1.Dose distribution of oblique incidence electron beam
Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 1992;0(01):-
ObjectiveTo analyze the dose distribution of oblique incidence electron beam. MethodsIn water phantom, the relative dose values were measured along the central axis of electron beam. The slope angles of 80% and 50% isodose lines were measured in the penumbra area. All these measured data were compared with those without oblique angle. Results1. When the oblique incidence angle of electron beam increased, the depth of the maximal dose and the isodose lines of 90%,80%,50% and 10% decreased. 2.The higher the beam energy ,the greater the depth of maximal dose and the isodose lines of 90%,80%,50% and 10%. 3.The effect of oblique incidence was also related to field size. When the beam size increased, the depth of maximal dose and the isodose lines of 90%,80%,50% and 10% decreased. 4. For the same oblique incidence angle, the effect of electron energy is more obvious than that of beam size. 5. Because of the oblique incidence of electron beam, the 80% and 50% isodose lines in the penumbral area would slope up to the direction with air gap and the slope angle was wider than the oblique incidence angle of the electron beam. Conclusions The oblique incidence of electron beam not only reduces the depth of maximum ionization, but also weakens the transmissive ability of electron beam. The weakening extent of the transmissive ability is related to electron energy and field size. In the oblique incidence, the movement of 80% and 50% isodose lines in horizontal direction should be noted, otherwise the dose of some tumor will be very low.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(10):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) in the treatment of bile leaks after laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). Methods A total of 8 patients with bile leak after LC treated by ENBD were retrospectively analysed. Results The 8 patients with bile leak were all cured by ENBD without any severe complications. The healing time for bile leak was only 6-12 d (mean 8.5 d). Conclusion ENBD is a safe and effective nonoperative method to treat postoperative biliary leak.
3.Regulation of telomerase activity and gene therapy for cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(1):17-20
The hTERT gene promoter is a tumor-specific promoter, regulated by a number of factors.Modulation of the chromatin structure via DNA methylation or histone acetylation plays an important role in regulating the hTERT promoter. Recent study also found that glycogen synthase kinase -3 cytokines, macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor 1, bone inducing factor -7, transcription factors c-myc inhibitor, transforming growth factor β, cyclopentenone prostaglandin regulate the activity of hTERT through various pathways. Telomelysin, the telomerase-specific replication competent oncolytic adenovirus, has been used in clinical settings.Various gene therapies based on hTERT are current under-way.
4.MiRNA and breast cancer metastasis
International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(1):46-48
Most deaths of breast cancer patients may be caused by the development of metastases. The latest research suggest that some miRNAs regulated gene expressions related with breast cancer metastasis at post-transcriptional level, which was closely related to invasion and metastasis of breast cancer. This review mainly dicussed the miRNA involved in regulation of invasion and metastasis of breast cancer and their mo-lecular mechanisms.
5.Impact of accelerator's gantry angle on multi-leaf collimator position accuracy
Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2009;18(4):317-320
Objective To study the impact of accelerator's gantry angle on MLC position accuracy. Methods Kodak X-omat-V Films were used, appropriate multi-leaf collimator positions and gantry angles were chosen, precise setup was needed , and the exposal films were analyzed by RIT113 software. Results At all conditions, most of the leaf position errors were less than 0. 5 mm. There were 2 pairs of leaf position errors larger than 1 mm when the gantry angle was 270° and the leaves moved from left to right. Conclu-sions Gantry angle can affect the accuracy of multi-leaf collimator position. Gravity and inertia increase the uncertainty of leaf position accuracy. Prieise setup is critical for the dose measurement.
6.The nutritional therapy of cholestatic liver disease in infants
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(10):901-904
There are various causes of cholestatic liver disease in infants that include extrahepatic biliary tract diseases, liver diseases, anatomical abnormality, metabolic or endocrine diseases, poisoning, infection, and so on. The causes leads to re-duction or interruption in bile lfow and thus results in nutrients malabsorption and comprehensive metabolic disorder. The aims of nutritional therapy for cholestatic liver disease are to reduce the risk of cholestasis related complications, to promote recov-ery of liver diseases, to restore bile flow, to promote growth and improve the comprehensive metabolic disorders, to improve quality of life and to prepare children for liver transplantation.
7.Research progress of molecular mechanism on miR-29 family for regulating the formation, development and metastasis of breast cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2016;28(7):490-493
MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a non-encoding small molecular RNA, is entitled to regulate gene expression after transcription, which plays a key role in the progress of tumorigenesis, growth and metastasis. MiR-29 family consists in miR-29a, miR-29b and miR-29c, all featured by the regulation of breast cancer. This review will summarize the regulation and molecular mechanism of miR-29 family in all critical stages of breast cancer, and evaluate the value of miR-29 as a new diagnostic and prognostic biomarker or therapeutic target.
8.Clinical Analysis on 112 Episodes of Urinary Tract Infection in Patients with Lupus Nephritis.
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(10):-
Objective To analyze the clinical feature and its risk factors on 112 episodes of urinary tract infection (UTI) in patients with lupus nephritis. Methods 112 episodes of UTI in patients with lupus nephritis in our department during the past 5 years were reviewed retrospectively. Epidemiological data and information on urinary symptoms, disease activity (SLEDAI) , leukocyte and platelet data were collected. Autoantibodies, complement levels, urine culture, and antibiogram were determined. Urological studies were carried out. The use of corticosteroids and (or) immunodepressive were also investigated. Results The prevalence of UTI in lupus nephritis patients was 36.5% , and complexity infection(58%) was the main UTI . Symptomatic UTI was 62% , and symptomless UTI was 38% . The mean SLEDAI score was 15.7(SD3.05) , which influenced the onset of UTI (P1/100 IU/ml, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia (P
9.Inhibition of human lung carcinoma-associated antigen gene (ALT04-AG) expression on human lung carcinoma cell line growth and gene expression profile
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(10):-
Objective To study the effect of inhibition of human lung carcinoma-associated antigen gene(ALT04-AG) expression on the growth characteristic and associated gene expression of human lung carcinoma cells(L78).Methods L78 cells were transfected with recombinant plasmid vector expressing(ALT04-AG) antisense RNA mediated by liposome reagent, and treated with DFMO respectively. The growth characteristics were studied by MTT,FCM analysis. The associated gene expression was detected by immunocytochemical staining,Northern blot and gene chip analysis. Results The recombinant plasmid expressing ALT04-AG antisense RNA pALT04-AG as constructed. It was shown that the down-regulation of ALT04-AG gene expression was observed not only in pALT04-AG as transfected L78 cells, but also in DFMO-treated L78 cells, which resulted in growth inhibition of these cells.Gene chip analysis indicated that inhibition of(ALT04AG) gene expression by ALT04-AG antisense RNA regulated some proliferation associated gene expression, while inhibition of polyamine biosynthesis by DFMO regulated proliferation associated genes and also some apoptosis associated genes. Conclusion It is suggested that human lung carcinoma associated antigen gene ALT04-AG plays an essential role in maintaining malignant phenotype of cancer cells.
10.Detection of memory function in patients with chronic insomnia with nine boxes maze
Chinese Journal of Neurology 2011;44(8):524-527
Objective To explore memory function affected by chronic insomnia. Methods Fiftyfive patients with primary insomnia (PI), 119 patients with comorbidity of depression and insomnia (CDI)and 50 normal individuals were enrolled. Objective memories, including spatial working memory, spatial reference memory, objective working memory and object reference memory, were detected by nine boxes maze, and subjective memory was assessed by themselves on a 5-point scale ranging from 0 ( extremely severe problem) to 4 (no problem). Results Compared to the controls, the self-evaluated memory ( 1( 1,2 ) ) was worse in the mild PI patients, and the spatial working memory ( 6 ( 2. 5,11 ) ) was also worse in the severe PI patients( ×2 = 4. 526,3. 529, both P < 0. 01 ). For the CDI, the self-evaluated memory ( 2 ( 1,2) ) and spatial working memory (6(3,10)) were worse in the mild patients(×2 =5. 803,4. 155 ,both P <0. 01 ). However, the object ( 0. 5 (0,1) ) and spatial reference ( 1.5 ( 1, 3 ) ) memories were also worse in the severe patients ( ×2 =2. 641,3. 955 ,both P <0. 01 ). Conclusions PI damages subjective memory and the severe PI also damages spatial working memory. CDI damages various memory functions, especially in severe CDI patients, including subjective memory, object reference memory, spatial reference memory and spatial working memory.
