Objective To establish the quality standard of Shilong Qingxue Effervescent Granules. Method Rhizoma curcuma, flos sophorae, cornus officinalis and gamdir vine in Shilong Qingxue Effervescent Granules were identified by TLC. The content of gastrodin in Shilong Qingxue Effervescent Granules was determined by HPLC. Results The TLC spots were highly clear without the interference of negative samples and were reproductive. A good linear for gastrodin was in the range of 14～70 ?g/mL (r=0.999 9). The average recovery was 97.33% (RSD=0.63%). Conclusion This method is simple, rapid and accurate, and can be used for the quality control of Shilong Qingxue Effervescent Granules.

Hepatitis virus NAT reagents are now widely used clinically. However, the qulity of domestic and foreign NAT reagents varies dramatically. The main reasons for these differences including the manufacture technique, test principle and assay procedure were discussed in this paper and current status of the quality control of the NAT reagents were also described. Finally, it was pointed out that strengthening public supervision and laboratory internal control are very important for the quality improvement of the domestic reagents.

Objective To compare the incidence of C5 nerve root palsy after laminoplasty and laminectomy with internal fixation for treating multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (MCSM).Methods From January 2008 to August 2012,98 patients with MCSM were treated with laminoplasty (47 patients,group A) or laminectomy (51 patients,group B) with internal fixation.All the patients were followed up for 13-56(26.5 ± 7.9) months.In both groups,Cobb's method was applied to measure cervical lordotic angle,and Ishihara's method was conducted to measure cervical curvature index (CCI) before and after operation.The incidence of C5 nerveroot palsy was recorded and compared.Results The incidence of C5 nerve root palsy in group A was 2.1％ (1/47),while 21.6 ％ (11/51) in group B (x2 =5.430,P ＜ 0.05).The JOA scores in group A and group B before and after operation and improvement rate of JOA scores had no significant difference (P＞ 0.05).The cervical lordotic angle and CCI in group A and group B before and after operation had no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05).The improvement rate of CCI between two groups had no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05).All of 11 patients with C5 nerve root palsy were group B 1,and other 40 patients were group B2.The improvement rate of CCI in group B1 was significantly higher than that in group B2 [(38.7 ± 18.3)％ vs.(22.1 ± 12.1)％](t =1.772,P＜ 0.05).Conclusions Compared with laminoplasty,laminectomy with internal fixation has a higher incidence of C5 nerve root palsy.The C5 nerve root palsy may be associated with postoperative increase of cervical lordosis angle.Moreover,tethering of the C5 root may he one of its important pathomechanisms.

Objective: To investigate the expression of vasculogenic mimicry (VM) in endometrial carcinoma tissues and its rela-tionship with the clinicopathologic features and prognosis of the disease. Methods: A total of 267 paraffin-embedded endometrial carci-noma specimens of patients with complete follow-up data were collected from the Shijiazhuang Bethune International Peace Hospital between January 2005 and June 2014. CD31-PAS dual staining was performed to identify the VM structure. Tissue samples were then divided into VM-positive and VM-negative groups. CD133 expression was detected by immunohistochemical streptavidin peroxidase method. Results: Among the 267 endometrial carcinoma patients, 65 cases (24.3%) were VM positive. VM formation was closely corre-lated with the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Staging (χ2=9.987, P=0.002), histodifferentiation grade (χ2=11.795, P=0.001), myometrial invasion depth (χ2=5.499, P=0.019), vascular cancer embolus (χ2=22.599, P<0.001), and lymph node me-tastasis (χ2=7.848, P=0.005). Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis showed that survival time was significantly shorter in the VM-posi-tive group (median survival time was 51 months) than in the VM-negative group (median survival time was 100 months) (χ2=70.973, P<0.001). Moreover, CD133 expression was significantly higher in the VM-positive group [75.4% (49/65)] than in the VM-negative group [58.9% (119/202)] (χ2=5.720, P=0.017). Conclusion: VM is closely correlated with the pathogenesis, development, and malignancy of endometrial carcinoma. Furthermore, VM is one of the important indexes influencing the prognosis of this disease. Therefore, CD133-positive cells may contribute to VM formation.

BACKGROUND:Problems can occur at the donor site where the autologous tendon graft is taken. Alogenic tissue has become an important graft option for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament.
OBJECTIVE: To study the clinical curative effect and immune rejection of arthroscopic reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament by alogeneic tendon graft.
METHODS:The 120 included patients with anterior cruciate ligament injury were randomized into autologous tendon graft and alogeneic tendon graft groups, respectively, with 60 patients in each group. The autologous semitendinosus-gracilis graft at the affected side or the alogeneic anterior cruciate ligament was implanted into the knee joint in autologous tendon graft group or alogeneic tendon graft group, respectively. Lachman test results, Lysholm and Larson scores of joint function, and postoperative immune rejection were observed and assessed during 2-year folow-up.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Lysholm and Larson scores in autologous tendon graft and alogeneic tendon graft groups were significantly increased after the reconstruction compared with before the reconstruction; however, there was no difference in the scores between both two groups at 2 years after the reconstruction (P > 0.05). At the end of the folow-up, the normal function of the knee joint was restored, and no lag and flexion constraint of the knee joint were observed. No significant differences were observed in Lachman test results between both groups (P> 0.05). Compared with the autologous tendon graft group, immune rejection rates were higher in the alogeneic tendon graft group; however, no significant differences were observed between both groups (P > 0.05). In summary, the alogeneic tendon graft may be a candidate for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament due to its similar clinical curative effect to the autologous tendon graft and low immune rejection rates.

AIM:To retrospectively analyze the lipid metabolism disturbance and subacute inflammation within the microenvironment of follicular fluid between Chinese polycystic ovarian syndrome ( PCOS ) patients and the controls . METHODS:Serum lipid indexes , steroid hormone levels , and inflammatory cell counts were analyzed .The inflammatory cytokine and apolipoprotein levels were detected in the serum and follicular fluid .The mRNA expression of apolipoproteins and cytokines in the granulose cells was determined by real-time PCR.RESULTS: PCOS patients showed typical obesity accompanied with hyperlipidemia and hyperandrogenemia .Significantly elevated inflammatory cell number and cytokine lev-els were detected in both serum and follicular fluid .The mRNA expression levels of the inflammatory cytokines and apoli-poproteins in the granulose cells from the PCOS patients were higher than those from the controls .CONCLUSION:Elevat-ed apolipoproteins reflect systematic hyperlipidemia in the follicular fluid .Serum lipids and cytokines penetrate follicle-ser-um barrier and get into follicle fluid .Meanwhile , increased intake of apolipoproteins or elevated synthesis of cytokines ( IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α) by granulose cells could also be crucial to stabilize microenvironment of follicular fluid .Oocyte and subsequent embryos are sensitive to the originaal follicular environment .The lipid metabolism disturbance , inflammatory cell infiltration and hyperandrogenemia may possibly disturb oocyte developmental potential .

ObjectiveTo discuss the influence on diagn osing of femoral vein reflux by using the different ultrasound Doppler probing points. MethodsUsing pulse wave(PW) and color Doppler flow imaging, 134 femoral veins in 67 cases of lower limb varicosity were detected at 3 different probing points to check up the deep venous reflux after Valsava maneuver. The ultrasonographic data were compared with the results of venous DSA and operation to analyze the influence on diagnosis. ResultsThe reflux data obtained from the upper point of superficial femoral vein was most correlative with the results of DSA and operation. ConclusionsThe PW is a satisfactory technique in diagnosing the femoral reflux, and the upper point of superficial femoral vein is a most reasonable probing point.

Objective: To investigate the effect of F.nucleatum(Fn) and P. gingivalis(Pg) on soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1) in peri-implant sulcular fluid(PISF).Methods: PCR was used to detect microorganism samples from PISF. According to detection of Fn and Pg, 51 titanium implants in 32 partly edentulous patients were divided into 3 groups. Clinical parameters included PD, mPLI and sICAM-1. Periopaper strips were used to collect PISF and an ELISA technique was applied to measure the levels of sICAM-1.
