Objective:To give the test in cases of changing the conditions of measurement and reference value, compare the test results, and detect the capacity of QuickCheck, so as to offer reference for the daily morning check of accelerator and the evaluation of test results. Methods:Change the output dose, field size, SSD, angle of collimator and gantry angle of the accelerator, and then evaluate QuickCheck’s capacity of monitoring accelerator accordingly. Compare the field parameters measured by QuickCheck with the data from the 3D water tank. Results:When the output dose was 1 cGy higher than the reference value or 6 cGy lower than it, the field size expanded or contracted more than 2 cm simutaneouly, SSD was 2 cm higher or 1 cm lower than reference value, the collimator rotated more than 2 °, the gantry angle rotated more than 6 °, and then the test results of QuickCheck surpassed threshold. Comparing the measuring results of QuickCheck with 3D water tank, the difference between the flatness of the two was 3.84%, symmetry (G/T) 0.67%, symmetry (L/R) 0.47%and dose rate 1.2 MU/min. Conclusion:QuickCheck is rather accurate in testing the output dose, field size, angle of collimator, flatness, symmetry and dose rate, so it could meet the requirement of accelerator’s daily QA. However, its capability is relatively poor on examining SSD and the deviation of gantry angle.

BACKGROUND: Wound healing is a complex biological process regulated temporally and spatially by many repair factors. Studies have showed the predominant expression of cytokines in wound healing process, which is a kind of molecular vital reaction, and may be a new reference index in wound age estimation. But the precise relation of the expressions of cytokines and distribution to wound age is not clear.OBJECTIVE: To probe into the relation of the expressions of cytokines and distribution to wound age in the healing process of the mouse skin wounds.DESIGN: A randomized controlled confirmation study based on the experimental animalsSETTING: Department of Pathology of the First Military University of Chinese PLA, which is a key laboratory of molecule oncology of Chinese PLA.MATERIALS: The study was completed in the Key Laboratory of Molecule Oncdogy of Chinese PLA from July to September in 2003. Sixty-five Kunming mice of either gender, weighing 25 - 28 g, were involved.INTERVENTIONS: The mice were randomly divided into the experimental and the control group. The mice in the experimental group were divided into 12 subgroups according to the different times of trauma. The mice were killed at the following time intervals: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 6hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours, 1 week or 2 weeks after wound and the wounded skin was excised( n = 5 each). As a control, 5mice without wounding were examined.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The amount and distribution of staining positive inflammation and repair cells in skin wound tissues.RESULTS: Persistent positive expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) was seen in the epidermal cells and sebaceous gland cells. The expressions of transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in the epidermal cells were increased at 3 hours after incision and lasted till 12 hours and 48 hours respectively. There was a similar distribution in the positive amount of inflammation and repair cells among VEGF, TGF-β1 and bFGF. Six hours after injury, some of neutrophils showed positive reactions. After 12 hours, macrophages and fibroblasts were mainly positive cells. The number of the positive cells was increased with wound age,and the peak occurred at 96 hours. There were still some positive macrophages and fibroblasts at week 1 and week 2 after the incision.CONCLUSION: There was a time-related expression of TGF-β1 and bFGF in the epidermal cells in mouse skin wounds. The amount and distribution of inflammation and repair cells that express VEGF, TGF-β1 and bFGF were changed in a time-related manner in the healing process of mouse skin wounds.

Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 1988;0(04):-
In order to explore the relationship between the expression of TGF ? 1,its receptor and the wound age during the healing process of rats skin incision wound,a preliminary study were performed on the vital skin wound 0 5~168h after injury by using the immunohistochemical and the molecular biological methods. The results were then compared with those of the postmortem skin injury. The results revealed that the expression of the cytokine TGF ? 1 in the epithelial cells were enhanced 0 5h after the antemortem skin incision and the strongest reactions were seen at 24~96h post injury. The expression of TGF ? 1 was also found in the macrophages and the fibroblasts in the granulation tissues.Analysis of the immunoblotting(Western blot)results showed that the peak value of the TGF ? 1 protein was appeared at 168h after the antemortem skin incision and peaked at 96h.TGF ? 1 was detected 0 5~3h after postmorten skin injury by using the immunohistochemical method. No expression of mRNA was found. It is suggested that some regular and characteristic expression of TGF ? 1 in the incised skin wounds were related with the wound age.It might be used for timing of skin wound on rat.

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2003;0(05):-
Objective To compare the clinical results of photodynamic therapy(PDT) and transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) for patients with choroidal neovascularization caused by exudative age-related macular degeneration. Methods Seventy cases (82 eyes) with exudative AMD were divided into PDT and TTT groups. Thirty-five cases (42 eyes) were treated with PDT. Nineteen eyes had occult or predominantly occult CNV. Twenty-three eyes had classic or predominantly classic CNV. Thirty-five cases (40 eyes) were treated with TTT. Twenty-five eyes had occult or predominantly occult CNV. Fifteen eyes had classic or predominantly classic CNV. Visual acuity, FFA, ICGA and OCT were evaluated before and after treatment. All cases were subfoveal or juxtafoveal CNV. The follow-up was (3-6 months.) Results Visual acuity in 3 eyes (15.8%) of PDT group and 1 eye (4.0%) in TTT group increased at least 2 lines. The difference was no significant(P=0.1778), FFA showed cessation or reduction of fluorescein leakage from CNV in 15 eyes(78.9%) in PDT group and 13 eyes(52.0%) in TTT group. The difference was not significant (P=0.0657). Three months after treatment, The visual acuity of 2 eyes(10.5%) in PDT group and 2 eyes (8.0%) in TTT group increased at least 2 lines. The difference was not significant (P=0.7728). FFA showed cessation or reduction of fluorescein leakage from CNV in 8 eyes(42.1%) in PDT group and 21 eyes(84.0%) in TTT group. The difference was significant (P=0.0037). Conclusion For classic CNV, the short-term effect of PDT is better than TTT concerning visual acuity. The effect of PDT is apparently better than TTT in cessation or reduction of fluorescein leakage one month after treatment. But there was no significant difference between PDT and TTT in cessation or reduction of fluorescein leakage three month after treatment. For occult CNV, there is no significant short-term difference between PDT and TTT concerning visual acuity. There was no significant difference between PDT and TTT in cessatin or reduction of fluorescein leakage one month after treatment. But three month after treatment TTT is apparently better than PDT in cessation or reduction of fluorescein leakage. We need more cases and longer follow -up to evaluate these two kinds of treatments in treating exudative age-related macular degeneration.
