Abstract: Objective By analyzing the monitoring results of rodents in Hainan Province in 2022, the species composition, distribution, seasonal fluctuation, and density of rodents were understood and mastered, and the correlation between rodent density and meteorological factors in Haikou was explored, so as to provide a scientific basis for vector control and prevention and control of rodent-borne infectious diseases. Methods Using the night cage method, according to the "2022 Hainan Province Rodent Monitoring Implementation Plan”, monitoring was conducted in 17 cities and counties every two months starting from January. Excel 2021 software was used to sort out the monitoring data and draw the chart, and SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical analysis. Spearman correlation analysis was used for the correlation between rodent density and meteorological factors. Results In 2022, the overall rodent density in Hainan Province was 4.32% (1 166/27 008). Brown rat (Rattus norvegicus) was the dominant species, accounting for 72.21% (842/1 166) of the total captures. In terms of area, the highest rodent density was 27.27% (367/1 346) in Changjiang County, followed by Haikou, Wanning, and Sanya, with rodent densities of 8.59% (155/1 804), 6.55% (77/1 176), and 5.11% (81/1 586), respectively. Different habitat types had different rodent densities, with the highest in rural residential areas at 4.49% (402/8 962); key industries (dining, food manufacturing and sales, construction sites, slaughtering, brewing, etc.) had a density of 4.41% (404/9 153); and urban residential areas had a density of 4.05% (360/8 893). In terms of seasonal fluctuation, the overall rodent density showed a downward trend after reaching its peak in May. The peak rodent density in rural residential areas was in July (5.73%), there was no distinct peak period in urban residential areas, and the peak period for key industries occurred in May (6.87%). Spearman correlation analysis showed that the rodent density in Haikou was positively correlated with average temperature and accumulated sunshine time (r=0.90, 0.9; P<0.05). Conclusions The density of rodents in Hainan Island is relatively high. Cities and counties need to compare annual monitoring data to reasonably assess the risk and formulate appropriate control measures according to the actual local situation.

Objective To observe the effect o f selective prostaglandins EP 1 receptor antagonist SC19220 on the afferent activity of C unit in the saphenous nerve of diabetic rats. Methods The response of C units to sustained 1 min threshol d and suprathreshold stimuli was measured following intradermal injection of EP 1 receptor antagonist SC19220 into the receptive field of C unit of the sa phenous nerve in control and diabetic rats. Results The mechanical threshold of C units in diabetic rat s was obviously decreased compared with that of control rats (P

Objective To study the galactagogue effect of Maidang Rutong Granules on the lactation rats. Methods The milk volume, morphology of mammary gland, serum prolactin level and pituitary acidophil number in lactation rats and the growth improvement in suckling mice were observed after administrating various dosages of Maidang Rutong Granules to lactation rats by gastric gavage. Results Maidang Rutong Granules can promote the dilation and hyperplasia of acinus cavity and conduit in mammary gland, reduce the mammary interlobular fat connective tissue, significantly increase pituitary acidophil number and serum prolactin level, increase the milk volume of lactation rats and their offspring's body weight. Conclusion Maidang Rutong Granules exhibit significant galactagogue effect on lactation rats.

ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between ORMDL3 gene polymorphism and Asthma in children.Methods178 cases of children with asthma were divided into mild group and severe group, and 129 cases of children were treated as normal control group who tested blood samples in the PLA General Hospital and its Affiliated Hospital in the recent 4 years. ORMDL3 gene locus rs7216389 genotype was detected, including PCR, restriction endonuclease analysis and bio-statistical aspects of analysis.ResultsThere was significant difference (P<0-05) in 3 genotypes (CC\TC\TT). There was no significant difference in TT between the mild group and the control group (P>0-05). The rate of severe group was higher than that in the mild and the control groups(P<0-05). Asthmas in children showed higher T allele frequency.ConclusionORMDL3 gene polymorphism showed a certain relevance with asthma in children.

Objective To investigate the altered expression of muscarinic receptor 2 (M_2 receptor) in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN) of Parkinson's disease (PD) model rat by immunocytochemical technique and explore the role of M_2 receptor in etiopathogenesis and pathophysiological changes of PD. Methods Sixteen healthy SD rats were divided randomly into two groups. Rat monoclonal antibody against the M_2 receptor was used. Then we used positive cell counting and optical density as indicators to analyze the altered expression of M_2 receptor in PPN of PD model rats. Results The counting of M_2 receptor positive cells in the PPN was not obviously changed in normal rats and the unlesioned side of PD rats (P>0.05), whereas a significant decrease was observed when compared to that in normal rats and the lesioned side of PD rats, respectively (P<0.05). However, the positive intensity in the three groups did not differ significantly. Conclusion The results indicate that there was a degenerative death or receptor loss of M_2 receptor positive cells in the lesioned PPN of PD rats. The expression intensity of M_2 receptor positive cells without degenrative death or receptor loss was not affected. It was also found that the factor affecting the change of M_2 receptor positive cells in the PPN involved only one side.

Objective To assess the predictive value of short-latency somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP) in the acute phase of stroke regarding functional recovery. Methods One hundred and fifty stroke patients were included. SSEPs were recorded on the first 7 days after stroke, and the patients were then stratified into groups with absent, abnormal and normal responses. Clinical state was determined according to the NIH stroke scale (NIHSS), the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA), the modified Barthel index (MBI) and the modified Rankin scale (MRS). SSEP was followed up at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Results The NIHSS and FMA scores were significantly different comparing any two groups or at different times in the same group. The median SSEP N20 latency and tibial nerve SSEP P40 latency during stroke were positively correlated with MRS scores 12 months later but negatively correlated with MBI results. The ADL results 12 months after stroke were used to evaluate functional recovery, and the prediction rate of the SSEP results alone was 40.8% , however the rate improved to 44.2% when SSEP results were combined with FMA scores and became 46.1% when SSEP, FMA and MRS results were all considered. Conclusion SSEP has independent predictive value regarding functional recovery after stroke. Combined assessment of initial FMA, MRS and SSEP substantially improves the predictive power for stroke prognosis.
