Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(09):-
Through a critical study of herbalogy,it is concluded that the botanical origin of Langdu should be the dried root of Stellera chamaejasme L. of family Thymelaeaceae, while the dried roots of Euphorbia fischeriana Steud. and E. ebracteolata Hayata of family Euphorbiaceae used at present as Langdu are respectively Luru and Caoluru recorded in the ancient herbalogical works.
2.Simultaneous Determination of 4 Kinds of Flavonoids in Radix Astragali by HPLC
China Pharmacy 2005;0(15):-
OBJECTIVE:To develop an HPLC method for simultaneous determination of calycosin-7-O-?-D-glycoside,ono-nin,calycosin and formononetin in Radix Astragali from eleven different habitats and to explore the internal factors of geoherbalism based on aspect of contents of active constituents. METHODS:The sample was separated on Zorbax Eclipse XDB-C18(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m)column. The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.2% formic acid solution (gradient elution). The UV detection wavelength was set at 280 nm. RESULTS:The linear ranges of calycosin-7-O-?-D-glycoside,ononin,calycosin and formononetin were 0.005 1~0.510 mg?mL-1,0.005 0~0.300 mg?mL-1,0.004 9~0.294 mg?mL-1,0.004 6~0.276 mg?mL-1,respectively(r=0.999 9).Calycosin-7-O-?-D-glycoside and ononin took up a big proportion in Radix Astragali from Inner Mongolia and Shanxi; calycosin and formononetin took up a big proportion in Radix Astragali from Anguo,Chicheng of Hebei province and Dingxi of Gansu province. CONCLUSION:The method is simple, rapid and accurate. Results of study are in line with textual research on Radix Astragali.

An HPLC method for the quantitative analysis of bis (5-formyl-furfuryl ) -ether an d 2, 4-dihydroxy-6- methoxy-3-methyl- acetophenone in Chinese drug,Langduc (Euphorbia ebracteolata)was developed. The solvent system used was methanol-water-10% acid (45 : 55 : 2 ) (adjusted to pH 5.4 by 10% ammonia ) on ODS columm at 289nm.Tetrahydro palmatine was used as an internal standard. The operation can be completed in 30min.This method is sensitive, simple and accurate with good reproducibility. It can be applied to the quality control of the crude drug of E. ebracteolata.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(3):269-271
Objective In order to investigate the situation application of compound Danshen injection (CDI) in the treatment and to provide reference for clinical rational use. Methods Adverse drug reactions (ADR) report literatures through WANFANG DATA, VIP DATA and CNKI from 1989 to 2013 with (CDI) were retrieved the data including patient age, gender, medical history, dosage, medication time and ADR type were got and analyzed. Results One hundred and twenty-one literatures with one hundred and forty-eight ADR report cases wore retrieved. The ADR of (CDI) rate of male was higher than female. The original disease causes were cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The age, a rather elderly bunch, was not associated with the disease. The frequent onest time of adverse reaction was in 5-20 min after medication, and allergic reaction was the main adverse reaction. Conclusion The ADR of CDI should not be ignored. Patients constitution, gender, medication time and the combined application should be pay more attention to reduce the incidence of ADR and ensure the drug safety.

Objective To observe the effect ofTripterygium Wilfordii Hook. F. andTripterygium Hypoglaucum (Lévl.) Hutch on macrophage inflammatory factor, and to provide the oretical basis and experimental basis for the clinical application of these drugs. Methods Two batches ofTripterygium Wilfordii Hook. F. andTripterygium Hypoglaucum (Lévl.) Hutch were collected, and then the samples turned into alcohol extract by extraction and isolation. The IC50values of alcohol extracts were measured by MTT in BMDM cell. BMDM cell induced by the 4 batches of samples with IC50, then IL-6, IL-10, iNOS were detected by Elisa. Results The content of IL-6 (5.08 ± 0.96 pg/ml, 6.24 ± 0.20 pg/mlvs. 7.92 ± 0.84 pg/ml) and iNOS (0.14 ± 0.04 ng/ml, 0.36 ± 0.11 ng/mlvs. 0.86 ± 0.13 ng/ml) in Anhui and Guizhou groups were significantly lower than sulfasalazine (P<0.05), and the content of IL-10 (21.20 ± 4.24 pg/ml, 26.49 ± 4.44 pg/mlvs. 9.06 ± 0.40 pg/ml) in Anhui and Guizhou groups were significantly higher than sulfasalazine (P<0.05). The content of IL-6 (4.22 ± 0.38 pg/ml, 4.55 ± 0.44 pg/mlvs. 7.92 ± 0.84 pg/ml) and iNOS (0.07 ± 0.04 ng/ml, 0.28 ± 0.10 ng/mlvs. 0.86 ± 0.13 ng/ml) in Hunan and Zhejiang groups were significantly lower than sulfasalazine (P<0.05) .Conclusion The anti-inflammatory effect ofTripterygium WilfordiiHook. F. treat rheumatoid arthritis is better than sulfasalazine andTripterygium Hypoglaucum (Lévl.) Hutch.

Objective To observe the effect of different regions of tripterygium hypoglaucum (Lévl.) hutch on macrophage inflammatory factor, and to providetheoretical basis and experimental basis for the clinical application of tripterygium hypoglaucum (Lévl.) hutch. Methods 5 batches of tripterygium hypoglaucum (Lévl.) hutch were collected, then the samples turned into alcohol extract by extraction and isolation. The IC50 values of alcohol extracts were measured by MTT in BMDM cell. B MDM cell were induced by the 5 batches of samples with IC50, then IL-6, IL-10, iNOS were detected by Elisa. The efficacy of different regions of tripterygium hypoglaucum (Lévl.) hutch on macrophage inflammatory factor was evaluated by comparison with sulfasalazine. Results The content of IL-6 (4.22 ± 0.38 pg/ml, 4.55 ± 0.44 pg/ml vs.7.92 ± 0.84 pg/ml) and iNOS (0.07 ± 0.04 ng/ml, 0.28 ± 0.10 ng/ml vs. 0.86 ± 0.13 ng/ml) in HuNan and ZheJiang groups were significantly lower than sulfasalazine (P<0.05), and the content of IL-10 (19.34 ± 6.06 pg/ml, 24.34 ± 3.03 pg/ml vs. 9.06 ± 0.40 pg/ml) in Guizhou and Fujian groups were higher than sulfasalazine (P<0.05). Conclusion The anti-inflammatory effect of HuNan and ZheJiang's tripterygium hypoglaucum (Lévl.) hutch treat rheumatoid arthritis is better than sulfasalazine, so theyaregenuine regional drug in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Additional research will analyze associations between tripterygium hypoglaucum (Lévl.) hutch and rheumatoid arthritis.
