Conclusion The effect of the combined application of mannitol and monosialoganglioside on cerebral edema after cerebral hemorrhage is exact and could improve neurologic function.
4.Mechanism of Spontaneous Rupture of Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(02):-
Objective To study the mechanism of spontaneous rupture of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods Articles have been reviewed to find out the theory of spontaneous rupture of HCC.Results Researchful results suggested that the injury of small arteries was usually followed in patients of spontaneous rupture of HCC.In this review, the immune complex, which composed of hepatitis B virus e antigen, complement C1q and immunoglobulins, was found deposited in the elastic membrane of arteries.Likely as a result of immune complex deposition, vascular injury occurs mainly in the small arteries where the deposition of immune complex was present. The small arteries in which immune complex deposited are readily injuried and cause hemorrhage and rupture of HCC during vascular load increase. Conclusion We would conclude that immune complex deposition in vessel wall led to the small arteries injury may be the factor involved in the pathogenesis of spontaneous ruptured HCC.

A gas chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry coupled with solid phase microextraction method ( SPME-GC/QQQ) was developed for the determination of chlorinated anilines ( CAs) residues in soil. The multi-reaction monitoring ( MRM ) parameters were optimized. The SPME conditions such as amount of soil sample, volume of added water, extraction temperature and absorption time were investigated. Optimum SPME conditions including 8 g of soil sample, 4 mL of water, 80℃ of extraction temperature and 40 min of absorption time were employed in the experiment. Method detection limits were within the range of 1-10 pg/g, while linearities were within the range of 5-1000 pg/g. Under the optimized conditions, the soil samples spiked with 200 pg/g targets were determined with recoveries of 96. 8%-144. 2%and relative standard deviations of 13 . 4%-27 . 8% ( n=5 ) . The proposed method combines simplicity and rapidity of SPME and high selectivity of MRM. It is especially suitable for the quick screening and determination of trace amounts of chlorinated anilines residues in soil.

BACKGROUND:Traditional bladder repair methods have many problems such as damage to normal organ function and many postoperative complications. Tissue engineering technology provides a new way for bladder repair.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the feasibility of constructing tissue-engineered bladder with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) nanoparticle-bacterial celulose (BC) composite scaffold with rabbit lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels.
METHODS:Rabbit lingual epithelial cels andmuscle cels were successively implanted onto the BC scaffold (control group) and VEGF-BC scaffold (experimental group). Six rabbits were taken to make bladder defect models and randomized into two groups: experimental group implanted with VEGF-BC scaffold carrying autologous lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels, and control group implanted with BC scaffold carrying autologous lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels. Specimens were taken from the two groups for urographic evaluation and histological examination at 3 months after implantation. Meanwhile, the urodynamic tests were performed.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The experimental group showed the relatively complete bladder, and the control group showed a smal-area filing defect of the bladder. The maximum bladder capacity and bladder compliance in both two groups were decreased after implantation, especialy significantly in the control group (P< 0.05). In the control group, it failed to build a complete epithelial cel layer, and the muscle layer and microvessels were formed a little. In the experimental group, the complete epithelial cel layer was formed, and a larger amount of muscle layers and capilaries appeared. These findings indicate that the VEGF-BC scaffold carrying lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels can be used to construct thetissue-engineered bladder.

Objectives 99mTc-methoxyisobutylisonitrile (MIBI) SPECT imaging technology was used to observe the condition of tumor cell in-taking imaging agent in the C57BL/6J mice Lewis lung cancer model before and after using Ginsenoside Rg3 (short for Rg3).We aimd so as to discuss the feasibility of using this method to evaluate tumor multidrug resistance (MDR) status. Methods Mice Lewis lung cancer models were randomly divided into Rg3 group and the control group. After applying Rg3,semi-quantitative analysis was made on 99mTc-MIBI SPECT imaging and region of interest (ROI) to observe the multidrug resistance state of tumor and then the results were compared with the detection results of flow cytometry. Results The tumor intake ratio (T/N) difference between the control group and the Rg3 group in imaging, imaging before applying Rg3 and imaging after applying Rg3 were separately 15,60 and 120 min.The differences were statistical significant (P < 0.01).The eliminate indexes (WR) of the control group and Rg3 group were positively related to P-gp protein expression positive cells detected by flow cytometry (P < 0.05).Conclusions 99mTc-MIBI imaging is negatively related to P-glycoprotein (P-gp) expression in mice Lewis lung cancer cells, which can clearly show the multidrug resistance state of tumors and dynamically monitor the effect of Rg3 on multidrug resistance reversion of mice Lewis lung cancer.

Objective Surgical treatment of lung cancer needs to follow strict quality control standard for the aims of accuracy of pathological staging and potentially improved prognosis. However, there are short of studies related to surgical quality analysis. Methods One hundred and twelve patients were enlisted with the diagnosis of lung cancer and received surgical intervention in 2007.Surgical quality of these cases were retrospectively analyzed in compliance with three international standards,National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN),American College of Surgeons’ Oncology Group (ACOSOG),and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).Results No surgical death was reported in this group.According to NCCN,ACOSOG and IASLC standards, qualified operations were 82 cases (80.4%),73 cases (71.6%),45 cases (44.1%) in 102 cases with R0 resection, respectively. The median total lymph nodes, median mediastinal nodes, and N1 nodes were 27 (range 0-63),16.5 (range 0-43),and 10.5 (range 0-26),respectively.The median mediastinal node stations resected were 4 (range 0-6).In the mediastinum, stations of 4R,5,6 and 7 presented the highest frequency of receiving lymph node dissection. For N1 stations,10 and 12 were among the top list. For the whole group,1-year survival,3-year survival and 4-year survival were 92% (95% CI,89-95),67% (95% CI,62-72),57% (95% CI,52-62),respectively.Conclusion Quality control is the essential part of surgical treatment of lung cancer, which will facilitate the baseline standardization of clinical research.Since IASLC provides the strictest standard for lung cancer surgery,we suggest that all thoracic surgeons need to follow this standard to secure the accuracy of pathological diagnosis and for a potential better prognosis.
