4.Clinical analysis of multiple myeloma in patients over 80 years old:A report of 11 cases
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2014;(13):849-852
This study aimed to explore clinical features of multiple myeloma in patients over 80 years old. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 11 cases of multiple myeloma over 80 years old, which were diagnosed from 2000 to 2013 in our hospital. Results:The mean age was 83.5 years. All patients had more than two complicated diseases, and the performance status was poor in the majority of the patients. Ten cases received individualized treatments. The results showed that three patients had progressed, one patient achieved complete remission, three patients achieved partial remission, and four patients achieved minor remission. Median survival time was 28 months. The causes of death included six progressed myelomas, three pneumonias, and two acute myocardial infarctions. Conclusion: Patients aged 80 years old with myeloma are often at a late stage. Treatment should be individualized based on patient status. Survival time was evidently prolonged in very elderly patients with MM after individualized treatments, particularly in patients in stagesⅠandⅡ.
5.Hand-assisted laparoscopic liver resection without hand-port devices: Report of 8 cases
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the feasibility of hand-assisted laparoscopic liver resection without hand-port devices. Methods Eight patients were selected into the study, including 5 cases of primary liver cancer located at the segment Ⅳ or Ⅴ or the left lateral lobe, 2 cases of liver spongy hemangioma and 1 case of hepatic focal nodular hyperplasia. After the laparoscopic devices were set up, an oblique incision below the right costal margin was made. The length of the incision was the same as the operator’s wrist. In the absence of hand-port or “blue disc”, the operator’s left hand directly entered the abdominal cavity through the incision. With the assistance of operator’s left hand, the laparoscopic liver resection was conducted, with the ligaments surrounding the liver dissociated, the liver transected and the cut surface properly managed. Results Laparoscopic liver resection was performed successfully in all the 8 patients. The operation time ranged 90~180 min (mean, 118 min), and the blood loss was 50~ 300 ml (mean, 160 ml). There was no uncontrolled bleeding during the operation and no complication happened. Conclusions Hand-assisted laparoscopic liver resection without hand-port devices is a safe and feasible procedure. It may not only reach the purpose of hand assistance but also lower the surgical costs.

7.Protein transduction technique in differentiation of pancreatic stem cell
International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(9):623-626
As a new biotechnology, protein transduction connects the target fragment with biology active and protein transduction domain, and transducer it in to cells, exert its biological effects. Protein transduc-tion domain is a small molecule peptide, not only the protein transduction domain can penetrate through cell membrane, but could maintain the activity of its fusion protein. Protein transduction is an emerging biology technology, it has been applied into all aspects of cell gene regulation since its invention. In this article, we take Tat, Pdx-1 and Beta/NeuroD for instance and review the application of transduction protein in the dif-ferentiation of pancreatic stem cell.
8.The game analysis for cost management of medical consumable and stakeholder
China Medical Equipment 2017;14(2):112-114,115
Objective:To provide the scientific reference basis in order to establish a perfect cost controlled system for medical consumable. To analyze game factors, such as main resource, the price-off influence and price-off aspiration and so on, from different views, such as medical institutions, patients, manufacturers and other stakeholders and so on, based on game theory and situation of medical consumables management. Methods: To collect the management information of medical consumables cost from a tertiary referral center hospital in Fujian in recent 3 years, and adopt descriptive study to analyze the income situation of medical consumable, medical consumable proportion and medical consumable cost per capita. Results: The medical consumable proportions from 2013-2015 were 14.44%, 16.27% and 18.75%, respectively. Medical consumable cost per patient from 2013-2015 were 3547.95RMB, 4122.3 RMB and 5059.02RMB, respectively. All of these datum contained the drug information. Conclusion: It is obvious that the medical consumable proportions and medical consumable cost per patient were enhancement from 2013 to 2015. The necessity of medical consumable leaded to the direct influence on medical cost. On the other hand, the artificially high price and unreasonable implement of medical consumable are the urgent problems and must be resolved as soon as possible.
