1.Application of neutrophil CD64 on the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases

The early diagnosis of serious infection is very important since the fatality rate is quite high.Traditional diagnostic methods of infection includes procalcitonin,leukocyte count,CRP and so on,of which the sensitivity and specificity is not able to achieve the early diagnosis.Recently,neutrophil CD64 has been widely concerned for the high sensitivity and specificity in early diagnosis of bacterial infection.Flow cytometry is applied to detect neutrophil CD64 in early diagnosis of infectious diseases including respiratory infection,septicemia,neonatal intensive infection,burn and postoperative infection.What's more,the sensitivity and specificity can be further improved if neutrophil CD64 was combined with other inflammatory markers.Thus,neutrophil CD64 detected by flowy cytometry plays an important role in the diagnosis,monitoring,prognosis,therapeutic effect evaluation of infectious diseases.
2.Resistant mechanism about rapamycin and solution

mTOR signaling pathway is closely related to cell proliferation,cell cycle and other pathological processes about tumor.Rapamycin plays an anti-tumor effect through inhibiting mTOR,but it prone to drug resistance,which leads to limited clinical application.Its resistant mechanism is related with the activation of PI3K-Akt,which is regulated with negative feedback.Dual inhibitors of related proteins of mTOR pathway are expected to reverse the drug resistance.
3.Drug Combination on in vitro Activities of Multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the in vitro inhibitory effects of antibacterials in combination carbapenem against multiresistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa.METHODS The protocol was designed by checkboard method and the MIC of the two antibiotics in combination was determined by broth dilution method.FIC was calculated according to MIC results.RESULTS The MIC50 and MIC90 of eight kinds of antibiotics were lower to 1-16 times and 1-64 times,respectively.The synergistic and additive antibacterial activity was seen in ceftazidime with amikacin,piperacillin with tobramycin and azlocillin with sulbactam.The lomefloxacine with ampicillin and lomefloxacine with ceftriaxone were not correlated.CONCLUSIONS Antibacterial activity of ceftazidime combined with amikacin against carbapenem-multiresistant P.aeruginosa is the best.
4.Interleukin-6 is involved in the enhanced proliferation of HEK293 cells by the tumor specific antigen of HCA520

Objective: To investigate the effect of tumor specific antigen of HCA520 on the proliferation of HEK293 cells and to obtain some functional implications for HCA520. Methods: MTT assay was performed with HEK293 stable cell lines transfected with pcDNA3-HCA520-flag construct. Cytokines probably involved in HCA520 enhanced proliferation were screened by RT-PCR, and effect of these cytokines on the HEK293 cell proliferation was further confirmed by MTT assay. Results: HCA520 significantly promoted the proliferation of HEK293 cells, which was at least partially attributed to the up-regulation of IL-6 in HEK293 cells by HCA520. Conclusion: HCA520 might accelerate tumorigenesis by promoting proliferation of cancerous cells.
5.Effects of ischemic postconditioning and preconditioning against ischemic reperfusion injury of skeletal muscle

Objective To study the protective effects of ischemic postconditioning and preconditioning against ischemic reperfusion injury of skeletal muscle.Methods According to different treatment methods on ischemia-reperfusion injury,forty Wistar rats were divided into I/R group,IPost group,IPC group,IPC + IPost group,control group.Using a rat amputation-like model,Wistar rats underwent temporary amputation at the level of the femur,excluding the femoral vessels.By measuring MDA,MPO,the extent of skeletal muscle infarction,protective effects of postconditioning and preconditioning,postconditioning combined with preconditioning were observed.Results In the Ipost group,IPC group,IPC + Ipost group,MDA and MPO at one hour of reperfusion and extent of muscle infarction at 6 hour of reperfusion was lower than group IR (P < 0.05).In the Ipost group,MDA,MPO and extent of muscle infarction was similar to group IPC + Ipost; In the Ipost group,MDA and MPO was lower than group IPC,extent of muscle infarction was similar to group IPC.Conclusion Ischemic postconditioning at the beginning of reperfusion can protect skeletal muscle against ischemic reperfusion injury.Preconditioning also protect skeletal muscle against ischemic reperfusion injury,but preconditioning combined with postconditioning don't offer additional benefit over preconditioning or postconditioning alone.
6.Reform of teaching system of military hygiene

Military hygiene is one of compulsory courses for undergraduates majored in clinical medicine in military colleges. Aiming at the disconnection between theoretical and practical ability in the traditional teaching process and combining with professional features of military hygiene, teaching reform should give priority to curriculum standards, human resource construction, teaching content and method, teaching quality assessment and feedback system. Meanwhile, teaching idea of‘learning to use’ should be strengthened and teaching scheme in line with the actual needs of military health service security work should be put forward in order to provide new ideas for training military health personnel.
7.Experimental study of Ti-75 alloy as a substrate of composite implant

Objective:To evaluate the biocompatibility of Ti-75 alloy(TA) as a substrate of composite implant (CI) and the role of the shear strength of TA-coating in the CI-bone interface. Methods:A transcortical implant model was used. A total of 32 implants of CI and TA were implanted into bilateral femur of 4 adult mongrel dogs. the animals were killed 3 and 6 months after surgery. The implant-bone interfaces were observed by morphological examination and the interface shear strength was measured by push-out test. After push-out test, the failure interfaces were observed by SEM. Results:Osseo-integration was confirmed in the both interfaces of CI and TA with bone. 9.Application and biocompatibility of ureter stent in treating urinary system diseases

OBJECTIVE: To summarize advances in clinical application of ureter stent and its biocompatibility. METHODS: A computer-based online search of CNKI (1989/2009) and Medline (1989/2009) was performed with the key words of "ureter, biocompatibility, stent, treatment, complications" in Chinese and English respectively. A total of 51 articles were collected. and 21 were included. The treatment advances and its biocompatibility of ureter stent were summarized, and clinical application advances, biocompatibility and complication prevention of ureter stent were explored. RESULTS: Ureter stent includes polymerizer, metal and degradable material stents. As the common implants in treatment of upper urinary tract diseases, ureter stent functions as stent and internal drainage, and relieve ureteral obstruction, prevent leakage of urine postoperatively and ureterostenosis. Complications following ureter stent implantation include stent shifting, urine reflux, irdtative symptoms of bladder, fouling and stone formation as well as infection. However, these complications can be relieved through positive treatment. CONCLUSION: Ureter stent is an effective approach to treat urologic disease, but the biocompatibility required improvement. Rigorous operation during stent implantation and positive treatment of complication can effectively prevent complications.
10.Association of glycemic index of the mixed food with glucose and lipid metabolism index in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective To investigate the relationship between glycemic index (GI) of mixed foods and glucose and lipid metabolism index in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus, and to analyze the effects of CI response with regard to sex and obesity. Methods Forty-three patients with diabetes mellitus were divided into two groups with randomly crossover methods: high CI group and low GI group. Mixed meals were given for ten weeks (washing time:2 weeks). The biochemistry index and anthropometric index at baseline,before and after the first and second phase were measured. At the same time,fasting blood glucose(FBG)and postprandial 2 h blood glucose (2hBG) were supervised thrice a week and the daily energy, three macronutrients, and GI were calculated during trial. Results GI was positively correlated with FBG, 2hBG, homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance ( HOMA-IR) ,body mass index ( BMI), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol ( r = 0. 097-0. 423, P = 0. 000 1-0.01). GI value was a strong associated factor for FBG and 2hBG in overweight male patients. Conclusions The GI of mixed foods can better reflect the level of glucose response, especially in obese men. And it had good correlations with other metabolic indexes.
