3.The development status and countermeasures of the foreign postgraduate students education
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2014;13(10):985-987
This article conducted a study on the foreign postgraduate students in Chongqing Medical University from the development scope, resources of students, major distribution, finical supporting from the year of 2006 to 2012.Based on the former analysis,it is found that students are of poor quality. There are very less Chinese learning channels. It is very urgent to optimize enrollment and improve the quality of students. There should be multi-channel expansion of Chinese learning and training refined Chinese expert.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum visfatin and glucose metabolism disorder in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods Seventy eight patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) were selected, and, according to the results of glucose tolerance test and insulin release test (OGTT),were divided into normal OGTT without insulin resistance (NONIR) group (n =32 cases),OGTT normal with hyper insulinemia (HI) group (n =25 cases),and OGTT abnormalities that may be associated with hyper insulinemia (also known as abnormal glucose metabolism (AGM) group; n =21 cases).Sixteen cases of tubal infertility women were selected as control group in the same period. The relationship between serum visfatin and glucose metabolism was analyzed and related to various factors. The changes of relevant indicators of PCOS patients who were treated before and after treatment were observed in AGM group. Results In AGM Group,PCOS patient's menstrual cycle, testosterone (T),luteinizing hormone (LH)/follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),visfatin, triglyceride (TG),homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMAIR) were higher than control group (P < 0.05).The age at menarche, menstrual cycles, infertility time,waist-hip ratio (WHR),systolic blood pressure,T,estradiol (E2),and LH/FSH were no significant difference between AGM group versus NONIR group or HI group (P >0.05).However,the body mass index (BMI),waist circumference, diastolic blood pressure,HOMA-IR,and TG in AGM group were significantly higher than NONIR group, and older than HI group; visfatin in AGM group was higher than NONIR group or HI group (P < 0.05).Visfatin was positively correlated with BMI,waist circumference, fasting insulin (FINS),fasting plasma glucose (FPG),HOMA-IR,and TG (r =0.423 ~ 0.847,P =0.01 ~ 0.04).After 3 months of treatment,8 cases AGM patients' serum visfatin,HOMA-IR,and blood pressure were significantly decreased (P < 0.05).Conclusions High serum visfatin may be one predictor of glucose metabolism in patients with PCOS.Especially, the patients with obesity should be highly vigilant glucose metabolism disorder occurring and should be given positive joint programs treatment for weight control.

Objective To investigate the location and expression of Fas/FasL in the salivary glands of patients with primary Sjgren′s syndrome (SS).Methods Expression of Fas and Fas ligand (FasL) in salivary gland biopsy material was detected in situ by immunohistochemical technique. Results Fas/FasL were strongly expressed in the acinar and ductal epithelial cells in SS.In contrast, few Fas/FasL were expressed in the salivary glands of normal subjects. The majority of infiltrating lymphocytes in SS did not express Fas/FasL.The number of infiltrating lymphocytes area was not associated with the acinar and ductal epithelial cells in SS.Conclusion These results suggest that the expression of Fas/FasL in the acinar and ductal epithelial cells may be an important mechanism leading to the glandular destruction found in SS.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection and the incidence of gastric mucosal lesions in type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)and diabetic kidney disease(DKD)patients with dyspepsia symptoms. Methods A total of 241 type 2 diabetic patients and 69 non -diabetic subjects with dyspeptic symptoms were enrolled in the study.Gastroduodenal lesions were observed by gastrointestinal endoscopy and the presence of Helicobacter pylori infection was identified by rapid urease test and serum IgG antibodies to Helicobacter pylori.Urine albumin excretion rate(UAE)at 24 hours was measured in all subjects.According to the urinary albumin excretion rate, patients were classified into diabetes mellitus group(DMgroup, with UAE <30mg/24h),diabetic kidney disease group 1(DKD group 1,with UAE 30mg/24h to <300mg/24h)and diabetic kidney disease group 2(DKD group 2 >300mg/24h).Estimated glomerular filtration rate were above 60mL·min -1 ·(1.73m2 )-1 in the three groups of patients. The 69 cases of non -diabetic subjects were used as the control group. Results The prevalence of H pylori infection in the DKD group[145 /72(62.5%)]and the DKD group 2[34 /53(64.15%)]were significantly higher than those in the control group[28 /65(43.1%)](χ2 =3.901,P =0.04;χ2 =4.223,P =0.03)and the DM group [27 /63 (42.9%)](χ2 =4.104,P =0.04;χ2 =5.116,P =0.03).No significant differences of H.pylori prevalence were detected between the DKD groups(χ2 =1.304,P =0.29)as well as the DMgroup and the control group (χ2 =0.723,P =0.40).Gastroscopy results showed that the incidence of normal endoscopic performance in the DMgroup was higher than that of the control group(57.1% vs.38.5%,χ2 =4.612,P =0.03).There were no significant differences between the control group and DM group,DKD1 group and DKD2 group in the incidence of gastric mucosal lesions (Superficial gastritis:χ2 =1.206,0.912,0.707;erosive gastritis:χ2 =1.422,1.836 0.870;duodenal ulcer:χ2 =243.1, 1.716,2.233;gastric ulcer:χ2 =1.440,0.971,1.322 and esophagitis:χ2 =2.116,2.318,2.488,all P >0.05). Conclusion Diabetic nephropathy patients are more susceptible to Helicobacter pylori infection. There is no significant difference in the infection rate of Helicobacter pylori between type 2 diabetic nephropathy with microalbuminuria and with macroalbuminuria. There are no significant differences in the type of gastric mucosal lesion between Type 2 diabetes mellitus, diabetic nephropathy patients and non diabetic patients.
