Aromataseinhibitors(AI)aretheleadingcarefortheadjuvanttreatmentofhormone responsive carcinoma of the breast as demonstrated in a number of large international phase III randomised tri-als.Aromatase inhibitor-associated arthralgia (AIA )was a somewhat unexpected side effect of this class of agents and has proven to be potentially problematic in clinical practice. The pathogenesis of AIA is not very clear currently, with the cause of most research focusing on estrogen deprivation, immune abnormalities,tenosy-novial changes and joint effusions. It is extremely urgent that we evaluate this syndrome and select appropriate therapeutic strategies to reduce the incidence of AIA,thereby improving breast cancer-related outcomes.

By using the software CiteSpace Ⅱ,the paper makes a quantitative analysis and interpretation of research literatures on telemedicine in SCIE of Web of Science from three perspectives, namely the research hotspots, knowledge base and research fronts. The research hotspots of telemedicine mainly include tele-diagnosis,tele-monitoring and evaluation of the application effects of telemedicine. It sets forth key literatures representing the knowledge base one by one and reveals that most of them focus on clinical applications. The analysis of burst terms indicates that more attention has been paid to tele-monitoring and distance education of chronic diseases in recent years and mobile technology is one of the greatest driving forces for the development of telemedicine at the present stage.

The unbalanced allocation and sharing of medical and health information resources have retrained the medical and health information construction in China. The current allocation of medical and health information re-sources was thus summarized in this paper by analyzing the CNKI. net-covered literature on medical and health in-formation, the number of undergraduates in colleges and universities, the number of employed medical and health information professionals in Eastern, Central and Western China, and in different provinces of China using the RSR, and suggestions were put forward for the development of medical and health cause in our country.

Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of different concentrations of elastin-like polypeptides (ELP) as novel submucosal injection material for endoscopic submucosal dissection. Methods Forty healthy New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups (n=20).The first group by submucosal injection of different drugs were randomly divide into five groups (n=4).Four concentrations of 50 ku ELP (0.05,0.025,0.012 5,0.005 g/ml) were used separately in each group, while glycerin fructose was used for control group. Each solution (2 ml) was injected into the submucosa through the resected margin, the increase of mucosal thickness and surface changes were observed and recorded at 0,5,10,and 30 min.The subgroup by submucosal injection of different drugs were randomly divide into five groups (n=4).The injection pressure of each solution (2 ml) with the 25-gauge needle was calculated by a manometer, which was connected between the needle and syringe. Results The submucosal uplift heights in groups using the 0.05 g/ml ELP and 0.025 g/ml ELP injection were significantly thicker than that of glycerin fructose (P<0.05),the 0.012 5 g/ml ELP and glycerin fructose injection showed no significant difference (P>0.05),whereas the uplift height in glycerin fructose group was thicker than that of the 0.005 g/ml ELP (P<0.05).The injection pressure correlated with the ELP concentration. The injection pressures of 0.05,0.025,0.012 5,0.005 g/ml ELP solutions were (332±36) kPa,(223±24) kPa,(174±22) kPa and (142±19) kPa,respectively, and that of glycerin fructose was (269±17) kPa.The 0.025 g/ml ELP solution was easily injected into the porcine stomach to create submucosal uplift. The injection pressure of the 0.025 g/ml ELP solution showed significantly lower value compared with that of glycerin fructose (P<0.05).Conclusions ELP might be a promising agent for submucosal injection for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD),and 0.025 g/ml ELP might be efficient concentration for maintaining mucosal elevation, injection pressure and safety.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(12):1033-1034
Objective To explore the effective method on the knee osteoarthritis (KOA) of stroke patients. Methods Twenty-four stroke patients with KOA were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group with 12 cases in each group. All patients received facilitation technique exercise, the patients in the treatment group were added with an extra complex therapy of electronic acupuncture, physical and exercise thepapies. All patients of two groups were assessed with visual analogous score (VAS) and Fugl-Meyer Motion Scale (FMMS) before treatment and one course after treatment. Results After treatment, the scores of VAS and FMMS of the patients in the treatment group were significantly better than that in the control group ( P<0.01).Conclusion Multidisciplinary rehabilitation including electronic acupuncture, physical, and exercise is efficiancy to KOA of stroke patients.

Accurate assessment of the degree of coronary artery stenosis is very important to guide the revascularization of patients with coronary heart disease. In recent years, functional assessment of the impact of coronary artery stenosis on the distal myocardium is changing the traditional concept of revascularization. The superiority of the fractional flow reserve(FFR) in guiding coronary interventional therapy has been widely verified in clinical practice. Due to its invasive operation, high cost, and high side effects of vasodilators during examinations, its application in my country is relatively limited. Quantitative flow ratio as a new, noninvasive, and rapid tool for assessing coronary stenosis, is being favored by researchers. This article reviews the clinical research progress of quantitative flow ratio and prospects its future clinical applications.

Lysostaphin is highly effective on eliminating methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). In order to achieve controlled release of lysostaphin, a biocompatible drug carrier is needed. Hydroxyapatite/chitosan (HA/CS) composites were chosen to carry lysostaphin and sample composites with different weight ratios of HA to CS, including 80/20, 70/30, 60/40, and 40/60, were prepared. Multiple analyses were performed to determine the structural and physicochemical properties of the composites, including scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. We immersed HA/CS composites loaded with 1 wt% lysostaphin to test in vitro release activity and cultured MC3T3-E1 cells to carry out biocompatibility test. The result of the release behavior of the composites revealed that the controlled release of lysostaphin from 60/40 HA/CS composites was the highest release rate of (87.4 ± 2.8)%, which lasted for 120 hours. In biocompatibility testing, MC3T3-E1 cells were able to proliferate on the surface of these composites, and the extract liquid from the composites could increase the growth of the cells. These results demonstrate the controlled release of lysostaphin from HA/CS composites and their biocompatibility, suggesting the potential application of these composites to bone injury and infection applications.

Journal of Korean Medical Science 2008;23(3):537-539
We report a case of complicated cataract aggravated after taking herbal medication for atopic dermatitis. An 11-yr-old boy was referred for the evaluation of decreased visual acuity in both eyes for 2 months. Past history showed that he had been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis when he was 1 yr old. He had been treated only with herbal medication for a period of 8 months prior to visiting our clinic. He had his visual acuity checked in a local ophthalmic clinic one year before, and the visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes at that time. When attending our clinic the ophthalmologic examination showed that his best corrected visual acuity was 20/200 in both eyes. Lenses of both eyes had severe posterior subcapsular and posterior capsular opacity. Phacoemulsification, posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation, and posterior continuous curvilinear capsulectomy were performed in both eyes. After 3 months postoperatively, the best corrected visual acuity was recovered to 20/20 in both eyes without any complication. Our case suggests that there may be a risk of aggravation of cataract or development of cataract after treatment with some unidentified herbal medication in a patient with atopic dermatitis.
