear ranges of chloramphenicol and dapsone were 25.59～153.54 ?g?mL-1 (r=0.999 9) and 12.57～75.42 ?g?mL-1 (r=0.999 9), respectively. The average recovery rates were 100.62% (RSD=0.92%) and 100.93% (RSD=1.22%), respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is simple and accurate and can be used for the quality control of compound chloramphenicol cream.
